Marcus Weber is the Senior Editor for Service Bulletins and Owner Complaints at Car and Problems. He came to the editorial team from the dealer-side, with an ASE-certified background as a service technician at marques across the German and Japanese OEM groups, and he reads manufacturer dealer notices the way an experienced technician does — with a working understanding of the diagnostic codes, the part numbers, and the labour times behind every published procedure.

On the consumer-complaints side, Marcus reviews the federal owner narratives and surfaces the patterns that turn into formal investigations — the subtle clusters of failure modes that look isolated when you read one report at a time but become unmistakable across a model year. He signs off on every TSB summary and every complaint-aggregation post the team produces.

When Marcus is not editing, he tracks the German-language technical service bulletins from the European OEM markets and translates the most consequential ones for the U.S. audience.
