SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been builtwith hydraulic suspension jounce lines that could contact the front underbody subframe panel and/or the front wheel liners. Over time the hydraulic suspension jounce lines may rub through due to this contact. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of hydraulic pressure, suspension sag, increased body roll, and/ or the vehicle may enter a reduced performance safe-state mode with limited speed. If the vehicle enters a reduced performance safe-state mode, there will be a notification displayed and a malfunction indicator lamp illuminated on the driver display. Rivian will replace the front underbody panel and the front wheel liners with updated parts that will not interfere with the front hydraulic suspension jounce lines. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2023 R1T vehicles that may have been filled with excess refrigerant. An overfilled refrigerant system may cause poor air conditioning functionality. In some cases, the HV battery cooling might also be affected, which would cause slower level 3 charging. Rivian will evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system with the proper amount of refrigerant. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that are equipped with an early revision upper tailgate trim panel. If easily-damaged cargo is placed against the tailgate while it is closed, the upper tailgate trim panel could abrade the cargo when the vehicle is in motion. Upon customer complaint, Rivian will replace the upper tailgate trim panel with an updated component that has a rubber insert designed to protect cargo.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been delivered with a tire sealant kit that is prone to leaking. A leaking tire sealant kit may stain or damage the other components inside the auxiliary air compressor kit. Additionally, the reduced volume of remaining sealant may not be sufficient to seal larger holes in a damaged tire, which the customer would determine when following the instructions in the owner's guide or on the tire sealant kit. Rivian will replace the tire sealant kit or, if the tire sealant kit is already leaking, will replace the entire auxiliary air compressor kit. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2023 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with an improperly routed cowl harness. If this harness is improperly routed, there is a potential for this harness to make contact with the windshield wiper mechanism during wiper use. If the harness contacts the windshield wiper mechanism and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a rub-through of the wires in the harness. This potential rub-through condition may result in effects ranging from no function loss (if a redundant circuit is damaged) to disabled restraint, crash detection or other performance systems/modes. If there is a function loss, a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle and/or the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect the harness and reroute, repair, or replace it if necessary to correct the condition. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a driver assistance/audio/display module that is unable to receive updated HD map information. The inability to receive updated HD map information may cause the performance of the vehicle's Highway Assist feature to degrade over time. Rivian will update the firmware of the module to enable it to receive updated HD map information. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with drive units that have fastener threads on a plug sealing surface which may result in damage to the plug o-ring and an inadequate sealing surface. This condition could allow drive unit fluid to leak from the drive unit. Fluid leaking from the drive unit may be noticeable to the customer (though any potential leak would be a very small amount that would not impact other road users). If the leaking occurs over an extended period of time, it may lead to a decreased life for the drive unit and eventual failure of the drive unit. A failure of a drive unit will result in a reduced performance safe-state mode and a corresponding indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect each drive unit on all affected vehicles and will either install a new drive unit plug with an enlarged washer to ensure proper sealing or replace the drive unit. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. Note: This document supersedes RCA-38-23-003-1. Revision 2 updates the minimum volume of drained fluid required to replace the front drive unit.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with excessive clearance space between the halfshafts and wheel hubs. In some instances, this may result in a brief noise coming from the front and/or rear of the vehicle when accelerating or decelerating that is noticeable to the customer but would not result in any changes in the performance of the vehicle. Rivian will install washers on both the front and rear halfshafts to remove the excess clearance and eliminate the noise. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. Note: This document supersedes RCA-38-23-002-1. Revision 2 reduces the labor required to access the halfshafts.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1S and R1T vehicles that may have been built with inadequate press fit force between the halfshaft splines and the wheel hubs. In some instances, this condition may result in a loss of torque of the halfshaft bolt and subsequent noise and/or separation of the bolt and wheel center cap. Without this bolt there may be additional movement of the components and/or noise but there will be no resulting changes in the performance of the vehicle. Rivian will replace the halfshaft bolts and torque them to a higher specification to improve the press fit force and bolt retention. In addition, washers will be installed on the halfshafts to reduce potential noise. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. Note: This document supersedes RCA-38-23-001-1. Revision 2 reduces the labor required to access the halfshafts.

SummaryRivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022 and 2023 R1T and R1S vehicles. In some situations, the driver may notice a slight vibration or oscillation of the steering wheel at 70 mph or above, causing a perceived quality issue. Steering function is not affected. Upon customer complaint of a vibrating steering wheel, Rivian will replace the steering wheel with a version that is less prone to vibration.

SummaryRivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022-2023 R1S and R1T vehicles that may have been built with an onboard charger that cannot charge on alternating current (AC). The part supplier shipped onboard chargers that were built with a faulty component. Though AC charging may be disabled in these vehicles, direct current (DC) fast charging is still functional. Rivian will replace the onboard charger. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
