UNACCEPTABLE SAFETY HAZARD: General Motors & Cadillac Need to Take Responsibility I am writing this to urge Cadillac and General Motors to address a critical safety issue before someone gets seriously hurt or dies. While driving my 2020 Cadillac XT6 over an overpass in XXX, the vehicle suffered a complete electrical breakdown. Every dash light flared up, and I instantly lost total control—NO steering assist, NO acceleration. Being stranded in a moving vehicle without control on an elevated roadway was terrifying. This car has under 50,000 miles. It is currently on its 6th service visit at Stevens Creek Cadillac and has been sitting in their shop for 3 full weeks with zero answers or progress. I trusted Cadillac again even after my 2006 SRX had to be donated under 150k miles following 2 transmission replacements and endless issues. But experiencing a sudden, total power failure at highway speeds crosses every line. I am fearful to take this vehicle back. I do not feel safe put back behind the wheel. GM and Cadillac really should not sell these vehicles until their electrical issue is safe. I opened a case with GM and they said that the buy back was denied which is insane to me. this vehicle doesn't even have 50,000 miles on it. I hope someone will help my husband and I. thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle stalled while driving on a busy road creating a very dangerous situation. Could not put it in neutral to push it out of the road; it was partially in the road for over an hour. Had to have it towed to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump control unit. Found two recalls after the incident and was told by Cadillac that my VIN was excluded. 1. Fuel Pump Assembly Recall (N202314760 / NHTSA Campaign 20V639) Fuel Pump Power Control Module Recall (N252516900) Out of pocket expense was $1173.97

at 60,740 miles, "Steering Assist is Reduced Drive with Care" message appeared. Under warranty, but dealership booked for 2 months. Error went away. After powertrain warranty expires (70,000 miles), message constantly appears, and coolant thermostat display is BLANK. Results in excess fan usage (lowering fuel consumption), reduced steering assist, aggravation, check engine light. This issue has developed while under warranty, for a practically new car. Unacceptable. An extended warranty should be in effect for model 2020 as well.
