  Coasting (last time I was doing 45 on a side road with my foot barely on the gas) and the truck gauges all reset to zero at once and the D button for Drive starts flashing. Try pressing the gas and you are neutral. Everything comes back on instantly but you are now in a flashing D mode (basically neutral) rolling in traffic. Loss of powertrain. It has happened 4 times now. Someone will die over this. Ram dealer now has my truck for the second time now. Updates did not fix it. Sounds like the same problem they are having with the Grand Cherokee as it is the same Hurricane motor.

  SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

  While driving all the brake system warning lights come on, even the anti-lock brake system light, and we get a warning stating emergency active braking system error message. The brake pedal goes all the way to the floor when we tried to pull off to the side of the road. This has happened multiple times now and at 1st the dealership couldn't replicate the problem. The it happened yet again and we got video evidence of the brake failure while driving. I did file a claim with Stellantis because the dealership can't get the brake system control module needed to hopefully correct this issue and they said they can get the part to the dealership on 10-5-25. At that point the dealership will have had the truck for 36 days.

  1. The Motor Generator Unit (MGU) failed on my 2021 Ram 1500. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. 2. The MGU failure caused a loud whining noise that worsened over two weeks, raising concern that the part could seize or fail while driving. A sudden failure could result in loss of vehicle power or drivability, creating a dangerous situation for me and others on the road. 3. Yes. A certified Ram dealership inspected my vehicle and officially diagnosed the MGU as defective. 4. Yes, the dealership confirmed the failure. To my knowledge, it has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. 5. There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages. The only symptom was a whining noise that started faintly and gradually increased over the course of approximately two weeks before the dealer diagnosis.

  There is an exhaust leak at the manifold which lets exhaust gas int the engine compartment and it smells in the passenger compartment. I feel there is a health risk of carbon monoxide poisoning . It seems as though should be a repair made by the manufacturer.

  Bucking during braking specifically when downshifting between 2nd and 1st gear. The dealer was able to replicate and confirmed by the dealer and manufacturer to have an issue. Numerous repairs with the vehicle remaining with the dealer from May 2025-August 2025. No resolution was found dealer stated "it was under further investigation by the manufacturer you must collect your vehicle". All paperwork attached starting May14, 2025 after issues arose.

  The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V265000 (Power Train); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had previously been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000.

  I bought a 2023 Ram 1500 brand new off the lot and the vehicle is only less than 3 years old. I was hoping the with me buying a brand new Ram that I would not have a major issue such as the fuel pump failing which caused me to pay $1809.64 out of pocket cost on a practically new vehicle. The fuel pump and the control module were both faulty with the dealer findings. With only 1000 miles over warranty, I think that this does not make since for such a major issue with a practically new vehicle that is not cover under the powertrain warranty. The vehicle has been taken in for regular maintenance. I would appreciate a refund of the amount paid to cover my loss

  2022 Hemi eTorque cause sudden engine stalling while driving, followed by the truck automatically applying the parking brake and shifting into park. Tow driver couldn't get the truck on the flat bed, had to drag onto the tow truck and drag off the tow truck. Couldn't get it out of park or get the brakes to release. We could have died! No part available for 45 days so I can't upload a repair invoice as of yet.

  The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated at start-up. The contact stated that the following day, the vehicle was taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with several cylinder misfires. An unknown repair was performed; however, the check engine warning light returned the following day. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the contact was informed that there was a misfire in cylinder#2. The contact was informed that the mechanic had replaced the spark plugs and ignition coil in cylinder#2 and cleaned the fuel injector; however, the check engine warning light remained. The contact was initially informed that further diagnostic tests needed to be performed and that a loaner vehicle could not be provided. Approximately 30 minutes after the loaner vehicle request was denied, the contact was informed that the vehicle had been repaired, and the vehicle was returned to the contact. The following day, upon starting the vehicle, there was gasoline pouring from the engine. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was given a number to have the vehicle towed to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer and remained with the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.

  Dash cluster blacks out. Have taken to two different dealerships and told can not replicate. Started at 1200 miles. Safety issues makes it hazardous to drive. Transmission fails to shift to 8th gear. Can be at 70 MPH and stays in 7th gear. Two dealerships not resolved. Last dealership followed service bulletin and updated transmission. Appears not to have worked

  The emergency brake malfunctioned transmission in park malfunctioned yes its available for inspection i was almost ran over by the truck or pinned between truck door and hand rail. I have not had vehicle inspection done yet dealer had been notified and awaiting there response. When i re entered the vehicle dash displayed warning emergency brake disengaged placed vehicle into drive to move forward and then dash displayed emergency brake engaged and placed vehicle into park automatically which made it nearly impossible to move. Prior to this event truck was parked in my driveway the night before then the following morning truck was in the grass it had rolled there. When connected to any trailer the dash displays check trailer connection and the running lights on passenger sides of the trailers are off and or going dim and bright.

  While driving my vehicle broke down in the middle of the road and locked up the engine because of the etorque generator. I was blocking traffic and had to be assisted by police and then towed. This is the second time this component has failed in 14 months. Both times leaving me stranded. I am now being told it could be weeks or months before the dealer can get my part. The etorque also caused the starter to lock up and it also now must be replaced. The vehicle broke down right after I got off the interstate 2 minutes earlier and I would of been on I-20 with vehicles traveling 70 mph. Someone is going to get hurt or killed because of this part.

  I have a 2021 ram 1500 and the belt started to make a lot of noise. I got it to the dealership and they had it a whole month and a half. They said it was the alternator but no it was something called a MGU (motor generator unit). Can't find it no where in the country. Im stuck with a 50k truck that I can drive. Warranty can't fix it and now I can't sleep.

The driver's side air bags did deploy but failed to inflate. The contact stated that he sustained injuries to his right rib, left ankle, purple bruises from whiplash to his left leg, and a hand. He also suffered a concussion to the head which required medical Attention. The contact stated that a police report was filed. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company.   All major braking and safety systems have failed, including the parking brake, 4-wheel drive, cruise and adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, and parking collision alerts. These failures occurred at the same time, and we believe there may be additional issues not yet identified. Our local dealership (Barry Sanders Supercenter, Stillwater, OK) attempted multiple repairs before opening a service ticket with RAM/Stellantis. We were informed the part needed to fix the problem is backordered for approximately one year. This extended delay means we must continue driving a vehicle without critical safety systems or park it indefinitely, creating both a financial and safety burden. The loss of these features greatly increases the risk of collisions, especially in bad weather or on highways where adaptive cruise, lane departure warnings, and blind spot detection are essential. Online searches show this is not an isolated issue but a recurring problem in 2025 RAM 1500 models, suggesting a broader manufacturing or design defect.
