IF THE VEHICLE OPERATOR **REPEATEDLY** PRESSES AND RELEASES THE SET BUTTON WITH THEIR FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR (A 'LIFT FOOT SET' TO BEGIN SPEED CONTROL OPERATION), THE VEHICLE MAY ACCELERATE AND EXCEED THE DESIRED SET SPEED BY UP TO 5 MPH (8 KM/H) AND THEN DECELERATE TO LESS THAN THE DESIRED SET SPEED BEFORE FINALLY ACHIEVING THE DESIRED SET SPEED.

SummaryTHE MEMORY SEAT FEATURE WHICH IS AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION FOR 1996, CONAINS A SOFT STOP PROTECTION FEATURE. THESE STOPS WILL BE SET WHEN THE SEAT COMES IN CONTACT WITH ANY OBJECT THAT INTERFERES WITH IT'S TRAVEL, STALLING THE MOTOR. THE STOPS WILL BE SET IN THE MEMORY OF THE MODULE, AND WILL LIMIT THE SEAT TRAVEL TO THE POINT THAT THE INTERFERENCE OCCURRED UNTIL THE STOP IS RESET. THERE ARE FIVE MOTORS WHICH OPERATE THE POWER SEATS. SOFT STOP CAN BE SET IN ANY DIRECTION FOR ALL FIVE MOTORS AND MORE THAN ONE STOP CAN BE SET IN SAME DIRECTION OF TRAVEL.
