I have the Integra Aspec CVT model. It's been 8 months since I bought it, it's close to 10k miles and it was a week ago that it suddenly started to turn off completely as if it were like hard reset. It has already happened to me 7 times. Sometimes he doesn't want to turn back on quick so I have to wait couples minutes before trying to turn it on again and on the screen I get the alert to turn it on with the remote key but my car doesn't have that option. I don't get any error alert in the tachometer, only that suddenly everything is turned off, both the engine and the electrical components.

This has started after approximately 5,000 miles on the vehicle. At highway speeds the steering wheel will feel sticky and/or jump when trying to apply small inputs. For example, after a few seconds of holding the steering wheel in a straight position or in a constant long radius turn, the steering wheel is resistant to movement and increased force is required to bring the steering back to center. This results in small over-corrections leading to a slight weaving while trying to stay in a lane.

I have noticed that the steering wheel seems to "stick" or feel "notchy" when making small adjustments from center (12 o clock) position. This is most noticeable when driving on a long, straight stretch of freeway requiring minor adjustments to keep the car centered. The steering will stick when attempting to making small corrections, requiring extra force to overcome resistance. After providing more force, the steering will suddenly give way, typically causing overcorrection in the opposite direction

While driving at highway speeds (45-75 mph) the steering will begin to stick. The steering wheel requires extra force to make an adjustment. After getting past the friction point, the steering is normal but will soon gain the friction point back. On highway ramps, the steering will hold the turn without any additional pressure and fails to return to the straight position. Added force required to get it back to straight.

For the 6th time, my 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec with the 6spd manual transmission has completely shut off. While the immediate thought might be that I stalled or the auto stop/start engaged, that's not the case here. The car completely shuts off. Almost like a hard reset, the engine dies, and the electrical system shuts down. In several of the cases, some features like lights, still work. But in others, everything dies. Locks, radio, wipers, lights. It takes awhile to restart the car. This happens when I come to a complete stop and then when I put my foot on the clutch and on the gas. This has happened in warm and cold Temps (ranging from 25°F to 75°F ). In 3 of the cases, the auto stop/start (acura calls it idle stop or something) was disengaged/turned off because I was in sport mode. Plenty of gas in the tank. The car is brand new, not even 4 months old with 14000 miles. Each incident has nearly resulted in an accident.

- #11498375December 21, 2022STEERING
I was driving on December 19, 2022 and noticed difficulty steering at cruising speeds (45mph). The steering became resistant to small movements. It did not move smoothly when I turned it to make minor adjustments, it required extra force to move from a still position. Once I applied enough force to turn, it turned freely. At low speeds such as turning in a parking lot, I did not notice any problems, but upon reaching approx 40mph, I did notice the problem. This makes the vehicle more difficult to operate in an unexpected manner and makes a collision more likely, thus putting the safety of myself, my passengers, and other drivers at risk. There were no warning lamps or messages. The only related symptom was that the CarPlay navigation display was not updating regularly during this drive. Normally this system works well, but on this day it was updating my position every 30 seconds or so. When I unplugged the USB cable between my iPhone and the vehicle, the steering issue disappeared. Additional details provided here: https://www.integraforums.com/forum/threads/sticky-jerky-steering-carplay-usb-related.50610/#post-823807 The contact stated that the issues they are experiencing are similar, if not the same, as the Honda Civic and Honda Civic Si.

I AM A 78 YEAR OLD WOMAN DEALING WITH MALES AT ACURA/HONDA WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT RUN AROUND AND STALL. I HAVE HAD TWO TERRIBLE INCIDENTS OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, THE FIRST ONE AT 70 MILES AN HOUR ON A CROWDED FREEWAY, THE CAR JUMPED TO 80 MPH AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE, I TOOK OUT 200' OF SHRUBS ALONG THE FREEWAY & WAS LUCKY I COULD GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND STANDING ON THE BRAKE THE CAR FINALLY WENT TO IDLE. THE AUTO SHOP CLEANED THE THROTTLE. 3 WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN AT 50 MPH, IN BOTH CASES I WAS LUCKY TO SURVIVE. TOWED THE CAR TO F AIRFIELD HONDA, WHERE THEY HAD HONDA INSPECTORS CHECK OUT THE CAR. THEY USED THE SAME EXCUSE AS TOYOTA SEVERAL YEARS AGO, THE FLOOR MATS WERE UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE. THE CAR WAS NEVER DRIVEN WITH THE MATS UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE, IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT AT THE DEALER, IT WOULD BE HARD TO DO WITH THE STEM OF THE GAS PEDDLE GOING UP INTO CHASSIS, AND NOT DOWN INTO FLOOR. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, AND WOULD NOT TELL ME WHAT, IF ANYTHING, THEY DID TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I SPENT ONE MONTH TRYING TO GET RESULTS OR RESOLUTION. I WOULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, NOR HAVE ANYONE I KNEW DRIVE IT.

A REP AT THE IIHS SUGGESTED THAT I TAKE THIS UP WITH YOU. I HAVE FOUND IT REALLY DIFFICULT TO COPE WITH THE LED HEADLIGHTS IN ONCOMING CARS. I REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEIR USE WAS APPROVED. SURELY THE NEED TO SEE OBSTACLES MUST BE BALANCED WITH THE NEED NOT TO BLIND OTHER DRIVERS. MY CAR IS LOW SLUNG, AND MY EYES TAKE A DIRECT HIT FROM ONCOMING HEADLIGHTS OF HIGHER WHEELBASE VEHICLES, YET HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS NEVER BOTHER ME. I CAN FIELD THEM WITHOUT A FEELING OF RETINAL BURN. NOT SO LEDS. WHEN THE NEWER 'SNOB CARS' WITH THE PAIN-INDUCING LED LIGHTS COME TOWARDS ME, I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK THAT ALLOWING THEM ON THE ROAD IS A MISTAKE. IT SMACKS OF PANDERING TO MARKETEERS, OR WORSE SHEER LAZINESS AND DISTRACTION ON THE PART OF REGULATORS. I APPRECIATE THAT SOME NEWER CARS HAVE WINDSHIELDS WITH AN ANTI-GLARE LAYER IN THEM. THAT IS FINE FOR THOSE DRIVERS, BUT, WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF US ? THE REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS AREA ISN'T BEING MET. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD REQUIRE SOME SORT OF DIFFUSING COVER ON THOSE RIDICULOUS ARRAYS OF BLINDING BULBS, SO AS TO SOFTEN THEIR WEAPONIZED GLARE.ITS ONLY COMMON SENSE. RELATED TO THIS CONCERN IS MY EXPERIENCE WITH NEW WINDSHIELD WIPERS SCRATCHING MY WINDSHIELD. NEW WIPERS NEVER USED TO DO THIS.AGAIN, SOME REGULATORY PERSON DROPPED THE BALL. ITS A NO-BRAINER THAT NEW WINDSHIELD WIPERS SHOULD NOT ABRADE THE WINDSHIELD THEY ARE MEANT TO KEEP CLEAN AND CLEAR. ONE WOULD HOPE THAT GOES WITHOUT SAYING. SOMEONE IN AUTHORITY HAS TO START PAYING ATTENTION, THINKING ABOUT THEIR JOB, BEFORE THE COUNTRY GOES COMPLETELY TO HELL FOR AVOIDABLE REASONS. IF YOU AREN'T THE CORRECT BODY FOR MY INQUIRY/LAMENT, CAN YOU POINT ME TO THE RIGHT ONE ? THANKS FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION I HOPE YOU GIVE TO MY NOTE.

- #10651892November 2, 2014FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
WHEN THE WEATHER IS IN THE HIGH 80S OR 90S, MY CAR WON'T START. IT TURNS OVER OKAY; THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM/BATTERY IS FINE. AFTER ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES OR LONGER, THE CAR WILL FINALLY START BUT IS NOT NECESSARILY OKAY FOR TRIPS. AT THE FIRST STOP THE SAME PROBLEM MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR AGAIN. WHEN THE TEMP GOES DOWN IN THE FALL, THE CAR IS FINE AND RUNS BEAUTIFULLY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR ONLY BUT HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. I THINK THE ISSUE IS CAUSED BY SOMETHING IN THE FUEL INTAKE SYSTEM BUT HAVE NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE THIS. FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS OF THE YEAR I AM FORCED TO DO ALL MY SHOPPING IN THE VERY EARLY MORNING OR AT NIGHT AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM SOMETIMES THEN. *TR

I PURCHASED MY INTEGRA IN 2012 WITH 75,000 MILES AND TO THIS DAY THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT HAS COME UNDONE MULTIPLE TIME. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS I THOUGHT AT FIRST IT WAS BEING CAUSED BY A SEAT COVER BUT AFTER REMOVING THE SEAT COVER IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. *TR

- #10565031February 19, 2014TIRES, TIRES:SIDEWALL
FIVE MONTHS (3000 MI) AFTER I PURCHASED A YOKOHAMA ENVIGOR TIRE FOR MY 1999 ACURA I HAD A FLAT TIRE. UPON INSPECTION I NOTICED A 1/4 INCH RUBBER SEPARATION ON THE INSIDE WHEEL WELL. IT DID NOT GO THROUGH THE TIRE WALL AND WAS NOT A SLASH MARK AS IT WAS IRREGULAR AND JAGGED. IT ALSO DID NOT PIERCE THE INTERIOR MESH LINING . THE CAR HAD NOT HIT ANYTHING (I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER 45 YEARS). THE TIRE WENT FLAT (FORTUNATELY IT DID NOT HAPPEN THE DAY BEFORE WHILE DRIVING 65MPH ON A FREEWAY. DESPITE THE OBVIOUSLY FAULTY TIRE CONSTRUCTION I WAS TOLD IT WAS CAUSED BY A ROAD HAZARD BY A YOKOHAMA REPRESENTATIVE. WHEN I POINTED OUT THAT THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO ABRASIONS NEARBY ON THE TIRE AND THAT THE OPENING WAS IRREGULAR UNLIKE ANY METAL ROAD MATERIAL MIGHT CAUSE THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID ONLY TREAD BOTTOM IRREGULARITIES WERE CONSIDERED IMPERFECTIONS. THE DOT SHOULD MAKE MANUFACTURERS INCLUDE NON REPAIRABLE SIDEWALL DEFECTS AS IMPERFECTIONS AND HAVE AN IMPARTIAL REPRESENTATIVE ENTITY ABLE TO EXAMINE EVIDENCE IN SUCH CASES NOT JUST THE HIGHLY PARTIAL MANUFACTURERS. *TR
