SummarySome 2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit incomplete user authorization, no authorization pop-up on the SYNC infotainment system, vehicle connectivity concerns, vehicle location disabled message and/or various FordPass/LincolnWay App command/control concerns. To correct these conditions, ensure that customer connectivity settings (CCS) are turned on in the SYNC system. If the concerns persist after CCS is turned on, turn CCS OFF, perform an ignition cycle, and turn CCS settings back on. After any CCS changes, force-close and relaunch the FordPass/ LincolnWay app on the customers phone. Once CCS is turned on, program the TCU to the latest IDS/FDRS version level. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229.

SummarySome 2017-2020 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit inoperative remote features via Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app , incomplete user authorization and/or no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed. To correct this condition prior to programming, remove the TCU fuse for 5 minutes then reinstall. Delete all previous session files for the vehicle. Verify that the electronic serial number (ESN) is now displayed. Start a new IDS/FDRS session. Program the TCU to the latest IDS/FDRS version level. Make sure you are connected to the internet before retesting. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual(WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a no crank concern with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) due to low fuel level or low fuel pressure. The most common diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) associated with a low fuel pressure concern are P0087 and P008A. Prior to performing Powertrain Controls and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Section diagnostics for a no crank concern, verify the vehicle is not out of fuel or has a low fuel pressure concern. The no crank symptom after a low fuel pressure event is new for the 2020 model year.

SummarySome 2017-2020 F-Super-Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit hard start, lack of power or runs rough concern with malfunction indicator light (MIL) and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0087 and/or P008A. This may be due to low fuel level or fuel gelling in cold ambient temperatures. If no root cause is determined after normal PCED diagnostic test MA recommend that customer use a different brand of fuel and Motorcraft PM-23-A Diesel Fuel Anti-Gel and Performance Improver. Inform the customer that Bio Diesel blended fuels have a higher occurrence of fuel gelling. Fuel gelling and or low fuel conditions causing a P0087 and/or P008A is not covered under warranty.

SummarySome 2015-2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L Diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P24A0 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition does not create drivability concerns and has no effect on vehicle operation or long-term durability. If the pinpoint test RC leads to an inconclusive direction, clear the DTCs with the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool and schedule a follow-up appointment for service in early November. Inform the customer that engineering is working to implement a solution for this condition and advise the customer that they can continue to drive the vehicle. Once the solution becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2011-2020 F-Super Duty, 2015-2019 Transit, 2016-2021 F-650/F-750 and 2018-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L, 3.2L or 3.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P207F, P20EE, P229F, P2201 and/or P24AE. This may be a result of using aftermarket cleaning liquids or tools for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler or intake. Ford does not recommend the cleaning of diesel intakes or EGR coolers using any aftermarket tool that injects a cleaning foam or liquid substance into the EGR cooler or intake. Using these types of fluids can result in sodium poisoning of the NOx and particulate matter (PM) sensors resulting in degraded operation and permanent damage to the after treatment system. Use of these cleaning tools may void the emissions warranty of the hot end after treatment exhaust system and the attached emissions sensors.

SummarySome 2015-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an oil leak from the oil filter, crankcase vent oil separator, oil cooler, upper/lower oil pan. This may be due to a clogged crankcase vent oil separator and/or a sealing concern. Do not remove/replace the engine front cover for upper oil pan leaks. Do not check for warpage on the upper oil pan. When the upper oil pan is not bolted to the vehicle, it has a natural tendency to twist slightly due to the manufacturing process for the pan and will not result in an oil leak. The Workshop Manual (Section 303-00 > Diagnosis and Testing > Engine > Engine Oil Leaks) provides information on the usage of fluorescent oil dye to locate the source of an oil leak. Refer to GSB Oil Leaks Weeps And Seeps for more oil leak diagnosis. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2018-2019 Explorer/Expedition/F-150/F-Super Duty/Taurus vehicles equipped with a forward collision warning head up display (HUD) may exhibit various warning indicators caused by a possible intermittent lack of HS2-CAN (HS-CAN for Taurus) network communication. If the concern cannot be duplicated, place the vehicle in direct sunlight for 15 to 30 minutes to increase the temperature of the HUD and retest. If the concern is present, disconnect the HUD and check for proper network communication. If proper network communication is achieved, then HUD module replacement is likely needed. If disconnecting the HUD does not re-establish communication, the HUD is not at fault, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 418-00 for diagnostics.

SummarySome 2015-2019 F-150, 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of heat or cooling from the cabin vents when the climate settings are adjusted between hot and cold. This may be due to a stuck/binding temperature door within the climate control housing or binding/inoperative temperature door actuator. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1081:07 may be present in the front controls interface module (FCIM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to remove the climate control housing and replace the temperature door actuator(s) and/or lubricate the temperature blend door bearing surface.

SummaryThese SKUs are Trailer Brake Control Modules. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory due to an internal software issue. The internal software issue leads to a false check trailer brake message and Trailer Brake Controller fault whenever the brake pedal is pressed. This will cause the part to be replaced, due to repetitive dashboard warning light, even though it sends signals to the trailer brakes properly.
