  Special Service Program (SSPE1) - 2026 CX-50 Hybrid – Battery Label Concern Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a Special Service Program (SSP) on certain 2026MY CX-50 vehicles produced from September 8, 2025 through September 26, 2025. If you receive this notice, your vehicle is included in this SSP. What is the problem? On certain CX-50 Hybrid vehicles, inappropriate battery labels were attached to the center pillar and the traction battery beneath the rear seat. QR codes printed on these labels are incorrect and do not link to the battery information website, the required information related to the vehicle’s hybrid battery cannot be displayed. This condition does not comply with Section 1962.6 (Battery Labeling Requirements), Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations. Although only the six states (California, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington) have adopted the battery labeling requirements of Section 1962.6 starting with the 2026MY, Mazda is also implementing corrective action for vehicles in all other states. What will Mazda do? Your Mazda dealer will attach the correct battery labels to the center B-pillar and the hybrid battery, free of charge.

  COMPLIANCE WITH NEW YORK STATE GENERAL BUSINESS LAW §399‑CCCCC (CONNECTED VEHICLE SERVICE; DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS) DESCRIPTION This Service Information is issued in accordance with New York State General Business Law §399􀀀CCCCC (Connected Vehicle Service; Domestic Violence Victims). This regulation is intended to protect victims of domestic violence by allowing them to request the termination of third-party access (including access by an alleged abuser) to connected vehicle services, such as vehicle location tracking and remote control functions. To support this requirement, this Service Information enables confirmation of whether a vehicle is subject to connected vehicle services by referring to the SUBJECT VIN & PRODUCTION DATE RANGE, and provides guidance on the procedure to terminate such services when a customer requests the removal of third-party access for an applicable vehicle. Effective July 1, 2026, if a customer requests action under this regulation, a CMU/CDC software update must be performed to enable appropriate control of connected vehicle service access. If no request is made by the customer, the CMU/CDC software update is not required. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Confirm that the customer has requested deactivation of connected services in accordance with New York State General Business Law related action. 2. Perform the CMU/CDC software update according to the procedures outlined in the appropriate TSB shown in the table below:

The changes are noted in Red. 16-002/26 01/12/26 DESCRIPTION The release notes outlined below provide an overview of bug fixes, feature improvements, and updates included in the latest software release. The latest version of software contains all the updates of the previous versions. NOTE: If current version is not 7230C1A-NA02_***** , this TSB is not applicable. Version 7230C1A-NA02_10022 enables termination of connected services at customer request and fixes these software errors (bugs): Termination of Connected Services by customers at their initiative has been enabled. Accordingly, the following items have been updated. Add a "Data Communication Information" item under Settings > System Settings>Online Connectivity. ○ Updated the text displayed on the confirmation screen for disabling Connected Services. ○ • The list on the center display may appear distorted, giving a double image. • The system may reboot when the ignition is turned on. However, the camera images on the center display are not affected, and the back camera is usable. • The voice recognition function does not start. • Apple CarPlay® may fail to connect while driving on the highway. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. 2.   DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit a clicking, popping, tapping or knocking noise from the front end when turning left or right and accelerating. NOTE: The noise could occur at different steering wheel angles or power levels. Due to the insulating properties of the suspension and chassis, it can be difficult to determine which driveshaft is at fault by listening from inside the vehicle. See the attached video for an example of an outer CV joint clicking. These noises may be caused by the outer ball joint cage machining being out of specification. To eliminate this concern, tighter quality controls have been implemented to ensure proper machining of the cage window. NOTE: The part number for the improved part has not been changed. The current parts inventory is after the countermeasure production date implementation.

SA-061/25 12/17/25 DESCRIPTION If you encounter any type of electrical concern (e.g, dead battery, engine no start, DTC(s) stored...), interview the customer before proceeding with normal MGSS diagnosis by asking if any aftermarket devices have been installed. Aftermarket devices may be the cause of the electrical concern. Below are a few examples of unusual electrical concerns caused by aftermarket devices. Examples: 1. Devices connected to the DLC-2 (battery discharge/DTC stored) 2. Devices plugged into the 12V outlet 3. GPS tracking device (engine no start/battery discharge) 4. Dash cam (DTC stored) 5. Non-certified USB cable (Apple Carplay™/ Android Auto™ will not connect) 6. Over-sized wheels/tires (incorrect GPS location) 7. DTC C0023:14 8. Decorative trim and/or cover on the START/STOP ENGINE button Example 1: Some electrical devices connected to the DLC-2 connector by insurance or mobile phone companies may cause: Battery discharge. The device may disrupt the CAN system battery saver mode. • IDS/MMDS will not communicate with the vehicle due to poor DLC-2 connection. The aftermarket device may cause DLC-2 female terminals to spread open.

SA-027/26 04/16/26 DESCRIPTION The Mazda DCA-8000 is required for all warranty battery testing. If the Mazda DCA-8000 is not used, incorrect battery testing may result in unnecessary battery replacement. Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code. NOTE: A Warranty Code is required for warranty claim submission Battery Identification (Mazda batteries have 2 rating types) 1. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings (excluding i-STOP batteries e.g. Q-85, S-95) molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Perform appropriate repair to vehicle. If needed, use the Battery Diagnostics of the DCA-8000 to test the charging and starting systems by following the on-screen instructions for entering the appropriate information. Refer to the Mazda DCA-8000 Instruction Manual for more information.

SA-037/26 05/28/26 DESCRIPTION Replacement battery packs for High Voltage systems are supplied with an additional label that matches the one attached to the service battery pack (refer to the sample High Voltage Battery Label image for reference). When replacing the battery pack in a 2026 or later model that has a similar label at the base of the left B-pillar, replace the label with the new one included in the service parts battery pack. REPAIR PROCEDURE Label Application: When replacing a High Voltage Battery: refer to the Label Application Process included in the "HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" or "M Hybrid Boost BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" procedures in the Workshop Manual for the applicable models.

  Attention: Mazda Sales, General, Parts and Service Managers Subject: Announcement of Emissions Recall 8026C and Special Service Program SSPE1 - Battery Label Concern - 2026MY CX-50 Hybrid vehicles Dear Mazda Dealer Colleagues, Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct an Emissions Recall and Special Service Program on certain 2026MY CX-50 Hybrid vehicles sold in the U.S. Please see the description, model, year, and VIN range below for all vehicles in these campaigns. There are 612 vehicles affected by Emission Recall 8026C and 1,997 vehicles affected by Special Service Program SSPE1. There are 2,609 total vehicles affected by these two concerns. Subject Vehicles: Model Subject VIN range Subject production date range 2026MY CX-50 Hybrid 7MM VA**** TN 142667 – 145555 From September 8, 2025 through September 26, 2025 **Only VIN’s in this range and with an “OPEN” status in eMDCS are affected. The subject VIN and production date ranges are based on all the subject vehicles regardless if the vehicle is in the Emissions recall or SSP. Emissions Recall 8026C: On certain CX-50 Hybrid vehicles, inappropriate battery labels were attached to the center pillar and the hybrid battery beneath the rear seat. QR codes printed on these labels are incorrect and do not link to the battery information website, the required information related to the vehicle’s traction battery cannot be displayed. This condition does not comply with Section 1962.6 (Battery Labeling Requirements), Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations. Special Service Program SSPE1: On certain CX-50 Hybrid vehicles, inappropriate battery labels were attached to the center pillar and the traction battery beneath the rear seat. QR codes printed on these labels are incorrect and do not link to the battery information website, the required information related to the vehicle’s hybrid battery cannot be displayed. This condition does not comply with Section 1962.6 (Battery Labeling Requirements), Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations. Although only the six states (California, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington) have adopted the battery labeling requirements of Section 1962.6 starting with the 2026MY, Mazda is also implementing corrective action for vehicles in all other states. Repair Outline, Photo Requirement and Label Ordering: For both campaigns, attach two labels to each vehicle; one on the B-pillar and the other on the hybrid battery beneath the rear seat. • Label Kit Ordering: The part used in this campaign is not ordered from the Dealer Assistance Group (DAG). The label kit is ordered from eSTORE via a specific procedure outlined in the Parts & Warranty information. Please follow detailed instructions in the document on how to order the labels. Each order will appear in your dealers list of eSTORE orders and be shipped overnight delivery free of charge. • AVIS rental vehicles in SSPE1: This SSP includes approximately 900 vehicles owned by AVIS rental car. All AVIS repair facilities are authorized to do this repair, but if a vehicle is at your Mazda dealer for a different warranty repair, the SSP can be completed. • VITALLY IMPORTANT: All warranty claims will be manually reviewed. There are 3 required photos that must be submitted with each warranty claim exactly as specified in the repair procedure. Claims with incorrect photos will require a re-repair at the dealer’s expense.

SA-029/25 10/16/25 and 06/02/25 DESCRIPTION This service information provides testing and charging procedures in order to promote proper battery maintenance, to deliver new vehicles with fully charged batteries, and to reduce unnecessary battery replacement cost. For new vehicles in stock at the dealer, inspect and maintain the batteries periodically according to the repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY MAINTENANCE Verify the State-of-charge (SOC) in the instrument cluster. MX-30 EV: If the SOC is lower than 26%, charge it to 50% (either by normal charging or quick charging). CX-90/CX-70 PHEV: If the SOC is lower than 1%, charge it to 10% (either by normal charging, quick charging or engine running).

SA-049/25 10/16/2025 DESCRIPTION Replacement battery packs for High Voltage systems are supplied with an additional label that matches the one attached to the service battery pack (refer to the sample High Voltage Battery Label image for reference). When replacing the battery pack in a 2026 or later model that has a similar label at the base of the left B-pillar, replace the label with the new one included in the service parts battery pack. REPAIR PROCEDURE Label Application: When replacing a High Voltage Battery: refer to the Label Application Process included in the "HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" or "M Hybrid Boost BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION" procedures in the Workshop Manual for the applicable models. In addition to the procedures outlined in the Workshop Manual, please follow these additional steps when removing an existing label to help simplify the application of the new one:
