WHEELS
Inside lip of rear wheel cracked and wheel bent beyond repair, per wheel repair company. OEM make and model tire was in place and no noticeable impact was felt to cause this failure. This caused an air leak leaving me stranded at the side of the highway. Had to buy an expensive replacement wheel.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission has a shudder issue at speeds between 60 and 80 mph. Gives the feeling of driving over rumble strips. Vehicle milage is 6200 miles. The dealership verified the issue associated with the transmission and indicated that a repair bulletin was issued by GM to correct the issue

Purchased 3 weeks ago. Third time filling up and first time in the garage. Noticed the fuel tank is leaking at the pump due to defective plastic. Car only has 55k miles, this should not be an issue. Is Chevy going to fix this or am I out the 2k repair bill?

I currently have a cracked but now welded rim that is off my 2015 Z06 Corvette. This rim is cracked due to a manufacture defect. This is now a known issue and yet to be resolved but this is definitely a safety issue when driving down the road.

POWER TRAIN
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while driving from a stop, after engaging the clutch, the vehicle started to shudder and vibrate and nearly stalled. The contact pulled over into a parking lot. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who determined that the valve spring had fractured in half within cylinder #5. Further diagnostic test determined that the failure had caused damage to the engine, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
I ran an update on my c8 corvette, left the car till it was completed. The next day I left with the car and went through the stop sign and through 2 lanes of traffic and almost down a ditch. I live in a country setting. I almost had a very serious accident. I had no brakes. The dash said service brake assist, service ASC and brake failure. Although my car only has 758 miles it has run with no issues since I took delivery of it in September 2021. This happened because of that update. On the Corvette Forum I have 2 documented experiences of 2 other 2022 C8 corvette owners with the exact same issue as me. As of this writing I'm waiting to be towed to Apple Chevrolet in Tinley Park I'll. This is a very serious problem. I will be afraid to drive my car now as I've had a terrible experience. I'm [XXX]. SERVICE BRAKES, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while driving at speeds above 25 MPH, the ABS system failed, causing the front brakes to activate without the driver depressing the brake pedal. During the failure the active handling warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the active handling control module wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. Additionally, while operating the vehicle the low beam headlights inadvertently turned off. The mechanic diagnosed that the wiring harness for the exterior lighting needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V251000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 50,000. The contact stated that he pulled the fuse box and wiring from the car. In the photos, we can see a damaged wire around a tight bend that has created tension and caused a faulty connection.

The Electronic Column Lock System (ECLS) failed. Car was recalled for this problem twice (2004 and 2006) My car was only included in 2004 recall, not the 2006 recall My car currently has 15,524 miles for an average of 675miles per year At time of 2004 recall my car had approx 2700 miles At time of 2006 recall my car had approx 4050 miles The failure of the ECLS is a prevalent problem in the 2000 Corvette I never had a problem until June 2023 I was told by Chevrolet that this could happen again I am under the understanding from my research the ECLS could fail while driving I want My car properly repaired to avoid a possible future catastrophe and to be reimbursed for towing and repairs

Shuddering occurs at speeds between 25-75 mph. GM has s TSB #18- NA-355. This bulletin accurately describes what I was experiencing. They know that there is a problem with their 8 speed automatic transmissions, but will not tell consumers about it. There should be a recall to fix all of the vehicles effected during the time of defective transmission fluid..

There is a strong gas smell when my vehicle is parked in the home garage. The smell is very strong on the rear tire area on the driver's side of the vehicle. I contacted Gunn Chevrolet and will drop the car off 8 September 2023. There are no warning lights for this issue on the vehicle. There are several bulletins on gas leaks on C7 corvettes. Purchased the vehicle with 7944 miles, currently has around 11,000. One of the tires was leaking air so had an auto repair shop look at all the tires and rims. THREE of the rims are cracked. I am not driving the vehicle for safety reasons. It is not safe to drive with a cracked rim. I did not hit any road hazards or pot holes. The rims appear to be defective and after 11,000 miles should not have damage.

Vehicle had a shake, and felt like it was shifting wrong. Apparently, Two of the four rims have were confirmed cracked which led to an unsafe vehicle for travel. The vehicle had approximately 15,230 miles on the tires and rims when air was leaking out. All four tires were shot. All four tires and all four rims had to be replaced.

I HAD 2 REAR 2019 CORVETTE GRAND SPORT OEM WHEELS CRACK, AND LEAK AIR REQUIRING EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT, I ALSO HAVE THE OTHER 2 ORIGINAL WHEELS NOW BENT. THE DEALER IN TERRYVILLE CT WAS NOTIFIED, BUT GM DENIED THE CLAIM - I STILL HAVE THESE WHEELS FOR INSPECTION DRIVING ON BENT OR CRACKED WHEELS IS A HAZARD SINCE THEY COULD FAIL AT SPEEDS - THERE IS NO WARNING OR SYMPTOMS UNTIL THE LOW AIR LIGHT COMES ON

Something is wrong where it will stall out when you start driving. Soon as I put the car in gear and start rolling forward it dies. And I’ve looked online and it’s quite common.
