EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Low beam headlights have gradually dimmed over time to the point that they provide minimal lighting to the roadway and often appear to oncoming drivers as only daytime running lights (they often flash their headlights at me to tell me to turn mine are, except they already are on). This is a widely occurring issue with 2013-2015 RDXs as evidenced by many numerous consumer statements publicly viewable online. This is a widespread safety issue requiring investigation and remediation from the manufacturer

The contact owns a 2015 Acura RDX. The contact stated that on several occasions while the vehicle was started, the headlamps were extremely dim, making it difficult to see the roadway while driving. The contact stated that both headlight bulbs were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

Got in my 2020 Acura RDX this morning and as I was about to start my car the windshield shattered. I contacted the dealer and they are stating that the issue with my windshield is not under warranty and I have to cover it even though it is a manufacturer defect. Acura does have a bulletin out but the dealer is stating that this issue is ended with my car warranty. I have bumper to bumper and powertrain but no coverage for glass.

Dim headlights due to projector housing malfunctions. Original headlights have burned reflective coating. Vision at night is non existent and driving safely at night is not possible. This seems to be a common problem Acura refuses to acknowledge. The vehicle supposedly was checked by caravan before I purchased it. Led headlights have not helped.

The low beam headlights are too dim to drive at night safely. They are available for inspection. My safety and the safety of others is in extreme danger when driving at night because I can’t see unless I turn on the high beams. The problem is known and recalls were issues for some models. The components have not been inspected but it’s obvious.

Suddenly back glass shattered by its own . Just in cold weather . While kid was in back seat .. no reason it happened by its own no gurantee if we replace it won’t happen again . I saw others also complaining same on Acura RDX 2019 same model

My 2015 Acura RDX headlights are so dim it is dangerous to drive at night, especially with rain on the road. This affects my ability to drive safely at all times, on any roads, at night. I've tried replacing the bulbs, but the problem is inside the headlight assembly on the reflector and the lens. In order to be safe, I must perform a complete replacement of the headlight assembly, which costs over $1000 for each side.

I’d like to report an issue with this vehicle’s app companion, AcuraLink. AcuraLink is the official app offered by Acura, which delivers features that allow an owner to control and manage their vehicle remotely. I use the app for remote smart. On 1/17 at approximately 8am, I opened the app and sent a command to start the vehicle. The command failed, and I received a failure message to indicate this. I tried three more times, each time receiving a failure message, so I gave up and manually started the car. Approximately 45 minutes later, the car was back in our attached garage, with the ignition off, and our garage door shut. I suddenly heard the car start while in the garage. I went out, shut the car off, and went back inside. Over the course of 30 minutes or so, the car started two more times, in my attached garage with the door shut. This is an extremely dangerous scenario due to the potential of carbon monoxide and dioxide exposure. If this had happened in the middle of the night, I would not have heard the car running in the garage. This may have resulted in grave consequences for my family. It was as though the app continued to send commands to the car even after failure errors were received by the operator. I reported the issue immediately to Acura and have heard nothing back. I searched for similar stories on the social media site Reddit under the Acura group, and found multiple Acura owners reporting the same issue.

AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS
The "airbag is turned off" warning light for the front passenger seat is lit (on) while an adult is sitting in the front passenger with the seat belt latched. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE.. I have reported this to the Acura dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they said since they are unable to repeat the issue they can't do anything about it. In addition, when this issue is occurring the warning light on the dash and the audible bell regarding the seat belt being unlatched while the vehicle is in motion does not come on.

AcuraLink remote start did not work to start the car this morning or after work but when my wife got home from work the car started about a half hour later by itself in our attached garage with the door closed. It did this twice this evening and once at lunchtime. We will have to keep the car outside until this issue is resolved.

Car was parked and OFF at dealer waiting for service. I received a phone call that back window shattered and that this was not covered under warranty but the dealer will cover 99% of the cost of parts and labor. This is obviously a manufacturer defect and is very dangerous. Why isn't this a recall?

After my shift at work. I got in my 2019 ACURA RDX and closed the door. Right when the door closed the rear tailgate glass shattered. Leaving a big hole in the glass on my drive home. While it kept breaking into thousands of smaller pieces while driving home. Mind you I live in Chicago and the temperature was 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Called my insurance company to file a claim. Had the rear glass replaced by Safelite after a week and half. But the tiny pieces that broke off fell inside the tailgate and now when I raise the tailgate/hit a bump/ turn the vehicle I hear the pieces of glass that fell inside the tailgate moving around. I was told there was no way to remove this.
