SummaryEngine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emission Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** INFINITI is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 49,497 specific INFINITI vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or âSmog Checkâ test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. ï· P9329 â Affected Model Year 2015 ï· P9344 â Affected Model Year 2016 ï· P9346 â Affected Model Year 2017 ï· P9348 â Affected Model Year 2018 ï· P9350 â Affected Model Year 2019 2. Retailers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure client satisfaction. ï· - New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§ - Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information 3. Retailers should use ITB19-043 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign.

The engine control module (ECM) will be inspected, and reprogrammed if it applies. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Infiniti has assigned identification numbers P9329, P9344, P9346, P9348, and P9350 to this campaign. The correct number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY Retailers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a retailerâs inventory.

Summary2019-2020 QX60; PUSH BUTTON IGNITION AND DOOR REQUEST SWITCHES INOPERATIVE IF YOU CONFIRM All of the conditions listed below are occurring on an Applied Vehicle with the Intelligent Key within range. ï· - The doors will not lock/unlock when the request switch on an exterior door handle is pressed. ï· - The doors will lock/unlock when the respective buttons are pressed on the Intelligent Key. ï· - The engine will not start when the ignition switch is pressed while depressing the brake. ï· - The engine will start when pressing the Remote Engine Start (RES) button on the Intelligent Key. ï· - The engine will start when pressing the ignition switch while holding the Intelligent Key in front of it. ACTION Replace the BCM. ï· - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for the procedure to replace the BCM: ELECTRICAL & POWER CONTROL > BODY CONTROL SYSTEM > BCM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE)

ACTION 1. First perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure for the stored DTC to repair the vehicle according to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). 2. Reprogram the ECM after performing the diagnosis and repair. ï· -The ECM reprogram in this Service Procedure is not a repair for the DTC, but instead updates the way the permanent DTC is stored and allowed to be erased. The DTC must be properly diagnosed and repaired before the reprogram is applied.
