Vehicle sent alert on phone saying battery critically low, then the vehicle started having fuel gauge issue and started lurching. Shut the vehicle down saw a P129F in the alerts. Checked battery vehicle was a no start. Luckily near a shop so it wasn't catastrophic and was able to r eplace the fuel pump control module and it instantly started. This part NEEDS to be recalled it is a safety hazard that chevy does not aknowledge

This vehicle is a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 featuring a 6.2L V8 engine and a 10 speed transmission, currently at 58,136 miles. The vehicle was experiencing a severe shudder. An official GM Technical Assistance Case (TAC) engineering case was opened on July 30, 2026 confirming a verified DFM cylinder deactivation or valve train malfunction. However, on August 21, 2026 the dealership falsified the repair log by printing ‘Concern Not Duplicated’ to the manufacturer, while physically installing an unapproved aftermarket Range Technology DFM Eliminator module into the vehicle’s engine harness to artificially override the factory emissions and cylinder deactivation programming to mask the mechanical failure. This vehicle is part of the active NHTSA Engineer Analysis EA26005, and the manufacturer’s dealer network is actively using unapproved third party hardware shortcuts to evade mandatory warranty repairs before the vehicle’s 60,000 mile factory powertrain limit expires. I called GM to report and request a warranty freeze and regional field engineer to go to a different dealership and was told they can’t freeze a warranty because the TAC was closed on August 28, 2026 as resolved even though it was not resolved.

Took it to the dealer for the L87 recall back at the end of April 2026. GM stated that my truck passed the inspection and “upgraded” my oil to the new 0w-40 oil. Now 8-27-2026, 6500miles after the inspection. Driving to work in the morning, and my engine failed. What I believe happened was a lifter got stuck and the engine shook and all lights on the dash were flashing. Vehicle is currently at the dealership and they are saying the “special” warranty does not cover this failure. Which to me is completely unacceptable. Because for 72,900 miles I never had an issue with the truck. But 6500 miles after they changed the oil to the thicker oil now I have an engine failure.

I purchased the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado with a 6.2L motor "new" from the dealer with 5700 miles on XXX. Roughly a month and 2500 miles later, my family and I were in the vehicle, 750 miles from home, returning from a vacation to [XXX] from the [XXX]/[XXX] area. It was around 8:30 in the morning and we had been on the road since the 6 o'clock hour. We were towing our our 20' fishing boat at the time. We were in the left most lane, passing a semi tractor trailer. I signaled and moved back in the 3rd lane after the pass. We were now the vehicle in front of the semi. At this moment, the engine locked up. The torque converter which had been locked at highway speed came unlocked. The transmission started aggressively downshifting looking for torque, RPMs racing upwards of 6k. We were now on an uphill, towing, with a seized engine in front of a semi. In the next lane right was a family in a newer lincoln navigator going freeway speeds. Aside from the transmission, the engine was silent, the accelerator did nothing. A message pops on the screen. "Shift into Neutral" is says... a fraction of a second later "Restart Engine" or alike. The start button was unresponsive. We're losing speed, the sem i is right on the back of the boat now, the [XXX] navigator was even in the lane with the semi. This is where split second decision making mattered. I glanced to the right most lane, empty. All I could do to get off the interstate was to yank the wheel to the right and at what felt like a 45 degree angle, rip across the three lanes to the only shoulder available. The navigator was obviously caught off guard, as they had been slowly gaining on/passing the semi at the time. The navigator locked up it's brakes, skidding out of control before regaining it. Now it's still. Engine off. Only the noise of the freeway and the navigator driver, still honking profusely and deservedly. My heart was just pounding. Breathe. You're all alive. Thank God. The engine has been using atleast 1 quart of oil every 2000 miles. This is put my maintenance cost way above the estimated maintenance cost projected by the manufacturer This oil usage is also causing premature engine wear as it's a quart low every 2000 miles. Dealer responses was this is normal for this engine. I went back and forth with the about estimated maintenance cost and ofcourse there responses was it estimated, well that's a very inaccurate estimate or willful lie. Idk just not happy about it.

The contact's husband owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated but disappeared the following day. The contact stated that approximately four days later, after refueling the vehicle, while stopped at a red light and attempting to make a right turn, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was pushed to the side of the road and towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The contact stated that DTC: P129F was retrieved. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,600.

The truck had been driving fine, no dash lights or warning messages appeared. It is available for inspection upon request. My family was at risk if this had happened on the freeway as we had been out just hours earlier. We attempted to start the engine like normal and there was a loud pop or bang and a sound like something dropped and it made loud revving sound never started up again. The initial confirmation by a certified mechanic is to be engine failure. They did not do an in depth diagnosis yet to determine if "the top valves dropped or bottom of the engine connecting rods to the crankshaft". THIS ISSUE ALL ALIGNS WITH THE CURRENT RECALL OF ENGINE FAILURE AS WELL AS THE MAKE. MODEL AND YEAR OF OUR TRUCK. But the dealership Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet says our VIN number does not qualify. Again the issue, make/model and year are all associated with the recall. We are in desperate need for our VIN to be added to the recall as it is fits all the details required.

Radio screen display, overheating, bubbling at the bottom of the screen trim underneath air conditioner show signs of overheating have been replaced before GMC and Chevrolet is aware of this matter. Initially made no notes to Tri to inform me of this hazard of the overheating of the screen and blacking out of the screen commonly referred to a ghost screen. The trim was replaced under the warranty at 10,000 miles, but Hendrick Chevrolet dealership located in [XXX] phone number [XXX] service Provider was [XXX] not able to drive because I am fear of screen, overheating, and catching on fire INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Engine failure , early on it had the dod replace. Under warranty and I’m not 100% sure but this time it failed and took out the engine. New rotating system and valves replaced Happened at just under 100k miles With all I’m seeing about these engines I figured I’d report it.

AFM causing engine tick. I am reporting a radiator failure on my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 equipped with the 6.2L V8. The vehicle developed an active coolant leak from the radiator assembly. The coolant reservoir level dropped significantly after normal driving, and coolant was visibly leaking and collecting underneath the vehicle. The truck initially began running warmer than normal, approximately 215–220°F, before the leak was fully identified. After topping the system with the correct DEX-COOL coolant, the coolant level continued to drop and an external leak became clearly visible. The vehicle was subsequently parked to avoid engine overheating or further damage. The original radiator carries GM part number 84152439. I have since been advised that the current GM replacement radiator is part number 85575815. I was also informed by GM dealership personnel that radiator failures involving this application are currently being investigated. My concern is that a sudden radiator failure can result in rapid coolant loss and overheating, potentially causing engine damage or vehicle disablement while driving. This is particularly concerning because the temperature gauge may initially remain near normal even while coolant is being lost. I am requesting that NHTSA review radiator failures on 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models, particularly vehicles equipped with the 6.2L engine and heavy-duty/enhanced cooling package, to determine whether there is a pattern of premature radiator cracking, tank/seam failure, or other coolant-loss defects that warrant a safety investigation, service campaign, or recall.
