Since new, my car's passenger side windshield fluid does not adequately clean (dirt, bugs) on its side of the windshield, even when parked, obstructing my view to the road. It’s a Honda design issue that is a safety issue. Honda dealer said it's working as designed. Car currently only has 5,000 miles.

This happened to my Hybrid 2020 CRV" * accelerated to merge onto a busy interstate and immediately after the flashing check engine light came on and the front of the car felt like it was shaking. I was able to maintain speed (around 50 mph) but the car would shake and not go any faster. Drove 10 miles home since I did not want to be stranded. The problem has not come back.

Steering wheel sticks when turning causing over correction and safety issues. Other years have a recall-2018 does not. First reported in 2025 at 70,000 miles which is not a reasonable amount of time for a major part like that to break or malfunction

My 2026 Honda CR-V has a major design vulnerability. I purchased this vehicle on 8/22/2026. On 10/1/2026 my vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot where I work. In a matter of seconds, without any special tools, a thief pried the front logo off the vehicle and stole the radar sensor/module which directly disables Honda sensing safety systems (including collision mitigation braking and adaptive cruise control) which causes cascading dashboard error lights (generating systematic driver distractions). The front logo lacks mechanical lockouts allowing thieves to leverage it off with a simple flathead screwdriver in under 30 seconds. After paying $38,000 for the vehicle, I now have to pay to replace the sensor/module. I received a quote from the local dealership for $1,892.66 (parts/labor), and there are no assurances that it won't be vandalized again. I filed a police report and a claim with my car insurance company. I also filed a complaint with American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Honda needs to initiate a design recall so this issue can be rectified. The sooner the better.

- #11768495October 2, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The core failure is a systemic electrical fault stemming from a deformed, defectively installed positive battery terminal assembly (containing visible metallic debris), and an unresolved clicking electrical noise behind the dashboard. The vehicle is available for inspection. A deformed positive terminal on a hybrid vehicle creates severe electrical resistance, risking arcing, engine compartment fire, or sudden power loss in traffic. The continuous dashboard clicking—persisting even with the engine off—indicates an active short. Because the dealership allowed this compromised connection to operate for thousands of miles, the prolonged electrical stress risks hidden, cascading degradation of downstream safety control modules. Yes, but dealerships actively suppressed the records. A XXX repair order verified the dashboard noise, but said it was AC pressure equalizing. (That does not sound like a clicking/ticking/turn signal noise from behind the drivers side air vent next to the door.) On XXX, Serra Honda O'Fallon inspected the deformed battery clamp. However, management explicitly refused to open a repair order. I possess written correspondence from management admitting to this "visual inspection," but intentionally evaded documenting the service visit. When I asked about the metal shavings, I was ignored. Inspected only by local Honda dealership personnel. Honda Corporate refuses to acknowledge anything I have told them so far. No warning lamps illuminated, but symptoms of systemic electrical instability appeared early. By June 2026, the vehicle developed the continuous electrical dashboard clicking. This symptom of unstable power cascading through the system was documented well before I discovered the physical deformity at the battery terminal. Note: These curated videos isolate the noise. Please use headphones or turn your device volume up. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

driving from [XXX] to [XXX]. On adaptive cruise control with lane departure active. In [XXX], on the interstate, with the interstate curving to the left. Left curve illustrated on dash in cluster. Approaching a vehicle in the right lane while on cruise, it was going slower than my set speed. This vehicle was slowing for an exit on a ramp that was straight away aligned with the right lane, curve starting just after this ramp. This vehicle was braking for the ramp. Our vehicle chimed alerting to the approaching slower vehicle. We were whatever Honda specifies for a correct following distance, at least 8 car lengths if not further. Our vehicle rapidly slowed even though this forward vehicle was on the exit ramp. Then it rapidly decelerated to around 40 mph from the 70 we had been at. We had no vehicle in front of us in the Interstate through lane. If we had had a vehicle following us at the normal "too close distance" we could have easily been tail ended. There was zero reason for the vehicle to brake for the exiting vehicle. The adaptive cruise apparently was fixated on the forward vehicle, and did not incorporate the lane keeping data that showed the road turning. This rapid braking surprised us, and I had to override the vehicle stepping on the accelerator to regain speed. I have no idea how slow it would have gone. The lane change software also consistently have problems with decel lane marking, pulling the vehicle to the right when these happen pushing us out of lane position. It also registers black tar coating on straight seams as lane markers, either moving the vehicle or shaking the wheel to alert us of an issue - - which does not exist. There also does not appear to be an effective interface between the "hands on steering wheel" sensor and existing road conditions that consistently result in shakes or alerts for events fully under the drivers control. More if anyone is interested, out of characters. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA)

The warning lights on the dash all lit up, and upon inspection of the vehicle, gave error code P0172. We took it to the Honda dealership near up, who confirmed that the vehicle needed the fuel injectors replaced. If we did not fix it immediately, our catalytic converter was at risk of also being damaged, along with other parts of the vehicle. We had it fixed, but on our own research, have seen that this is a very common failure in the 2018 Honda CR-V line vehicles.

I was on the interstate, in an unfamiliar area, in heavy traffic and in construction area. Suddenly, the GPS screen just went blank and it was at a point where the next step in the directions was coming up. Being in heavy traffic, with construction, at a high rate of speed, in an area where I was unfamiliar and having the system drop like that is the safety concern when you’re trying to make driving decisions.. Thankfully I was able to pull over in an area that was safe enough to stop.

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the transmission housing of my 2015 Honda CR-V. The transmission housing has been diagnosed as porous, allowing transmission fluid to leak through the housing itself. This is not ordinary maintenance or normal wear; the transmission casing is allowing fluid to escape because of an apparent defect in the housing material. The vehicle has approximately 115,158 miles. The condition was diagnosed by a Honda dealership, JL Freed & Sons, and I was advised that the transmission housing is porous and that the transmission requires significant repair/replacement at an estimated cost of approximately $5,900. I believe this condition presents a potential safety hazard because a continuing transmission-fluid leak can result in loss of a critical vehicle fluid while the vehicle is being operated. If the leak worsens or results in a substantial loss of transmission fluid, it could affect transmission operation, potentially causing unexpected loss of power or the vehicle to become unable to move as intended. Leaked fluid may also reach the roadway and create a hazard for the vehicle and other motorists. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the porous transmission housing constitutes a safety-related defect affecting 2015 Honda CR-V vehicles and whether other owners may be experiencing the same condition. I can provide the dealership diagnosis, repair estimate, photographs of the affected transmission housing/leak, invoices, and other documentation upon request.

I brought my car into a dealership on 09/25/26 due to recall (system update), no maintenance light is on nor any alerts--was told to replace front tires and to have 90k maintenance done. After the software update-- 3 days later, my dashboard lights all lighted up (Christmas tree). Brought the car back on 09/30/26 because I figured technician failed to calibrate after updating the system software but then I was told i needed to replace the fuel injection parts. The car handbook says to use regular unleaded gasoline 87 or higher. I've been using 87 gasoline and now i'm told that my fuel injections are failing and need replacement. Cost for parts and labor is almost $3000. The service technician advised me to not use 87 because of debris and dirt it contains which cause the fuel injections to fail. This is misleading because i'm following what the car handbook says but then it leads to failure of fuel injection which i am responsible for the repair cost?! Additionally, my MPG is averaging 22 MPG when it's advertised as 25 to 28 MPG for city and 31 to 34 MPG for Highway. I use this car mostly on Highway and Freeway, yet my average is lower than the city. I noticed my fuel range mileage goes down very fast (did not even drive 1 mile yet, but range decreased by 2 to 3 miles). The MPG issue has been happening for the past 5 years. Especially noticeable when my fuel range is below 100 miles.

I am reporting a potentially serious safety concern involving the front driver's-side window of my 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid. While I was driving on a highway, shortly after leaving a stoplight, the front driver's-side window suddenly shattered. I had just come from a stoplight and was not traveling at high speed. There was no known collision or apparent object striking the window that caused it to break. Honda has already refused to assist me with the repair. I have found several NHTSA owner complaints involving spontaneous shattering or exploding of side/rear window glass on this generation of Honda CR-V, including: • NHTSA complaint 11493390 — 2022 Honda CR-V: the passenger window reportedly suddenly imploded while the vehicle was being driven, with no apparent object striking it. • NHTSA complaint 11581530 — 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid: the passenger rear window reportedly exploded while the vehicle was being driven on a highway, with no apparent impact reported. • NHTSA complaint 11571038 — 2021 Honda CR-V: the driver's-side rear window reportedly spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was parked, with no apparent impact or visible damage explaining the breakage. • NHTSA complaint 11749917 — 2021 Honda CR-V: the rear window reportedly suddenly exploded while the vehicle was being backed out of a driveway, with the owner reporting that nothing struck it. I understand that individual consumer complaints do not by themselves establish a manufacturing defect. However, these reports, together with my own incident involving a 2022 CR-V Hybrid, raise a legitimate safety concern that warrants investigation. I am asking NHTSA to review my complaint together with these existing complaints and determine whether further investigation or action is warranted. I am also asking American Honda to document my incident as a potential safety-related glass failure and reconsider its refusal to assist with the repair. 9/18/26 During driving at city road speeds (25-40 mph) vehicle unexpectedly stalls. Vehicle does restart. Light on dash was illuminated. Code p0685 on OBD reader. Code cleared to attempt to obtain solid evidence of issue. Light again appeared 6 days later when accelerating up hill at 20mph. Taken to dealership where they confirmed same code. Vehicle repaired at dealership on 9/28/26 - Repair required new battery and complete power train control module as well as power train relay fuse to be replaced. Vehicle still has slight hesitation uphill.

The timing chain and camshaft broke the car froze while driving 70 mh. No warning. With about 67000 mi on it. Yes it can be inspected. At risk on the freeway going 70 mph. Was able to coast to the right side before engine locked the wheels. Not able to restart. Towed to an independent garage. They gave a diagnostic test and then opened it up to find timing chain broke and caused camshaft as well as other damages. No warning! Taking it to Moses Lake Honda dealership tomorrow for another evaluation and replace the engine if needed. Low mileage and well maintained! Should have never happened.

Unknown. Please read! I believe my vehicle may have a fuel-pump failure. I purchased/financed my 2018 Honda CR-V Touring in April 2026 at approximately 169,000 miles. On July 9, 2026, in Garland, Texas, my vehicle began experiencing serious starting and driving issues. Multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard, and the vehicle had difficulty starting. The engine would crank for an extended period before eventually starting. Once started, the vehicle would not accelerate normally. The accelerator pedal felt unusually resistant, and the vehicle would have difficulty gaining speed. I had to pull over to the side of the road and restart the vehicle multiple times in order to continue driving. This occurred while I was driving in traffic, including on Highway 635, creating a significant safety concern for me and other motorists because I was unable to reliably accelerate when needed. These problems continued intermittently through approximately mid-August 2026. I did not have the vehicle professionally inspected during that period because the warning lights and symptoms appeared to reset on their own, and the vehicle temporarily returned to normal operation. On September 30, 2026, the problem returned and is now significantly worse. The vehicle will not start at all. It cranks when I attempt to start it, but the engine does not start. The warning lights have also returned. I am currently only at 174,000 miles. I have checked the battery, fuses, and other components and have not identified an issue that would explain the no-start condition. I also previously noticed that I could not hear the normal fuel-pump priming sound when attempting to start the vehicle. I am concerned that the vehicle may have a fuel-pump or fuel-delivery defect. I am submitting this complaint.

I own a 2011 Honda CR-V that previously received the remedy for NHTSA Recall #23V-228 regarding rear frame and trailing arm corrosion. Although the support brace was installed, the vehicle’s structural integrity is actively failing due to ongoing rust. This safety recall affects over 560,000 vehicles, yet many are still bought and sold daily with severe frame rot. I was sold one of these unsafe vehicles, and the trailing arm is now on the verge of breaking away completely. I have contacted American Honda Motor Co., but they have refused to offer further assistance, claiming that performing the initial recall brace satisfies their legal obligation. I can provide pictures when requested.

I am filing this complaint regarding a dispute with Honda concerning reimbursement for a repair that I believe was related to a Honda safety recall involving my vehicle. I own a 2018 Honda CRV-EXL. My vehicle experienced a problem involving the recalled component. I brought the vehicle to Honda, but the issue was not resolved through Honda, and I ultimately had to have the vehicle repaired at another repair facility. I paid approximately $4,700 out of pocket for the repair. I then contacted Honda and requested reimbursement because I believed the repair was related to the recall. Honda eventually sent me a reimbursement of only $250. I have repeatedly attempted to understand why Honda would reimburse only $250 when I paid approximately $4,700 for the repair. However, Honda has not provided me with an exact, detailed explanation showing how they calculated the $250 reimbursement or why the remaining approximately $4,450 was denied. I have asked Honda for an itemized explanation and the specific reason portions of my repair were considered ineligible. Honda has not provided me with a satisfactory explanation or documentation showing how the $250 amount was determined. I believe this matter deserves further review because I incurred a substantial out-of-pocket expense for a repair that I believe was connected to a recalled component, yet Honda has only reimbursed a small portion of the amount I paid.
