Due to a recall that Hyundai has not fully resolved, I am unable to use the OEM tow hitch that I paid for when I purchased my car because there is not an updated fuse for the trailer hitch. Hence, trailers won't have lights, making them illegal and unsafe. The Hyundai dealership "resolved" the recall by removing the fuse several months ago, but never replaced it. Furthermore, the dealership never told me that I was unable to use the tow hitch. I was only told that the recall was resolved.

SERVICE BRAKES
I purchased my vehicle from South Point Hyundai in Austin, Texas on [XXX], 2022. Almost immediately after purchase, I began having trouble with the vehicle’s braking system. In essence, the vehicle seems to inappropriately activate its ABS while braking over uneven surfaces (think-parking lots, speed bumps) in dry conditions. I have dashcam videos of at least three examples of this happening (from Aug ‘22 through May ‘24). I took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs that included the braking issue on or about [XXX], 2022, but the dealer claimed they were unable to diagnose and address the braking problem. There were no dash indicators or DTCs that were available. This problem continued to exhibit itself and was a matter of concern to our family, until the braking system’s failure caused a collision with a parking garage access gate arm on [XXX] 2024. This incident has created distress, and substantially impairs my family’s willingness to use the vehicle due to a now established safety hazard. We do not wish to put others in danger for a mechanical failure that we were told was non-existent when we tried to get it fixed in December of 2022. We have also been put in a tough situation because we do not have access to an additional vehicle for use while the problem is diagnosed at the dealer. The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Palisade The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V106000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
My 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy which I bought in July 2023 failed to start in May 2024 inside my house garage. It had an error message of "Check ESC" where ESC stands for electronic stability control. After trying a couple of more times to start it, it completely died. Had it tow to the dealer and after a few days in the dealer, they told me it was a dead battery. The car went from no warnings at all to completely being dead inside my garage. No explanation of why the battery did not warn of any issues or why a "check ESC" warning code was displayed instead of displaying a "low battery" code. A search in the internet shows an unbelievable amount of accounts of these Hyundai Palisades suddenly causing the car to die and an "check ESC" code showing immediately after the car dies down. There has to be issues with these cars bacause this issue seems to be happening very often.

Hitting any bump/railroad track at even very slow speeds causes the breaks to not engage fully which has almost caused a crash on three different occasions. After researching this issue, it seems there was a similar issue that occurred with the 2023 Palisade.

SEAT BELTS
The passenger side seat belt in the 2nd row repeatedly becomes unbuckled once driving. This has happened with adults and children sitting the the seat and has happened over an extended period of time. This is a major safety issue if it were to unlock during an accident.

I was driving down a road with 50mph speed limit when a few of my dash lights began to come on and then go off. Then about 2minutes later, all the dash lights came on, my display screen went black, my power steering wheel froze up. I safely pulled over to a parking lot. Turned the car off. And it wouldn't start back up. I took it to the Jim Click Hyundai in Tucson to get it diagnosed. The alternator was diagnosed as faulty, therefore killing my battery. This is an extremely unsafe circumstance for my 2 year old car to be going through. I cannot believe that this happend. I had to pay for a new battery at the dealership. Now not even 2 months later... my car wouldn't start. I waited 10minutes, it turned on, but it looked like it did a factory reset. I will be contacting the dealership...again. But this must be looked into further. I can't believe a 2 year old car would be having these types of problems.

HI, OUR 2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE 3RD ROW middle SEAT BELT pops open while driving. I have read online this is a very popular issue. Happy Hyundai Oak Lawn Dealer said its 550.00 dollars to fix it and not covered under warrantly. Is there anything that can be done.

STEERING
Steering locked up while 5 items came across dashboard triggering the red triangle with exclamation! In it. Stopped car shut off for a couple minutes and it seemed to reset but in the last 10 miles driving has happened 5 times 4 driving and 1 on start up and could not get out of parking spot. Each time shut car off and able to reset.Have an appointment on May 28 with dealer. Forum info says corporate has found this this to be loose ground wire. Repair requires removing dashboard. Giving dealership a shot to straighten out. If is there a repeat will be initiating a claim under Lemon Law.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Car door locks will begin clicking randomly on all doors when either approaching the car with the key fob or when driving. Clicking will continue for a good minute before a Child Safety Lock failure message appears on the dash. Message only stays up for two seconds before going away. Searching forums, this seems to be a common issue and should be a recall. Dealership hasn’t been able to help but forums say the issue can be recreated by quickly cycling the child door safety lock switch.

SEAT BELTS
2nd row passenger seat belt, releases randomly, and or takes multiple attempts to get it to connect and hold. The seat belt is available for inspection. Children / Passenger safety at risk if belt detaches in an accident Issue has been reported to dealer multiple times, dealer fails to act. They have not replicated the issue because they will not schedule an appointment to address it and have ignored the request during standard oil change appointments. Component has not been expected by others There were nowaring lamps or messages when incident occurs

My brakes stop working anytime I drive over lose gravel and brake or over speed bumps. It will vibrate. And skid. I have taken it in 5 times and they said it’s normal I owned 5 cars and none of them are like this.

We have had the car towed twice to and from the dealer to fix the problem and they are telling us the parts are on back order and they cant fix the car but they put in in the system that it has been fixed. This is Colorado Spring time the weather can do anything here this time of year the car is not safe to drive but the dealer told my wife they will not give her a loaner car so she is being forest to drive a unsafe car.
