The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact pulled over safely and was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving. While driving and making a turn, the vehicle turned off. The vehicle was restarted. The contact stated that while pulling into the driveway, the vehicle shut off unintendedly. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that the following day, the vehicle restarted. The contact stated while driving for three blocks on a three-lane street, the vehicle stalled in traffic. The vehicle restarted and the contact continued driving. The contact stated that the ABS, the braking system, security, park, and traction control failure messages were displayed and flashing. The contact called the local dealer and scheduled an appointment. The manufacturer was contacted and scheduled a tow. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

After a low-speed rear-end collision (approximately 5 mph), the frame bent, and the vehicle was declared a total loss by the insurance company. The car is no longer available for inspection as it has been taken by insurance, but documentation including photos, insurance reports, and repair estimates is available upon request. 2. Check engine light came on 5/22/25 sitting idle when I went on lunch at 1:00 pm. I left work and came home at 5:00 pm and made it home safely not sure what the failure is yet I will call the dealer in the morning. Car only has 28,000 miles on it and should not already be having engine issues. Also has dramatic drop in gas mileage.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
The contact owned a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH with cruise control mode disengaged, and approaching the red traffic light, the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle responded temporarily, and then the vehicle accelerated unintendedly. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he shifted to park(P) in the hope that the vehicle would stop, but the vehicle failed to stop and the engine revved louder, causing the vehicle to crash into two occupied vehicles in the intersection of a highway. The air bags deployed. It was unknown whether there was a warning light illuminated after the crash. The contact sustained injuries and the emergency units transported the contact to the hospital, where he underwent a CT scan. The contact was informed that he had sustained two broken ribs. The contact was hospitalized for two weeks, and the contact was admitted to a rehabilitation center for a week and a half. One of the other drivers sustained three broken ribs, but it was unknown whether the driver received medical assistance. No further information was available. The vehicle was towed and totaled. The two other vehicles were totaled. A police report was filed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

My engine suffered catastrophic engine failure with less than 14,000 miles. I was travelling at highway speeds on a busy highway in rush hour. I heard what sounded like an explosion, lost all power, and had to steer across two lanes where I just made it onto the shoulder of the highway. The car was towed to the dealer who confirmed the catastrophic engine failure. There was absolutely no warning, no warning lights, no messages at all, I was driving and heard what sounded like an explosion and lost all power.

The interior of this car includes many chrome accents. Chrome on the steering wheel, center console around the gear shift, and chrome around the touch screen. When driving, the sun reflects off of the chrome like a laser/mirror, impacting the visibility and safety of the driver. I am looking into ways to "black out" the chrome, but it truly is a safety hazard! Chevrolet should provide a "chrome delete" kit and keep chrome on the EXTERIOR, not on the INTERIOR.

I am reporting a serious safety concern with my 2024 Chevrolet Trax, purchased on [XXX]. Within three weeks, I experienced a malfunction where the infotainment screen began glitching, and the audio volume surged to maximum without warning. I was unable to control the volume or turn off the system, forcing me to pull over and restart the vehicle to stop the distraction. This issue has recurred multiple times, creating a significant distraction and making me feel unsafe while driving. The loud, uncontrollable audio and erratic screen behavior divert my attention from the road, increasing the risk of an accident. I reported the problem to the dealership in June 2024. They acknowledged the issue but stated that no fix was available as GM had not developed the necessary software update. I was advised to wait for an update. Throughout the winter of 2025, the problem worsened. Despite repeated inquiries, the dealership informed me that no solution was available. In April 2025, I returned the vehicle to the dealership, but they still could not resolve the issue. The service manager recommended I report the problem to the NHTSA and contact GM customer service. I did so on April 11, 2025, and a case was opened. However, as of today, there is still no resolution. This ongoing problem is more than an inconvenience; it poses a safety risk by creating a distracting and uncontrollable environment while driving. The contact owned a 2024 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while his girlfriend was driving through an intersection at 20 MPH, another vehicle ran a red light and crashed into the vehicle, causing a T-bone impact. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The other driver was treated for an arm injury(arm unknown) by paramedics on the scene. The next morning, the contact's girlfriend went to a doctor, where she was treated for both back and neck pain. A police report was filed, and no property damage was reported. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was deemed a total loss. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, STEERING, AIR BAGS
Was making right hand turn which causes vehicle to straddle shoulder for a brief period of time because of how lines are painted. Auto steering resisted the manual steering to get into the lane properly and pulled vehicle onto shoulder further which lead vehicle to be pulled into the ditch.
