On October 8, 2025, my car's tachometer started to dip and my car began to shake like it was going to stall as I approached a traffic light. The check engine light came on. I was close to my destination (about a 1/4 mile) so I drove to the parking lot and turned off the car. I started it again and the check engine light turned off and the car was running fine. On October 13, 2025, I took my car in for a routine oil change to a local repair shop and when they tried to reset the oil change reminder, the system would not work. Within a day, the entire computer system for the radio, warning systems, air conditioner/heat, etc, would not work. I took it to Burlington Hyundai on October 15, 2025 and they had to replace the CPU in the car. I got my car back on October 22, 2025. They said the check engine light did not come on again. It was covered under my warranty. I had my brakes replaced while they had the car out of convenience.

I purchased this car from drive time, and when told about a possible recall on the engine i asked about it. We were told that the issue had been resolved. Not even 10 minutes after driving it off the lot the engine started misfiring, we had done a test drive prior to purchasing this vehicle and nothing had popped up on the dash about any problems. We have been unable to get it looked at. I was not sure if a report should have been filed until now. i am unable to produce photos at this time

Complete engine failure. Car was burning oil, wasn't aware. Since I am an on the road salesman I travel alot and get oil changes consistently. Then recently the engine oil light keeps coming on when rounding bends or stopping on a hill. I checked the dip stick and see oil is Half gone in between oil changes. The car stalled as I was approaching a dangerous intersection. Thankfully I was able to stop the car.

My car was parked, without any trees or other objects that could possibly damage my car near by, and the glass on my front windshield cracked for absolutely no reason. It starts where the glass attached to the car and spreads to the middle of my windshield. I believe there is an installation defect because this car is only 2 years old and has never had any damage to it. I also read that this is a common problem with other Hyundai models.

burning oil at a rate of 2 qts per 1000 miles driven. Known issue in these models of tucsons. Not covered by the class action lawsuit as this VIN was not identified. It is burning oil at a catastrophic rate. The problem has burned through multiple catalytic converters that were covered under the warranty but did not solve the underlying problem. Has been burning oil since owning the car a year ago.

I am dealing with this issue where I am getting fuel injector issue and getting cylinder 3 misfire and air fuel imbalance code. It comes and goes. I spent 1500 bucks flushing fuel system and replacing spark plugs and coil. But the issue is still there! i changed the battery and got it to dealership they said they could find the issue. I was on freeway going southbound near exit 34 when the car starts shaking and I lost acceleration

The engine consumes oil and requires catalytic converter replacement every year at inspection. The engine has been maintained with regular oil and filter changes and the oil is continuously needing to be topped off between changes. I have owned the vehicle for 5 years and have replaced the catalytic converter 3 times. The first time I had it replaced it was still under warranty and it was replaced by the dealership. The technician stated that it was a known issue with these vehicles. It was about six months before the check engine light was on again and showing the same code and problem. Every year I am replacing the catalytic converter to pass inspection. I have taken it to different locations every year to try to find a solution to this and they all say the engines are burning too much oil and causing catalytic converter failure.

Catalytic converter and oil leak which is causing the vehicle to lose power. The catalytic converter was replaced in 2024 and now is bad again in 2025. Oil consumption has been a problem since 2024. Hyuandi is refusing to repair the vehicle. Despite the engine making a knocking noise and the check engine light is flashing the vehicle is still under the 150,000 power train warranty

My truck started knock and losing power as I drove it. I took it to get serviced put the machine same is was a recall on the engine. I took it to the Hyundai dealership with in 2 weeks he said it was rejected by Hyundai to replace my motor. I service my car but they said I didn't. If it's a recall and not my fault.

I have experienced two near-fatal incidents involving a sudden, uncommanded loss of motive power while traveling at highway speeds (approx. 70 MPH). On February 11, 2026, the vehicle entered "Limp Home Mode" without warning, dropping speed to 60 MPH and 2000 RPM in heavy traffic. This caused an immediate and dangerous speed differential, nearly resulting in a high-speed rear-end collision. Simultaneously, the AC system disabled, indicating a severe engine protection event. Manufacturer Negligence: The vehicle was taken to Courtesy Hyundai of Tampa twice for this issue (Code P0087). They performed a "Knock Sensor" replacement and cleared data points, assuring me the vehicle was safe. The failure recurred immediately. I subsequently took the vehicle to Brandon Hyundai on February 13, 2026. Despite my reports of near-fatal highway failures, Brandon Hyundai was instructed by Hyundai Corporate to merely repeat the "Knock Sensor" replacement—a repair that had already failed to resolve the dangerous condition. Critical Safety Admission: On 02/23/2026, Brandon Hyundai Service Advisor Abel Gomez explicitly admitted that this repair is "not a fix, it is a temporary thing until it shows again," yet stated they must follow Corporate’s directive to release the car. Requested Action: Hyundai is knowingly releasing a vehicle with a recurring, life-threatening defect (P0087/Sudden Power Loss) by performing "band-aid" sensor swaps instead of addressing the high-pressure fuel system or internal engine failure. This practice is a direct violation of the Safety Act. I request an immediate investigation into Hyundai’s refusal to perform permanent repairs on GDI engines displaying these catastrophic failure codes.

- #11719953February 23, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The brake assist feature engaged when a second car cut a corner in front of me in Peoria AZ. The brakes engaged, and while waiting for the auto brake to release, a third care came up very fast behind me. I hit the gas in fear of being rear-ended. Apparently, in fear I simultaneously pulled on the steering column and the steering column pulled out beyond its normal range. The telescoping adjustment feature no longer works. The steering wheel is locked in a downward and elongated position. I took it to the local AZ Hyundai dealer for warranty repair and they said it was due to the Kirkland Hyundai dealerships failure to install a pin that locks the steering column in place after installing a lo-jack system. The column is not covered by warranty. There were no warning signs except the dangerous auto braking system, that caused a series of failures in the vehicle. This is the 4th time this braking system has almost caused a rear-end crash. The AZ Larry Miller Hyundai dealership suggested I contact the Kirkland Hyundai dealership in WA for damages. Damages to replace the steering column and replace the missing pin lock are nearly $3000.00 There are no pictures as the steering column has been reassembled but is bent and needs to be replaced.

- #11719936February 23, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I rented this vehicle for 5 days. In those 5 days, twice while driving on the highway (at 5-10 mph under the posted speed limit due to heavy traffic, dry and clear weather), I found it necessary to brake hard due to other vehicle traffic braking hard in front of me. When I had slowed down sufficiently and felt I had sufficient space between my vehicle and the one in front of me, I let off the brake pedal, but the "forward safety" feature continued to brake until the vehicle came to a complete stop nearly causing the vehicle behind me to hit my vehicle. To be clear, no accident occurred, but in one of those instanced the vehicle behind me was within ~1ft of hitting my rear bumper. Had the vehicle behind me not been able to stop in time, there would have been an accident, and because the brakes were locked by the computer, I could not have done anything to prevent it. After the second incident (on 2-15-2026), I looked through the vehicle setup information and found it is possible to disable the "forward safety" feature to prevent additional incidents, however, that setting can only be changed then the vehicle is stationary, and it automatically turns back on every time you start the vehicle.

- #11719845February 23, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated for approximately 30-seconds to 4-minutes. Additionally, while driving in the daytime, the message “Headlights Off” was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the diagnostic result was unknown. The failure had occurred four times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested that the dealer contact an engineer to go to the residence to inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was 3,940.

After inspection by a few people it was determined that the front passenger side lower frame cracked which then cracked the body oozing rusty water out of it. I was told that if the car was hit on the passenger side that it would not retain its ability to be stable and would crumple. It has been inspected by the Hyundai dealership, A general manager from another dealership and 3 auto body welders. This first appeared in December of 2025 after I had washed my car and was drying it off.

- #11719485February 20, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The automatic braking that happens when the car sensor thinks you are too close to another car is dangerous. This has happened to me three different times when there were cars in front of me turning right. There was plenty of room and the car was turning so I was following, and it not only slams on the brake and makes you stop, but then it takes it a minute to reset before you can move again which then can slow traffic. I was almost rear ended two of these times. It is unsafe. You can manually turn it off, but you have to re set it every time you get in the car. I have seen many complaints about this occurring and causing people whiplash as well due to the sudden stopping on Hyundai sites.

Hyundai Tucson has been jerking and shaking for over over 4 years now and either when taking to the dealership they reset the dual clutch and have replaced the same part twice in the dual clutch. This shaking has been happening since the car was bought brand new like a year after. The vehicle now will get stuck in gear and while driving will go down to 20 mph and get stuck in that speed. This is a serious safety issue. The dealer could replicate the shaking but not the gears being stuck. It has happened on more than one occasion and they just reset something but this continues to happen. There are no warning lights when the gears get stuck it just happens while driving and it has happened twice now in the last 3 weeks.

I have had 2 failures of the EGR valve. The first was covered under warranty. Hyundai is refusing to cover the second repair even though I think it should be covered under the 80,000 mile federal emissions warranty. The vehicle currently has 73,000 miles.
