Headlights are incredibly dim and unsafe. I’ve now almost been in two accidents at night. My passengers always comment turn on your lights and I have to say they are already on.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
Driver side mirror is vibrating while driving- more noticeable at speeds above 35 mph. Took into the dealer for replacement. After ride with tech, tech confirmed issue. Dealer replaced driver side mirror but still shakes/vibrates while driving. Vibration causes distortion of vehicles and other surrounding items in driver side mirror. Also, vibration causes distraction to driver.

The contact owns a 2014 Acura RDX. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the headlights were extremely dim and failed to provide proper illumination while driving at night. The contact stated that the headlights were replaced several times, but the failure persisted. The dealer was made aware of the failure and the service manager stated that the headlamp housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.

POWER TRAIN
Acura rdx Acura says that the filter in the transmission is none serviceable but now my car is in a shop to replace the converter and they said the filter should be replaced which is why the torque converter went bad in the first place but they say it’s not to be serviced and now the shop would have to split the transmission to replace this filter which I can’t do being it would cost more then I paid for the car I think it’s definitely a safety issue if it locks the transmission up on the road I think something should be done about this filter issue which the shop said they put it inside the transmission for a reason so you’d have to spend money thanks

Low-beam headlights are dangerously dim, almost unusable at night. Replaced bulbs, no difference in light output. Dealer has confirmed issue. Obviously a safety issue, if the road can't be lighted, potential for crashes. No signal/notification in cab, as the headlights work.

RECALL ON MANY 201-2015 RDX BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS BECAME DANGEROUSLY DIM AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SAME THING HAPPENED TO MINE, HAD IT CHECKED BY THE DEALER TODAY WHO CONFIRMED. HOWEVER, THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON MINE BUT I ASSUME MANY OTHERS ARE AFFECTED.

While driving on a freeway for about 15 minutes at 65 MPH, the MIL indicator started blinking. The vehicle began to rapidly shake, while the engine power decreased significantly. The engine dramatically went from 65 mph to 35 mph causing a safety hazard while driving on the freeway as we attempted to exit and pull over safely. The vehicle is a 2021 Acura RDX and is driven approximately 10,000 miles per year. All maintenance has been performed in accordance with the manufacturer's schedule. It has not been involved in any collisions or other user risk other than normal driving in accordance with the approved use of the vehicles. Upon trying to restart the vehicle, the vehicle continues to violently shake while in park. Notification lights indicating Brake Failure, AWD failure, Check Emissions System, etc. There were no other indicators that there was an issue with the vehicle prior to this instance on 4/20/2024. In fact, the vehicle was viewed by Cerritos Acura for its regularly schedule service on 4/10/2024 and no issues were identified by the dealer. As far as safety, we were traveling with two young children and the location of the freeway did not have a safe place to pull over. The sudden reduction in speed also put us in risk with surrounding vehicles. This appears to be related to TSB 20-053, however, no communication have been identified or communicated by the dealers to the the owner/operator of the vehicle.

My 2015 RDX lowbeam headlight getting dimmer gradually. It is too dim to the level of undrivable at night. I replaced the light bulb, but it doesn't help. It almost cause a collison that the opponent car from side of road can not see the light.

My rear back windshield shattered while the car was parked for no reason. The Acura rep told me that the back windshields that we installed with faulty and had sent out a bulletin but I never received this bulletin. Acura is trying to not pay for the back windshield and trying my make me go through my insurance to get it fixed. This happened on 4/7/2024.

This vehicle was purchased used on [XXX]. The vehicle was test driven during the day time. The vehicle was also inspected by the dealer prior to purchase and a state inspection sticker was issued. After purchase the vehicle was driven at night, in the dark, upon which it was discovered a headlight was out. It was subsequently replaced by the dealer. However, after continued driving in the dark, at night, it was also discovered that the headlights did not provide adequate light to see whether on the highway or side streets. On dimly lit roads it appeared as if the headlights weren't even turned on. Upon further research, we learned that there is a problem with Acura RDX 2015 models in which the headlamps become dimmer over time due to the reflector malfunction and eventually emit no light and as a result cannot be driven at night. Since this is a 9 year old car, the headlamps are very dim because the reflector is failing and will either need to be replaced due to the defect or the car cannot be driven at night unless the high beams are used, which is also unsafe to other drivers. The bottom line is that driving the car at night with very dim headlights is a serious safety issue that must be addressed by Acura to ensure no one gets in an accident or is injured as the result of not being able to see properly while driving at night. The rear window keeps imploding. This has happen 2x to my 2019 Acura RDX within the last 3 months and is a COMMON issue that Acura has not owned up to and will not rectify. If this happens while driving or with children/people in the back seat it could cause severe injury or death. Also Small pieces of glass get into the gate and there's no way to get it out.

The emission light flashes and puts the vehicle in "Limp mode." The speed is drastically reduced and won't exceed 30 mph. Horrify experience. The problem seems related to rain and acceleration. Now the car is towed. No warning before it happens. But the emission light was flashing afterward.

On [XXX] my windshield wiper motor died during a rainstorm. The car gave no warning lights and I get my vehicle serviced regularly. I have had ongoing electrical issues with this car such as a faulty radio and inability to run the GPS settings. I took the car back to Princeton Acura ( In New Jersey) and was told the Windshield Wiper Motor has to be replaced at it would cost me $ 600.00. The car was also looked at by a mechanic from Jifffy Lube who said he was unable to order the windshield wiper motor due to the car being so new that after market parts are not available. I am extremely frustrated and feel this is unfair and also feel I was sold a lemon. I bought the car new in 2020 and I am the only owner. I am hoping someone can help me. Thank you. 2015 Acura RDX Headlights have dramatically dimmed over time, to the point of jeopardizing safety of self, passengers and others: it's not discernible they're on unless there's no external lighting/street lamps. Problem potentially confirmed via excess reporting online for a range of RDX years inclusive of 2015. Also seeing a relevant, potentially related headlight recall from late 2014.
