On the interstate from [XXX] to [XXX] the Nissan Versa's License Plate reflected light so bright that it blinded my ride and we had to slow down and wait for them to get farther away from us. This is not random, they have a spray fixative on their license plate designed to block cameras from clocking their license plate or their numbers being recorded. This was easy to see whenever a light is shined onto it, you can see the thin film of camera block spray that is extremely reflective. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
Vehicle engine and all electrical shut-off, at intersection of XXX. in [XXX] on February 4th (on or before 6:57 AM MST) where the hazard lights failed to come on. My further answers to the questions above as [jhh]answer[/jhh]: What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? [jhh]The engine, and all electrical, lost power, including the hazard lights. The rental car company has possession, I do not know if they will allow a safety inspection, or not.[/jhh] How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? [jhh]The vehicle was disabled in the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic, I had to open the door, get out of the vehicle, and manually push it out of the way so that a cement truck, and other traffic could get through. My safety was put at risk, as the hazard lights failed to operate, so that fast moving, un-coming traffic, can be warned, to prevent a lethal collision.[/jhh] Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? [jhh]Not that I know of.[/jhh] Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? [jhh]The vehicle has been inspected by the rental car company when it was returned on February 12th.[/jhh] Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? [jhh]The hazard lights failed to turn on. I suspect, if there is an "advanced safety feature" installed, it may have created an unsafe, "failsafe" condition, where it not only disables the vehicle, but also, disables the hazard lights. There was some road space between me and the traffic light, so I slowly drove forward while looking down at the dash board. 2015 Nissan Versa 83,850 odometer reading Complaint: Safety for other individuals driving similar vehicles. Daughter was driving recently on 91 freeway in Long Beach, CA extremely busy highway on a Friday afternoon. Driving in the middle lane the cars forward movement stopped but car still running. Mechanic diagnosis was the CVT transmission. The car did not give us any warning at anytime there were any issues with the transmission. My concern and hope other would know about CVT transmissions This could of been a very bad day for my daughter if an accident was caused due to this issue. Thank God for the California Highway Patrol, The 911 operator and the California Tow Truck highway Patrol who got her off the highway quickly and safely.

The air bags never deployed, despite the high rate of speed and the entire front drivers side of the vehicle being affected.

The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended and made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was driven to the nearest family member's residence due to safety concerns. The contact stated that while attempting to drive from a complete stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle was driving significantly sluggish and was jerking abnormally. The contact was able to pull into a parking lot. The contact turned off the vehicle. Upon restarting the vehicle, the vehicle was driven but failed to drive at the intended speed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that fuel was not reaching the engine and two other unknown failures were found. The dealer added fuel to the vehicle, and unknown clamps were installed on the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to Nissan of Downtown LA (635 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015); where it was determined that the failure could be related to the fuel quality. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the dealer that an unknown computer part for the engine needed to be installed, and the vehicle needed to be reset. The vehicle was not repaired because the first dealer who sold the vehicle declined to cover the repair. An unknown yellow warning light was intermittently illuminated. The failure mileage was approximately 13.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 155,146.

When making a left hand turn the was a vehicle way behind the line. My car stopped suddenly and I couldn’t move I was stuck next thing I know the other vehicle collided with me. This vehicles auto braking is very dangerous leading to crash! I could not avoid the speeding car coming towards me I was paralyzed from this matter and then the vehicle had a crash. My concern is there. There was time for me to move through the intersection, but my vehicle locked up which made the other vehicle collide into the front of my car or the rental car so my concern is that automatic breaking is very dangerous.

The contact stated that after driving and parking the vehicle at the residence, an independent mechanic discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 174,485, with the instrument panel showing a mileage of 143,521. The scan tool used by the independent mechanic indicated a mileage of 89,180.

Odometer Fraud: The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that the vehicle jolted while driving. The contact stated that the check engine warning light had been tampered with. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 172,480. It was later discovered that the mileage was 143,521 after taking the vehicle to an independent mechanic using a scan tool. The Carfax Report indicated a mileage of 174,000. The Attorney General was contacted.

I purchased this car from Carvana on 02/25/26, 2022 Nissan Versa S Manual Transmission. On four occasions over the course of two separate days, while under way, I lost power and the car went into a limp mode. Twice I was able to pull off the road, twice I had to stop on the road. After coming to a complete stop I was able to place the car in first gear and continue on driving. This power loss puts me at risk to be rear ended by the following car. I took it to the Nissan Dealer on 03/17/26 expressing my concern. I was told that they could not find any code in the car that indicated the trouble I experienced, nor was there any illumination of the check engine light. Because of that I was told that my car could not be serviced.

The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that while driving approximately 4 MPH, the vehicle was shaking violently. There were no warning lights illuminated. When the heater was activated, there was a loud clanking sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure reoccurred. While stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle stalled and was towed to the same independent mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with a faulty computer, coils, and a defective crankshaft sensor. There was also paper found inside the heater system. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

0 The vehicle has a CVT transmission failure causing severe shuddering, jerking, and progressive loss of acceleration. Initially the vehicle would not exceed 20 mph, then worsened to 15 mph, then 10 mph, and now will not exceed 5 mph. The issue consistently occurs after the vehicle has been driven for more than approximately 2 minutes. There are no warning lights or alerts prior to the failure. The vehicle has completely lost power while driving and has stopped in the middle of the road with no ability to accelerate or restart the vehicle, creating an extremely dangerous situation and risk of collision. This appears to be a known and common defect with the CVT transmission on this vehicle model and year. The condition has progressively worsened and makes the vehicle unsafe to operate.

While merging onto [XXX] toward [XXX] , my 2016 Nissan Versa suffered a total loss of power while crossing active railroad tracks. The car stuttered and jerked before completely stalling and stopped responding. I was stranded in a high-traffic zone around [XXX] PM. I was worried that the vehicles coming behind me would not see my small car right away, as I was positioned past the railroad tracks and partway down the middle of the downhill slope. Because of the crest of the hill behind me, I lost sight of approaching traffic in my rearview mirror, which meant drivers coming over the top of the hill wouldn't see my stalled car until they were already descending toward me. I was fortunately able to get it restarted and drove it immediately to a Nissan dealership. A diagnostic scan confirmed Code P0746. The service technician told me the CVT assembly is internally destroyed ('toasted') and requires a full replacement. This catastrophic failure happened at only 50,484 miles, which is dangerously premature for a major transmission component. Transmission car doesn't move had issues since purchased brought to dealership over years car wouldn't bring the right code up mechanic knew it's transmission from driving it but because the car was showing false codes nothing gets done except we pay to replace parts that false codes showing still had issues with transmission millions of cars recalled for that type of transmission I want to know why my car wasn't recalled so it could get the transmission fixed like everyone else now I'm paying on a car that won't move because of a transmission that is bad to begin with and should not be on these vehicles I want my car recalled like it should have been and I want this issue resolved I have filed complaints with you in the past years about this issue never heard anything from you never so I will be contacting a lawyer over this if I don't get response
