My 2024 Nissan had a malfunction light of my auto on/off come on and then a malfunction of the traction control. I turned the car on and off which cleared the lights. I then began driving again and those came on as well as check engine light and reduced power came on while on the highway. The code was the camshaft sensor. I replaced this and codes still appear. Another mechanic put my car back on the computer and it is showing my timing chain at a 7. This is very disappointing considering car has less than 86000 miles on it. It isnt under warranty anymore as I do drive a lot. Oil changes were down regularly and this was a cash purchase. I loved my car up until this point. But at this point once I spend the extremely high amount to get this fixed I will be leaving nissan behind.

The Original Equipment (OE) Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S 255/50R20 105H M+S tires on my brand new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder suffer from groove wander on roads in which grooves are cut into them to mitigate hydroplaning in rainy conditions. The geometric design, tread design incompatibility, or structural irregularities of these tires cause severe groove wander and impair safe handling. I believe there is a mismatch between the tire design and the vehicle's weight or suspension design - Nissan should not be placing this OE tire on new Pathfinders. Groove wander causes the vehicle to follow road grooves involuntarily, which is a handling defect that compromise driver control. This condition is a safety hazard, especially at highway and interstate speeds or in inclement weather. Groove wander does not allow the vehicle to operate safely, causing the driver to constantly correct the involuntary path of the vehicle on such roads. The driver's and others' safety are at risk if the driver is unable to quickly correct the path of the vehicle and keep the vehicle in the lane of traffic to avoid lane departure into another vehicle or object. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by both the Nissan dealer from I bought the vehicle and a local Bridgestone/Firestone service center because both are unwilling to do so. Both have refused to accompany me on a test drive on Interstate 90 where this occurs because this road is approximately 12 miles one way from their locations (their claim it is too far away; if it was only 5 miles, they would be willing to do this). The tires have been visually inspected by both companies, and naturally both have found nothing wrong with the tires (normal wear at this time). Visually inspecting he tires will not diagnose the issue, and a test ride needs to be completed to document this issue - again both Nissan and Bridgestone refuse to do this. Other brand tires on other vehicles I own do not suffer groove wander.

The geometric design, tread design incompatibility, or structural irregularities of these tires cause severe groove wander and impair safe handling. Groove wander causes the vehicle to follow road grooves involuntarily, which is a handling defect that compromise driver control. Groove wander causes the vehicle to rapidly swerve from side to side, and in the case of my vehicle, feel as if the rear end is "fishtailing" and raising off the pavement. This condition is a safety hazard, especially at highway and interstate speeds or in inclement weather. Groove wander does not allow the vehicle to operate safely, causing the driver to constantly correct the involuntary path of the vehicle on such roads. - #11713250January 25, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I am reporting a failure of the Around View Monitor / camera system on my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. The system stopped functioning completely without warning. Pressing the camera button does nothing, the camera cannot be activated through vehicle settings, and no camera views (rear, front, or surround) are available. Parking sensors and the infotainment screen continue to work, indicating a system-level electronic failure rather than user error or a single camera issue. This vehicle relies on the camera system for rear visibility and low-speed maneuvering. The loss of this system reduces driver visibility and increases the risk of collision, especially when reversing or parking. The failure occurred despite normal use and maintenance, with no prior warnings or messages to the driver. The vehicle is only a few years old, yet the repair involves replacement of a major electronic control module at significant cost. This appears to be a premature failure of a safety-related electronic system. I am concerned this may affect other vehicles of the same model year and configuration.

Vehicle stalled on highway during extremely low outside temperatures and snow covered roadway. Engine malfuction, reduced power error code briefly appeared followed by a complete engine stall. Vechicle had no power and immediately needed to be steered to safety. Near whiteout conditions lead to an extremely dangerous situation, nearly causing a nearly collision. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had been at the dealership for a similar issue without complete engine stall. Dealer could not diagnose issue as no OBD codes remain after engine failure. This is an extremely dangerous vehicle. Immediate action is required.

- #11713004January 23, 2026ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)
The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving uphill at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power, with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart after the first attempt. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted; however, the transmission failed to shift into gear properly. The contact stated that while attempting to shift gear, the vehicle lost motive power. Due to the failure, the contact required assistance from the local Police Department to move the vehicle out of traffic. The contact was later able to restart the vehicle and drive for several miles; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and it was determined that the engine control module (ECM) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 250.

- #11712877January 23, 2026ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The vehicle has an ongoing safety-related defect involving the forward distance sensor. The distance sensor randomly turns off while driving, which disables critical collision-avoidance systems including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning, and Intelligent Cruise Control. The failure is intermittent and unpredictable. The safety systems may appear functional and then shut off without warning, which creates a safety hazard because the driver cannot reliably depend on the vehicle’s crash-prevention features. The vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times. The distance sensor has already been replaced once, but the problem continues to occur. In addition to the sensor issue, the vehicle has experienced multiple serious repairs, including replacement of the ECM, fuel pump replacement twice, battery replacement twice, engine oil pressure switch replacement, and other electrical-related issues. These repeated failures suggest an ongoing electronic or control system problem. At one point, the vehicle was held by the dealership due to the ECM being removed. A representative at Nissan of Murfreesboro suggested that I could pick up and drive the vehicle without the new ECM installed, stating it “shouldn’t” cause damage. I refused due to safety and risk of engine damage. Nissan Consumer Affairs has denied a buyback request and has only offered partial repair assistance, despite the safety system continuing to fail. The defect remains unresolved and continues to disable collision-avoidance systems while the vehicle is in operation. This issue presents a safety risk due to the loss of crash-prevention functionality without warning. I’ve had issues with the vehicle since I bought it in 2024. Nissan would only see my vehicle if I had a “video” since they have to have “proof” of the issue. Jan. 5, 2026 is the most recent time of me taking it in for the electrical light turning on and they said it’s internal failure of distance censor again.

- #11712591January 22, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
My vehicle has had 3 fuel pump failures in under a year, requiring 3 separate fuel pump replacements by an authorized Nissan dealership. The fuel pump failure causes the vehicle without warning to stall in active traffic, loss of power and the drivers seat to move back away from the steering wheel. The infotainment center has also failed 2 times and had to be replaced 2 separate times by an authorized Nissan dealership. The infotainment center failures also cause the back up and side view cameras to become inoperable. The vehicle and repair records are available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because the repeated and unpredictable fuel pump failures cause the engine to stall in active traffic and the loss of power. This is unsafe because the stalling has happened in hazardous situations like while exiting the interstate. The drivers seat also moves away from the steering wheel and brake while the car is in motion creating a risk of loss of control. Additionally, when the infotainment system fails so do the side view and back up cameras increasing the risk of an accident. Although the vehicle is currently operational, the pattern of failures creates an ongoing safety risk. An authorized Nissan dealership confirmed the failures and replaced the fuel pump three times and the infotainment system twice. The vehicle was inspected and repaired multiple times by an authorized Nissan dealership, and the issues were reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs. The failures occurred intermittently and without warning.

While driving at a moderate speed of 65 mph, the back portion of my panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered. There was a very loud noises followed by rattling of the glass on the sun roof cover. I pulled over immediately and pulled the sunroof cover half way back to see a hole the size of a softball through the sun roof. There is no debris that was flying in the air, on the road, or any signs of an object hitting my car. On inspection there was no body damage from my car and when i looked into the hole of the sunroof there was no object within it. There was also no vehicles directly in front of me, only a vehicle 150 feet in front. The weather was cloudy, but no rain or wind.

- #11712007January 20, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
The 25 pathfinder SV back up camera lags 2 to 3 seconds when shifted to reverse. It show a still image of what's behind but does not update to live feed till a few seconds later. This is dangerous as there have been many cases where I thought what the camera was showing was a live view behind my car when it was just a still image. I have had some close calls when backing into parkings spots.

Engine malfunction with loss of power occurred while driving. The vehicle entered reduced speed mode which created a dangerous situation for myself and others. This problem occurred 3 consecutive times during an extremely cold day. The code will clear after restarting the engine, but the issue randomly resumes during driving. Nissan towed the vehicle to a dealer. The dealer cleared the code and suggested they could not figure out the problem. I would not take the vehicle back without a comprehensive explanation of what occurred and a logical repair. This issue remains unsolved.

Car has many problems with battery. The dealership stated the wires are coated with soy, which is a food source for rodents. I've had to get the wires replaced in the car but continue to have problems with the battery. I've had multiple times when the car is dead and needs a jump. The wiper fluid pump also recently stopped working. I'm not sure how the car has not been recalled yet, with coating food for animals how many more wires have been eaten. This car has been services by dealership 5 times in the last 4 months

I bought a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum and the driver mirror shakes really bad going over 30 MPH. I have reached out to Nissan of North America and they said this is normal. I have talked to a master mechanic with Nissan and this is a well known issue. My wife and I test drove all the Platinum models at our local dealership and they all do this some worse than others. This is a massive safety issue especially when driving down the highway it gets ever worse and if you hit any kind of bump you cant see clearly out the mirror.

- #11706465December 22, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
I am reporting a concern regarding premature rear brake pad and rotor wear on a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder that appears inconsistent with mileage and normal driving conditions and may indicate a brake system design or control issue. The vehicle was purchased as Nissan Certified Pre-Owned with approximately 4,000 miles and has received multiple Nissan dealer inspections with no brake concerns noted. A Nissan Vehicle Health Report issued shortly before the issue indicated “No Action Required” for the brake system. At approximately 14,600 miles, a Nissan dealer measured the rear brake pads at approximately 3 mm, while the front brakes were still in good condition. A second inspection by an independent repair facility confirmed advanced rear brake wear and further determined that the rear brake rotors were damaged and not serviceable. The independent shop advised returning the vehicle to Nissan because the wear pattern was not consistent with mileage or normal driving behavior. Rear brakes wearing significantly faster than front brakes is atypical. The vehicle has not been used for aggressive driving, towing, or severe duty. A Nissan service advisor stated that they have seen early rear brake wear on Nissan Pathfinders and suggested it may be related to the Auto Hold brake feature. The Auto Hold feature is not used on this vehicle, raising concern that brake system logic, electronic parking brake behavior, or control software may be contributing to unintended brake application or drag. Premature rear brake and rotor wear could reduce braking effectiveness, increase stopping distance, and create a potential safety risk, especially if drivers are unaware of accelerated brake degradation. I am submitting this complaint to document a potential pattern of early rear brake system wear on this vehicle model for safety review.

VIN [XXX] Date of Incident: December 21, 2025 Location: I-295 South, merging onto I-95 South, Jacksonville, FL Vehicle: 2025 Nissan Pathfinder, VIN [XXX] Owner: [XXX] Witness: [XXX] Phone Number: [XXX] Email Address: [XXX] Incident Description: While driving on I-295 South, merging onto I-95 South at approximately 65 mph, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The gas pedal became completely stuck to the floor, and I had to keep my foot on the brakes to try to slow the vehicle. Every time I lifted my foot off the brakes, the car would accelerate again. I had to gently pat the brakes repeatedly to slow the vehicle. Once I was finally able to slow the vehicle and bring it to a stop while keeping my foot on the brakes, I tried to shift the car into Park, but it would not go into Park and the gas pedal remained stuck to the floor. I had to turn off the engine completely before the gas pedal released and the car could be shifted into Park. My husband, Alan Moore, was in the car and witnessed all of these events. This incident created a life-threatening situation. The vehicle had previously been taken to the dealership for fuel consumption issues, but no problem was found at that time. Additional Information: The vehicle is unsafe to drive, and I am requesting immediate escalation to Nissan North America for buyback or replacement, as well as a loaner vehicle while this matter is under review. Premature wear on rear brakes and dealers tells there fine each time I’ve taken it in for service I don’t think they even test driven the car is shakes and vibrates when you brake at speeds higher than 30-40 mph. They advised me the battery needs replacing on the last service that it’s showing some sort of signs that needs to be replaced. The heated seats on the passenger side just stopped working all of a sudden. From what I can see online from forums and people complains these are common issues on this vehicle and they are pushed on the customer. I will see what can be covered under warranty but it seems only the seat issue would be covered. This needs to be addressed the brakes are too small and under powered for this size of a vehicle especially if you are towing. It appear they wear out prematurely if your using the cruise control which I don’t use a often or drive down mountain sides or tow at the moment so it doesn’t make sense I have a 2023 Nissan pathfinder with less than 28000 miles. I will be taking the vehicle in soon to address these issues as the tech spoke to me about the battery only when I went in for an oil change and I refused the battery since the vehicle has not had any issue or sign or needing a battery and they would not cover it telling me it was more preventative.

The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine made abnormal sounds, and the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle jerked backwards while shifting from park(P) to drive(D), and the windshield wipers remained stuck in the middle of the windshield for three minutes after activation. The contact stated that the battery was replaced after two months of purchasing the vehicle new. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.

Forward warning system dashboard light goes on and does not shut off. Module has been replaced at a cost of $2500 and this has not solved the problem. Light has gone off with a chime alarm and yellow triangle with an exclamation point too. We were told we needed to get it fixed as soon as possible for safety reasons. Unfortunately, Nissan dealer can't seem to fix the problem and we're afraid to drive the vehicle.

- #11702838December 3, 2025LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The control buttons located on the steering wheel of the newer model Nissan Pathfinder are malfunctioning. These buttons control numerous functions and sensors. What's happening is, the spring action of the buttons are failing and the button is loose. This causes the button to make contact as if it was pushed without touching it, simply driving over a bump. Some of these buttons control warning sensors for the vehicle, anti-collision, parking, blind spot, etc. Numerous people are complaining about this online. Several have said their dealer service department acknowledges that this is a known issue. I contacted Nissan customer service and they told me there is no information in their system about this problem and any repair would be out of pocket by the customer. This is a very expensive repair. This issue must be addressed. There are too many Pathfinder owners having the exact same problem. Please look into this. Thank you
