I have dead pedal going on with my truck and when pulling out into traffic and truck does not go almost get hit by oncoming traffic and cause an accident and could end up deadly when the truck just losses the possibility to be limited to truck not being able to accelerate because it is having issues with the computer communicating with the sensor on the truck.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving 30-35 MPH, the steering wheel failed to turn to the left or the right. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Action Number: PE26002. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that there was a loss of power steering assist function, which was caused by water intruding into the power steering module connector. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a loss of power steering assist caused by water intrusion into the power steering module connector. The dealer informed the contact that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer confirmed that there was no warranty coverage for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 14,900.

My vehicle was brought to my dealership for service on December 13, 2024, and again on January 13, 2026, due to a recurring Uconnect software/application failure. The system repeatedly displayed the message: “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer.” Over time this message continuously reappears while driving even after acknowledging the message earlier. This message would overlay critical driving information such as navigation, engine status, and trailer towing data. This message forces the driver to divert my attention from the road to locate and press “OK” on the screen, creating an ongoing and unacceptable safety hazard. I believe this distraction qualifies as a valid safety issue, under the NATSA guidelines for

SERVICE BRAKES
ABS system HCU leaking internally Vehicles stopping ability may be impaired Vehicle brake pedal slowly sinks to floor. Ram dealership diagnosed a failed master cylinder internal seal and replaced the master cylinder with 25,272 miles on the vehicle on 3/17/26. Returned to dealership with same issue on 8/3/26 with 28,488 miles on vehicle. Ram dealership diagnoses the hydraulic control unit (HCU) is leaking internally on the ABS system. No warning lamps or other messages. First reported soft brake issue on 2/11/26.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the steering wheel jerked to the right and the traction control warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the electronic stability control, Forward Collision Avoidance, check engine, and power steering warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was water intrusion in the rack and pinion, causing corrosion of the electronic power steering system and several other unknown components that needed to be replaced. The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle intermittently went into LIMP Mode and failed to accelerate as needed. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. The failure failed to be self-corrected after the vehicle was restarted. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialist, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was informed that the failure was electrical, and an unknown sensor was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who discovered a leak in the transmission pump. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and directed the contact to the dealer to have the transmission replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

While driving the rear tail gate drops. This has happened on several different occasions. Once it dropped while towing a trailer and I damaged the tailgate on the trailer tongue jack. There is no indicator in the cab of the truck to inform you that the tailgate has dropped, unlike the door indicators. I am positive that the tailgate was up and latched, so it’s not an instance where the tailgate is not fully closed. This could lead to other vehicles or motorcycle riders hitting objects that may fall out of the open tailgate, causing damage or injuries.

SERVICE BRAKES
Vehicle would not start. I put a new battery in, the vehicle still would not start, and the break pedal was stiff. Had someone jump the vehicle, i started it and drove to the dealership service department where I originally bought the vehicle. They said it may be the starter. but they hadn't looked at the vehicle. I told them I would drive to a different shop because it's cheaper. When I tried to put it in drive the vehicle would not move it was giving an error message on the dash. I had to leave the truck there. 2 days later they called me and told me the issue was caused by a recalled part and they fixed the issue. When I arrived they told me I would have to pay $215 diagnostic fee. I told them it's federally prohibited to charge for a recalled part. I had to argue with them to get my vehicle back. They told me next time I should tow the vehicle if I dont want to pay a diagnostic fee. I attached proof of the recall service and the $215 fee listed that they tried to charge me.

The vehicle has experienced repeated failures related to the diesel emissions system despite multiple repair attempts. The primary symptom is an illuminated check engine light accompanied by diagnostic trouble code P2459 (Diesel Particulate Filter Regeneration Frequency). The vehicle frequently enters regeneration cycles and continues to exhibit the same symptoms after major emissions system repairs. The emissions system components, including the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and related DEF system components, were previously replaced by an authorized dealer. Following those repairs, the same warning light and fault code returned. The vehicle was subsequently inspected by another authorized dealer, which was unable to identify a definitive cause of the recurring condition. The check engine light was cleared, but it returned less than a week later with the same symptoms. The failure creates a safety concern because the vehicle may enter reduced-power or limp-home operating modes without warning, potentially limiting acceleration and the ability to maintain traffic speed. This is especially concerning when merging onto highways, crossing intersections, towing loads, or operating in heavy traffic. The recurring nature of the failure has reduced confidence in the reliability and safe operation of the vehicle. Even when the brake pedal was depressed, the voltage output was insufficient. While towing a trailer, the trailer brakes failed to operate adequately. Per mopar recall ZA3 transmission tube and dipstick recall. When completed at Orange Coast Ram [XXX] , dealership completed recall, removed original dipstick, and provided a 15" locking dipstick the does NOT provide needed transmission fluid level. Inquired in Orange Coast Ram service department, stated they will not provide needed 44"dipstick to monitor trans fluid. I cannot order, purchase the needed dipstick, creating a dangerous situation if fluid is low, and will result in transmission damage and possible dangerous condition if transmission fails while driving/.towing. I was told I will have to go to dealership and have the level checked, which is a routine needed owner maintenance job CORRECTIVE MEASURE: PROVIDE NEEDED 44" DIPSTICK TO MONITOR TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My truck was started in the morning and as it sat idle in the driveway I started attaching my trailer. By the time I got the trailer attached(20 seconds) there was smoke pouring out from under the hood. I immediately turned off the truck popped the hood and it was engulfed in flames. I was able to put out the fire with the garden hose. No check engine lights, no warning lights on dash, and I had just got it back from the dealership 2 days earlier and it passed a safety inspection before I picked it up. Im not sure what component failed but whatever did caused a fire

SERVICE BRAKES
I had to hard brake on a damp roadway at about 50 mph. The truck began to rotate and skid. I had no control over the vehicle until it stopped. The dash lights came on for a failure of the brakes, abs, traction control, and stability control. All of the lights went off then the truck seemed to drive normally. A short time later the lights came on and would not go off. Took the truck to the dealer. The hydraulic control unit was bad and was replaced. This did not fix the truck. Now it needs an abs control module. The truck remains at the dealer awaiting this repair. This appears to be a problem in the previous model year Ram 2500’s and it looks like my 2022 is affected also. There are recalls for these trucks but not for my model year.

BRAKE CONTROL INTERMITTENTLY FAIL TO WORK. NOT ABLE TO STOP 15,000 LB TRAILER. WEIGHT PUSHS VEICHLE OUT OF CONTROL. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? NEVER DOES IT FOR THE DEALER OR INDEPENDENT SERVICE CENTER AND THEY TOW MY TRAILER AROUND SEVERAL TIMES. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? DEALER & SERVICE CENTER Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? NO NO HOW DO I GET HELP IT IS A 2022 RAM 2500 BROUGHT NEW BY ME AND STARTED HAVING TROUBLE OFF AND ON SINCE THE FIRST 1,000 MILES AND NOW HAVE 26,000 MILES. I READ ABOUT THE RECALLS ON THE 2024 2025 RAM 2500 3500 MODELS WITH AN ENGINEERING PROBLEM ON TWO DIFFERENT VENDORS MAKING CONTROLERS FOR FCA.

The ABS, traction control, and 4x4 lights all came on at the same time. None are operable. During my research I was able to find recall 75b that aligns with the exactly with my current set of issues. 24v-653 is the NHTSA recall number associated. I need that recall added to my vehicle so I can get the very unsafe issue fixed
