Backgroud: Recall #26V216 recalls classes of Mercedes vehicles for U-Joint failures. My vehicle - 2019 E460 4Matic Wagon is included in this class under the notice (Vehicle #6 [XXX] ) Issue: I took my vehicle to the dealer on Monday, 5/11 because of a hard knocking sound when I de/accelerate. Dealer inspected and noted that my Ujoint has failed. The estimate is $8100 for repairs. MB and dealer have both indicated that my VIN is not covered by the recall but have not explained why. My car is currently unsafe to drive and therefore non-operational. I have not approved repairs because of the substantial cost and resolution of whether covered by Recall warranty. Vehicle: 2021 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sedan (W213) VIN: [XXX] While operating the vehicle, the diagnostic system displayed the fault code P240200 related to the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP). The warning message indicated a “positive short circuit” in the fuel vapor leak diagnosis pump control circuit. The malfunction appears to involve the EVAP diagnostic module and/or associated electrical wiring near the fuel system. The affected component may be available for inspection upon request. The issue raises safety concerns because the fault involves an electrical short circuit associated with the fuel vapor control system. Potential risks may include electrical overheating, malfunction of the fuel vapor management system, fuel vapor leakage, emissions-related failures, or unexpected vehicle operating issues. Prior to the incident, warning messages appeared on the vehicle diagnostic display. The fault code was identified using the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic system. No collision or fire occurred at this time. The problem has not yet been fully repaired, but preliminary assessment suggests a possible failure of the EVAP leak detection pump, control module, wiring harness, connector, or related electrical components. The condition may be reproducible because the warning message remains active. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or insurance representatives. Dealer inspection is planned. UNKNOWN whether this condition is currently associated with an official recall or service campaign for this VIN. This vehicle was originally purchased in the United States and is currently located outside the [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The failed component is a fuel pump, and it is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk due to the following: 1) Sudden engine stalling 2) Dangerous power loss while accelerating 3) Potential fire risks; a damaged fuel pump assembley can cause fuel leaks and overheating due to insufficient fuel supply can increase the risk of explosion or fire. 4) Gas fumes from a fuel leak are highly harmful and dangerous. They are toxic to inhale causing dizziness, headaches, nausea or respitory issues.

There is a recall on my year model 2017 Mercedes E3 hundred 4matic for the steering column shift module, but I’m being told that my specific vin was not included, but it is having the exact issues as the recall while driving the shift lever will not leave drive to go into reverse. It will only go to park. It refuses shift commands. If I shut the engine off and turn it back on sometimes it will allow me to go into other gears again.

Driving down Interstate 65 just south of Bay Minette Alabama and doing approximately 70MPH, there was a total failure of the sunroof. This happened where crazing started and then a catastrophic failure of the glass, blowing out the sunroof. This happened in the space of about 30 seconds. It appears to be the exact circumstance outlined in NHTSA Recall #24V874000. Shards of glass entered the cabin, and while there were no injuries, the passenger was hit in the face with debris. The car behind, although hit with some glass, swerved to avoid it and moved on without stopping. No police report was filed. The car was previously inspected by Mercedes under the recall and we were told that the glass was fine and MB closed the recall on this particular VIN. This is a post inspection failure. Mercedes have so far, refused to honor any type of recall work to replace the roof. At this time, I have opened a case with MB USA and await an outcome.

- #11732925April 22, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL
The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz E450. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the cruise control activated, a yellow "Active Lane Keeping Assistance is Inoperable" message was displayed, followed by a red "Emergency Braking to Begin" message displayed on the instrument panel. To prevent the failure, the contact immediately deactivated the cruise control. The dealer was notified about the failure on several occasions, and two separate cases were filed with the manufacturer. The dealer replaced the steering wheel, replaced several fuses, and performed several software updates to correct the failure under warranty; however, the failure persisted after each repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,500.

My car is not accelerating when I shift into drive or reverse. It says “reversing not possile-service required” error. Out the blue. There is a known recall on these model cars but Mercedes benz is saying its vin specific and mine is not covered even though I am experiencing the exact same issue. As I was entering the vehicle and getting into my seat, my right ring finger became caught in the passenger-side window as it was closing. The window failed to stop or reverse upon encountering my finger, which is a critical safety function designed to prevent exactly this type of injury. Instead, the window continued to close with full force, crushing my finger and holding it trapped. The pressure was so severe that it ripped my nail and nail bed out and caused a displaced fracture.

Strong smell of fuel from the rear wheel well areas, especially after a fill. I have been searching the recalls and found a 15V-792 / 2015110006 Recall Summary as well as a 15V-792 / 2015110006 Recall Solution. Please advise if this is of safety concern and the dealer should address this concern. [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I’m having issues with my control module not going forward or backwards at times and there was a recall on models of this vehicle for that exact reason NHTSA ID: 17V078000 Issued: Feb 2, 17. Dealership is telling me it’s not open. I’m scared for my safety when my car doesn’t shift in the correct gear. This started in 2021 or 2022 and I’m not getting resolution. When getting my bumper repaired I noticed that this was on the recall list a few years ago. I’ll submit the papers I received form Park Place.

- #11730465April 10, 2026SERVICE BRAKES
I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding my 2010 E350 (VIN # [XXX] ). I have taken great pride in owning and maintaining this vehicle, and I want to share my concerns based on my recent experience. I have consistently kept this car well-maintained, following all recommended service schedules and ensuring that any necessary repairs were handled promptly. Up until now, I have not experienced any significant issues with the vehicle. It has been reliable, well cared for, and in excellent condition. Recently, when the brake line indicator came on, I immediately took the vehicle to a mechanic to have it inspected. I was informed that the brake fluid reservoir was empty and that there was a leak present. Upon further inspection, the mechanic identified that the leak was coming from the rear of the vehicle. It was then determined that the issue involved the rear brake line located near the gas tank. This is extremely concerning, not only because it directly impacts the safety of the vehicle, but also because, based on the research I have conducted, this appears to be a common issue with this particular model. Given that this is a critical safety component, it is troubling that such a failure would occur despite the vehicle being properly maintained. Based on what I have researched, I feel that I have a valid complaint. This does not seem to be the result of neglect or lack of care, but rather a potential defect or known issue associated with this vehicle. As an owner who has taken every step to properly maintain and care for this car, it is both frustrating and disappointing to now be dealing with such a serious problem. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed thoroughly and that an appropriate resolution be provided. I believe it is reasonable to expect accountability for an issue that appears to be both common and safety-related. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and a fair resolution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

Last April, during our routine oil change our mechanic pointed out that our Cam sensors were wicking oil into the harness and making its way to the ECM. This is the first we had ever heard of this issue and the repair was $2400 or so. After researching the problem we wrote to MB USA and never got any response until we filed a lawsuit in sessions court. Turns out we cant do that locally. Mercedes has never contacted us since we registered the car in 2016 and never even acknowledged us until after we filed the attempt to collect the cost of repair. THE problem is endemic and well known. MB put a poorly designed part on their 270 engines and it could have had a worse outcome had the ECM failed while my wife was driving on the interstate Please let me know what has already been done about this problem and if they are required to notify owners. MB is silent on the issue to the point I feel as though they are hiding something.
