EXTERIOR LIGHTING, SERVICE BRAKES
lighting is not sufficient for seeing far enough ahead on low beam and high beam is more like regular, when turning there is hardly any lighting within the turn making it dangerous in my opinion. i recommend slowing almost to stop before making a turn especially to the right.also i have had to get my right headlight repaired by nissan within the first 2 months of purchase in july and august of 2024. the right headlight went completely out both times. the lighting on my vehichle is terrible also i notice the breaking is not that great as it takes to long to come to complete stop with normal braking pressure...i also do not like the auto idle when coming to a stop as if you have to accelerate quickly it causes a hesitation. could be bad in an emergency type situation

This truck was parked in the driveway for at least 24 hours. The battery was dead, so my fiancé got the jumper box out of the truck and popped the hood. After he lifted the hood, he got one of the clamps on the battery when the truck started to roll forward. He couldn’t get out in enough time and was run over. The truck can be inspected upon request. There was a police report and insurance report but no one inspected the vehicle.

I [XXX] PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM DAYTONA, NISSAN ON [XXX] ON THE MORNING OF [XXX], THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. AND WAS FLASHING. I TOOK VIDEOS OF ALL THE DIFFERENT OCCURRENCES.I WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TALKED TO THE SALESMAN THAT SOLD IT TO US.HIS NAME WAS SIMON.AND HE BROUGHT US IN, AND WE WERE TALKING TO A MANAGER THEY DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND TRY TO RESET IT AS WE WERE LEAVING, THE SALESMAN WALKED US OUT.WHEN WE FIRED UP THE VEHICLE, THE WHOLE DASH FLASHED AND WENT BLACK IN FRONT OF THE SALESMAN.A DAY LATER, WE BROKE DOWN IN THE TRUCK AND HAD TO BE JUMPED.WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY PUT A NEW BATTERY IN AND A COUPLE DAYS LATER, IT CAME ON AGAIN.BUT TOOK IT IN AGAIN, AND THEY PUT US IN A RENTAL CAR FOR A WEEK THEY TOLD US WHEN WE GOT THE TRUCK BACK THAT THEY CHANGED A AIRBAG SENSOR AND THEN A COUPLE WEEKS LATER, MY SON WAS DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE STALLED ON HIM WHILE DRIVING IT TOOK HIM 4X TO FIRE IT BACK UP. WHEN IT DID FIRE BACK UP, IT WOULD ONLY GO 7 MILE AN HOUR. AND IT WAS JERKING FORWARD. HE TOOK IT DIRECTLY TO NISSAN. THEY RAN SOME DIAGNOSTIC ON IT. AND DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AGAIN, BUT THEY COULDN'T SEE IT. DO IT AGAIN. SO ON [XXX] THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON. AND FINALLY ON SEPTEMBER 11TH WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY PUT US IN A RENTAL CAR. AND THE MECHANIC TOLD US THAT HE THINKS THAT IT POSSIBLY COULD BE THE INDICATOR LIGHT. THE PARTS MANAGER AT DAYTONA NISSAN SAID HE'S LOOKED ON THE WEBSITE AND THEY SAID THAT THE PART THAT WE NEED IS ON. INDEFINITE, BACK ORDER AND PROBABLY WON'T GET IT. WE HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE TO TRY TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION HER NAMED IS BHAVIKA PHONE NUMBER 888-800-5139 EXT 7320456 CASE # [XXX] SHE SAYS THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE I'M HAVING TO PAY $820 A MONTH FOR A VEHICLE THAT'S UNSAFE AND NOT IN MY POSSESSION. We have a fleet of 2023-2025 Nissan Frontiers. Starting in December of 2024 we began having problems with the vehicles electrical system going wild and shutting the trucks down. It causes all of the lights to come on and the truck to stall and not restart, We did not realize that we had a problem until it happened to multiple vehicles over the last several months. A few of them were brought to the dealership where we were told they could not find any problems and just replaced the batteries. So, when some of the others did it, we just replaced the batteries ourselves. This week asked again if there was a known issue and were told Nissan only knows of a battery drain issue. These vehicles are shutting down sometimes while our people are driving them. They also try to restart themselves sometimes. They are automatically applying the breaks when this happens wile the ABS light comes on. This is an extremely dangerous situation for our fleet drivers as well as the motoring public. It has happened to 10 of the 15 Frontiers that we own.

When driving, the collision sign randomly comes on. It causes the the vehicle to rev and there's a lag in picking up speed. There are times when the vehicle is "stuck" while waiting on a left turn and it screeches and jolts when I press on the gas to move forward before it actually moves.

Dealer has verified that a gap around the windshield at the top of the passenger side in front of the sun visor is large enough to allow air into it as to create a whistling noise when reaching speeds of up to 70 mph. It is only a matter of time that water intrusion will occur & it is possible a windshield will lift & loosen & possibly may become airborne. I believe a recall should be issued immediately to fix the issue before a major incident occurs. Nissan is aware of the issue & is covering under warranty up to 36,000 miles only. For others who have extended warranties they are not covering the defect. With the amount of response on social media I would estimate that this issue affects well over 50% of Frontiers. It is a well known issue with the manufacturer yet they will not do a voluntary recall. They need help deciding to do the right thing!!

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that on one occasion, while stopped at a traffic light at a busy intersection, the Auto START/STOP system turned off the engine, and the engine failed to restart as designed. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the residence, where a mobile mechanic jump-started the vehicle, and a handheld diagnostic machine was unable to retrieve a fault code. The failure could not able to be replicated. The contact stated that during a second occasion, the shifter was able to shift out of park(P) into neutral(N), and the vehicle was pushed off the road to safety with the assistance of a State Trooper. The contact attempted to jumpstart the vehicle, and while there was power, the Push to Start button was pressed, but the power shut off. The contact stated that after waiting for a while, the vehicle was restarted and operated as intended. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and suggested that the vehicle be taken to dealer, and if the failure was associated with the drive train, the vehicle would be repaired under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.

Tapping noise when starting vehicle in the mornings or when cold (now it occurs at all times at cold start despite outside temperature). Tapping lasts from about 30 seconds to a couple of minutes. Problem has been reproduced by the dealer and a techline case was submitted to Nissan on 3 JUL 2025. To date there has been no response from Dealer or Nissan on cause or how to rectify.

After deactivating the parking assistance system while towing a small trailer and backing up, the info/taiment screen blacked out. No back up camera available. The screen finally came back on after driving for 5 minutes. This vehicle has already been in for a previous recall on the same problem.

overly high arm strength is need to steer the truck, it's more like driving a B61 mack truck, .nissan calls it road feel, it's more like tear your arms off, seems to be a common complaint in the generation 3 frontier ,steering is to heavy steering radius is large making for parking in tight areas hard , they need to offer people in need a kit to increase the pressure or flow to decrease effort needed to turn the steering wheel

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that the vehicle was manufactured and delivered with no rear tow hitch installed. The contact indicated that the missing tow hitch created a safety hazard concerning the fuel tank in the event of a collision in the rear of the vehicle. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the issue, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V917000 (TRAILER HITCHES, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). The failure mileage was unknown.
