SummaryTT: NOTE: This document ONLY applies to 2020 ES & 2020 NX vehicles built before 10/01/2019. (Vehicles built after that date use AT&T WiFi, not Verizon) Head unit telematics services become inoperative after DCM replacement and activation if the guest has an ACTIVE Verizon Wi-Fi pre-paid subscription. Head unit services include Wi-Fi, Destination Assist, Dynamic Navigation, and Dynamic Voice Recognition. Verizon is not able to transfer the pre-paid subscription to the new DCM automatically. As a result, the guest is unable to use their head unit telematics services. At this time if the DCM is replaced and activated before confirming the guests Wi-Fi subscription status, this may require Verizon?s IT to perform a manual fix on the customer?s account. To simplify the diagnosis and prevent the unnecessary replacement of parts, please refer to the procedure below. NOTE: This Tech Tip does not apply if the guest is currently under their Wi-Fi trial.

SummaryTSB: A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and service life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As a matter of policy, Lexus does not provide battery warranty coverage for discharged and/or failed batteries due to lack of maintenance. It is the dealer?s responsibility to maintain the specified State-Of-Charge (SOC) of the vehicle?s battery while in stock and ensure proper SOC at delivery.

SummaryTSB: Some 2018 ? 2020 model year Lexus vehicles equipped with the Enform? 2.0 Navigation System require a Special Service Tool (SST) USB flash drive to update the map, points of interest, and system software. The SST is used with applicable vehicles to deliver the update; however, the process for generating license keys differs from previous generations. Before attempting to perform a map update, the head unit?s expiration date must be checked. If the expiration date is still valid, a license key may be generated without the use of an activation card number. Updating the maps without the use of an activation card number is considered an Embedded Navigation Update (refer to pg. 10) and performing this process does not extend the duration of telematic map services. If the head unit?s expiration date is expired or will expire within the next 90 days, it should be recommended to the customer to purchase an activation number. Utilizing an activation number will initiate a Dynamic Navigation Update (refer to pg. 4). This Dynamic Navigation Update will perform the Embedded Navigation Update and provide telematic map services for a period of two years from the day that the Dynamic Navigation Update is performed. Activation card numbers are provided in an activation card number pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Follow the process in this bulletin to perform the update.
