Toyota Financial Services Opens New Frisco Office

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) officially opened its new "TFS North" office on July 14, marking a significant expansion of its North American operations. This seven-story, 242,000-square-foot facility in Frisco, Texas, is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 team members. The new building aims to enhance collaboration and support the company's long-term growth strategies.

New Campus Features and Capacity

Located in Frisco, Texas, this new office is the first Toyota-occupied property within the city, situated near existing TFS buildings in Plano. The 242,000-square-foot structure is notable for being one of the largest mass timber office spaces in the United States, utilizing Southern Yellow Pine timber throughout its design. The building is also pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification.

The facility includes an adjoining 800-space parking garage, providing ample parking and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Future plans for the garage include the installation of space counters to assist team members in locating available spots efficiently. Initial team member move-ins began on July 13, with the transition continuing over several weeks.

Employee-Centric Design and Amenities

TFS North prioritizes team member well-being and productivity through its thoughtful design and extensive amenities. The building offers a modern gym with locker rooms, micro markets, and furnished balconies for relaxation. A future restaurant is also planned for the site.

Beyond these features, the office incorporates subtle technologies to improve the work environment. White noise systems are in place to minimize distractions in open areas, while window shades automatically adjust with the sun's movement. Daylight harvesting systems optimize natural light and conserve energy, contributing to a comfortable and efficient workspace. The intentional use of natural wood and wide-open views aims to create an inviting and connected atmosphere.

Strategic Purpose and Team Colocation

The establishment of TFS North supports Toyota's broader growth strategies, reflecting an investment in a workplace that fosters organizational development. The new space is intended to facilitate improved teamwork, learning, and scalability across various departments.

Key teams relocating to TFS North include the Security Operations Center (SOC), led by Chief Information Security Officer Ron Banks, which will benefit from a dedicated space for monitoring and addressing security threats. Additionally, members of the ECC Customer and Dealer Service teams, Data & Technology's Information Security team, and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer will share the new facility. This colocation is expected to enhance communication and collaboration among these critical functions.
