The Heritage edition of the Bronco Sport has a piece white trim on the dashboard that causes a very distracting reflection on the windshield directly in the driver's line of sight. I feel there should be a recall for this piece of trim — replacing it with the regular dark strip used on the other Bronco Sport editions. Thank you for your consideration!

Within a few years of purchasing my Bronco Sport, I had a grinding noise when going in reverse. Took it to dealership and they said there was no fix for it. 2 years later, I had a grinding, chatter noise again in back area of car. Dealership said a TSB had been issued and a fluid replacement and vent hose replacement was performed. A year or so later, the same issue began- chatter, grinding noise. Unable to go in reverse. Transmission failure. $7000 dollars later, my car is still not driving well. It has been back to the mechanic and each time they do a software update but problem returns.

I have attached a letter that I mailed to Ford Consumer Affairs detailing the issues with this vehicle and asking them to repair the transmission. I received a response letter from them yesterday denying my claim. I am seeking advice on how I can proceed with Ford, if at all, to try to get them to fix this issue that was clearly caused by multiple recalls. I am not the only consumer reporting the exact same problem with this vehicle. Thank You, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

- #11662345May 21, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The brakes make a loud and terrible squeeking noise (moan noise) when driving the vehicle in reverse and braking. There is something terribly wrong and may initiate a problem at a later date when driving forward. Ford is aware of the problem and issued TSB22-2326 in August 2022, revised to 23-2041 in February 2023, revised to 23-2308 in October 2023 and revised again to 25-2143 in April 2025. THEY HAVE SUCCESSFULLY DELAYED THE RECALL FOR THREE YEARS NOW THAT ALL 2021 BRONCO SPORTS ARE OUT OF WARRANTY. This is rediculous and dangerous.

What is the problem? Battery failure after receiving recall 25V019 notice. I was informed in February 2024 that my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport was affected by a battery recall, but that the remedy was not yet available. The battery subsequently failed in April, requiring a paid replacement out of pocket ($313.99). I have attempted to get reimbursement from both the Ford dealership and Ford corporate. Each party continues to deny responsibility and refers me back to the other. Why is this a safety concern? Battery failure left me stranded, requiring a tow. Had I been driving under different conditions (e.g., rural roads or at night), this could have created serious safety risks. The lack of resolution from Ford raises concern about their accountability regarding known defects. What action do you want NHTSA to take? I would like NHTSA to investigate Ford’s failure to reimburse for a known recall issue and hold them accountable for not honoring the recall protection as outlined in federal safety standards.

Since the BRAND NEW PURCHASE after ordering our 2022 Bronco Sport, as you REVERSE, BACK UP, it makes a LOUD METAL to METAL rubbing noise to be heard 50 to 100 YARDS away. Anytime especially mornings & mid-day it is so LOUD. Ford dealers are tired of me coming in complaining about the NOISE as they tell me FORD IS AWARE! FORD IS AWARE! They tell me Please stop asking about this 3 YEAR OLD problem as of August 2022 FORD is AWARE and knows about it but every time I look into this LOUD NOISE PROBLEM I am getting a run around! This sound is starting to worry us as it's NOT BRAKES as FORD DEALERSHIPS has checked our BRONCO SPORT Brakes and tell us YES IT'S LOUD but we don't know what the 2022 BRONCO SPORT issue is. ARE WE SAFE? Three years now we have dealt with this issue. Wiekert Ford in Lake Wales Florida and AutoNation Ford in St. Petersburg Florida both tell us we don't know. Wiekert Ford keeps saying we are Not aware of this PROBLEM & AutoNation Ford just SHOWS me the FORD DISCLAIMER that FORD is aware of BUT NOTHING is being done about this LOUD noise? Please help me out, NHTSA are we safe? Is FORD doing anything about these 2022 BRONCO SPORT vehicles? Please advise! Thank you

Drivers side: the track the power seat slides back/forth in. Since purchasing the vehicle 4/18/25 I have cut the back of my right leg getting into the vehicle on that track multiple times requiring the bleeding to be stopped and bandaging. At least 5 times to date and I've had the vehicle about a month. I try to be extremely careful getting into the vehicle because I know that piece will cut my leg every time but sometimes, I'm not thinking and inevitably I get cut again but I really shouldn't have to worry about that, it's obviously a design flaw. I also thought I could try to remember to put the seat all the way up when I get out but then it's a pain to get back in and again, I don't think I should have to worry about that either. There should be some sort of cap or something on the end of it do that won't happen. Have included a picture below. Called the Ford part department and they suggested covering that area with tape which WILL work BUT really, it's a new vehicle and covering a part of the vehicle with tape to keep from getting cut by it shouldn't be how to solve the problem. It ruins the aesthetics of the vehicle, and I shouldn't have to do that to begin with. The piece shouldn't be that sharp or should have some time of protective covering over it.

I was driving down the highway, and my moonroof exploded. I thought something had exploded or someone had shot at me. No other cars were around me that could have caused something to pop up and hit the roof. I did take it to the dealership service where photos were taken and submitted for a possible claim on the warranty. I only have about 2000 miles on the vehicle. My first payment isn't even due yet. Ford warranty declined the claim. It looked like it exploded upwards leading me to think this was an installation or material issue. Glass that exploded out flew off the roof of the vehicle scratching it as it dragged along. This could have hit another driver if one had been following behind me. I am currently awaiting a callback from the insurance adjuster.

The entire Advanced Drive Assistants Systems only works when it feels like it. Thankfully I haven't had any accidents yet..., but I have come very close to it three times. Especially when the lane system went down, it almost sent me into the car next to me.

While parking in a parking lot of a local store I pulled into a spot and stopped about 2 feet from a bumper post. I removed my foot from the brake pedal to pull closer to the post. The car began to idle forward. When I was as close to the post as I intended I stepped on the brake. The car continued to idle forward until I hit the post causing very minor damage to the hood of my car. After hitting the post I was stopped. I put the car in reverse and took my foot off the brake. The vehicle did not moved so i touched the gas intending to back up a foot or so. The car picked up speed. I braked, but the car continued to pick up speed. I pressed harder on the brake, feeling as though I was standing on it. The car did not stop nor slow down. While feeling as though I was standing on the brake the car sped up I would estimate to 5-7 mph. I traveled straight back across the drive lane and continued to back into the parking spot behind me and hit the bumper in that parking causing damage to my lift gate and miscellaneous electrical components and the rear bumper. I have a repair estimate for $3400.00. I reported to the store personnel, the local police, and was examined by emergency medical. It was determined there was no damage to store property and medical personnel found my blood pressure was mildly elevated and the I felt slightly disoriented, but otherwise tested normal. I can only surmise that this was a temporary software malfunction. Braking has returned to normal. I talked to a ford dealer's Rep and he did not know what could have caused it. He also advised I could have diagnostics started for $278.00. I could not afford it at that time. Please note that the police officer said i could pick up the police report, but i have not done so.
