Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with autowipers may exhibit an inoperative rain-sensing wipers feature, even when the feature is turned on in the Vehicle Settings menu. This may be due to the software level of the steering column control module (SCCM). To correct this condition, reprogram the SCCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) located under the SW Updates tab. For claiming, use causal part 3F791 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Summary
Some 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles equipped with front park aid (minor feature code HNLAB) may exhibit an inoperative front park aid feature with a Front Parking Sensors Not Available Sensors Blocked See Manual message in the IPC without any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) associated with the condition. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This may be due to the software level of the image processing module A (IPMA). This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is working on a solution that is expected in Q1 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments once the repair becomes available.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 400 watt direct current/alternating current (DC/AC) inverter system with a pickup bed alternating current (AC) power outlet socket may experience the DC/AC inverter system inoperative with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1330:9A stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to a connection issue at C4628. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect the connector and secure the harness.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC U023A:08 after reprogramming the SCCM. Do not replace or reprogram the SCCM, image processing module A (IPMA) or their components for this condition at this time. This DTC does not alert the customer, will not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will reprogram the IPMA and is expected in late December 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with one-touch up/down front windows may exhibit a window not responding to one-touch controls, does not open all the way and/or bounces back when using the one-touch close function. These may be due to a calibration parameter in the driver door module (DDM) and/or passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool then perform the Power Door Window Initialization procedure for both the DDM and the PDM. For claiming, use causal part number 14B291 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual.

Summary
Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial (feet and miles) units and not being able to change to metric (meters and kilometers) units. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM to the latest software level via a coordinated flash. NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.

This article supercedes TSB 22-2388 to update the Service Procedure and vehicle model years affected. Some 2021-2023 F-150 Raptor vehicles may experience a rattle noise from the exhaust at the exhaust tailpipe actuators. This may be due to the exhaust tailpipe actuator valves rattling inside the muffler assembly. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) and install new exhaust tailpipe actuator and/or valve springs on the exhaust tailpipe actuator valves.

Some 2023 F-150 non-hybrid/non-Lightning vehicles built on or after 01-Mar-2023 may exhibit an illuminated battery malfunction indicator and/or illuminated ABS malfunction indicator which may be accompanied by a Check Brake System message and/or 12V battery state of charge low message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3003:16 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to the state of charge of the battery. The Workshop Manual (WSM) has recently been updated with improved diagnostics for this condition. Some 2021-2023 F-150 hybrid vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine built on or before 01-Mar-2023 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTCs P237C, P2C22 and/or P2C23 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the exhaust heat exchanger bypass control valve. To correct this condition replace the muffler inlet pipe.
