The vehicle's OEM wiring harness caught fire during standard operation. We had just started our drive connected to a trailer and break controller that functioned flawlessly for a year with a different vehicle prior to this incident. The trailer is a 2025 and the brake controller was new at the time of purchasing the trailer in February 2025. the only thing that prevented further damage was my husband calling to say something was smoking and I needed to stop the car. I was driving to pickup my husband and children from the campground bath house to drive home. Yes, it is available for inspection. The safety of myself and any passengers was put at risk due to the electrical fire and all extenuating risks associated with that. The problem has not been reproduced by the manufacturer that I am aware of. The tech at the dealership verbally confirmed that the part in question was the cause of the fire and that the new (post repair) part did not have a secure 7way plug attachment to the break controller which was also brand new since the original was damaged during the incident. The components have been inspected by the dealership. There were no lights prior to the failure and there were no lights after the failure until the new temporary harness was installed in Slade KY prior to receiving and installing the new (same) OEM part once we returned home.
The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the brakes independently activated. The vehicle was stopped, shifted into drive, and then park. The vehicle then shifted into drive(D) another time and the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that there were no driving features activated during the failures. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

Windshield accumulated a lot of pitting in a certain area while driving within the first 27,000 miles. Noticed this after washing wind shield of bugs. One pit expanded to a 1/2 inch crack when turning into the driveway, just off the drivers side lower edge. It later expanded to the edge and and half way across the windshield.

I own a 2024 Hyundai Palisade that is subject to Recall Campaign 283 involving defective seat belt buckle assemblies. Before learning of the recall, the driver's seat belt unexpectedly unlatched while I was driving. This has happened multiple times. The seat belt appeared to be properly fastened before driving but released while the vehicle was in motion. There were no warning lights or messages before the failures. This creates a serious safety hazard because the driver is no longer properly restrained while the vehicle is moving, significantly increasing the risk of injury or death in the event of a sudden stop or crash. After receiving the recall notice, I took the vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership in February 2026. The dealership confirmed the recall but said replacement parts were unavailable and that I would be contacted when they arrived. As of August 2026, the repair still has not been completed. When I called for an update, I was told I am "far down on the list" and that it will still be a long time before parts are available. I contacted Hyundai Customer Care to explain that my vehicle has already experienced the recalled defect. Hyundai did not provide a repair timeline, expedite the repair, or offer any interim solution. Instead, they advised me to continue driving the vehicle and to pull on the seat belt after buckling it to ensure it was latched. The recalled seat belt buckle remains installed and is available for inspection. Hyundai has acknowledged this safety defect through a recall, but despite waiting more than six months, I have been unable to obtain the required repair for a defect that has already occurred multiple times while I was driving.

While driving the vehicle, the accelerator pedal was pressed but the vehicle failed to respond and did not accelerate, it simply rolled slowly as the engine continued to idle. The driver increased throttle input in an attempt to get the vehicle to accelerate. The vehicle continued to show no response to the additional throttle. After a delay, the vehicle suddenly resumed normal operation while the higher throttle input was still applied. This resulted in an abrupt and undesired surge of power. While this was occurring, another vehicle was rolling forward in preparation for a left turn. The other driver appeared confused by the Palisade’s lack of acceleration (apparently believing it was yielding) and had not yet turned into the path of the Palisade. The sudden surge of power created a near-miss situation. This incident involved a delayed response to throttle input followed by a sudden surge of power under increased throttle when the vehicle resumed normal operation. The behavior created a safety risk by causing another driver to misjudge the vehicle’s intentions and by producing unexpected lack of acceleration followed by acceleration at a critical moment. This is consistent with ongoing intermittent throttle and power-response issues that have previously been reported to the selling dealer on multiple occasions.
