Lexus has announced details for the 2027 GX SUV, confirming a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $69,085, which includes the Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee. The upcoming model year largely carries over from its predecessor, introducing minor updates across its six available grades. These updates aim to enhance convenience and comfort for drivers and passengers.

Key Updates and Pricing for 2027

For the 2027 model year, the Lexus GX introduces SmartAccess 4-door and tailgate entry as standard features across all grades. Additionally, the Luxury, Luxury+, and Overtrail+ trims will now include ventilated rear outboard seats as standard equipment, building on the previously standard heated and ventilated front seats. These 2027 Lexus GX updates focus on enhancing daily usability and passenger comfort.

The 2027 Lexus GX will be available in six distinct grades: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+. The starting MSRP of $69,085 applies to the base model, which includes the Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee.

Performance and Off-Road Capability

Powering the 2027 Lexus GX is a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which delivers 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission. The GX achieves an EPA-estimated highway fuel economy rating of 21 MPG.

The SUV maintains its robust off-road credentials, built on the GA-F ladder frame platform for increased rigidity. All GX models come standard with Full-Time 4WD and a Torsen® limited-slip locking center differential. Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades further enhance capability with an electronically controlled locking rear differential and a standard one-inch suspension lift, increasing minimum ground clearance to 9.84 inches. These Overtrail variants also feature the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS) for improved wheel articulation. The GX boasts approach, breakover, and departure angles of up to 26, 24, and 21 degrees, respectively.

Interior Refinements and Technology

Inside, the 2027 Lexus GX offers seating for up to seven passengers in Premium, Premium+, Luxury, and Luxury+ grades, with a focus on a driver-centric cockpit design. A standard 14-inch multimedia touchscreen display integrates Lexus Interface technology, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Physical controls for climate and audio volume are retained, and off-road controls are conveniently located near the gear shifter.

Comfort features include standard heated and ventilated front seats, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, and a Lexus Memory System for the driver. The newly standard ventilated rear outboard seats on select Luxury and Overtrail+ grades enhance passenger comfort. The interior also provides six illuminated charging ports (four on Overtrail grades) and an available wireless charger. For audio, a 10-speaker premium sound system is standard, with an optional 21-speaker Mark Levinson® Surround Sound system available.

The 2027 Lexus GX continues to offer a blend of luxury and off-road capability with targeted enhancements for the new model year. Prospective buyers can expect a vehicle that largely maintains its established performance and design, while benefiting from added convenience and comfort features across its trim levels. The 2027 Lexus GX updates aim to keep it competitive in the luxury SUV segment.
