While driving, the unit that houses the TV and stereo and air vents (center console on roof) decided to break and fall on my child who was in her car seat, almost resulting in me crashing my vehicle. This is a hazard alone. Due to the poor design of this center console, there is no way to repair this piece. It has to be replaced with the same faulty piece, which will eventually break again due to it not being able to sustain the weight. This happened to me at about 78,000 miles. I had to remove the center console.

Who have that money to keep on replacing the same thing so it have to be some kind of fault with the switch .

The fuel system failed while I was driving in traffic. The vehicle shutoff and would not restart. Safety is was in flowing traffic my vehicle all of sudden stopped forward motion. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. The check engine and battery light came on. I do not recall the other indicators. My fuel gauge was showing a needles width of 1/4 tank when this happened. I bought a gas can and went to the closest gas station for fuel. I put two gallons in and the vehicle started up.

Cracked exhaust manifolds, as a safety issue, Exhaust gasses can enter the drivers compartment. Nissan has know about this issue for years, it is a defect, it is a very big issue with a very large percent of vehicles with this issue. Please issue a recall, so the manufacture pays for it and not the owner.

Several times when driving, my brake light will come on and when pressing the brake, it does not engage. When you press on the pedal you hear a loud grinding sound. It does not slow down the vehicle at all and the grinding is loud and seems to be damaging internal parts. When you turn the engine off, and restart it the problem goes away. I have read so many similar issues with 2006 nissan armada about the brake light. How is this not a safety recall especially when I’m on the freeway driving 65 MPH and all of a sudden brake light comes on! I have to pull over safely and hard to do especially when the brake does not engage at all when the light is on. This is a huge safety concern for me due to the fact that I never know when this is going to happen again. What if it happens while I need to come to a quick emergency stop?! This is a major safety concern that needs to be looked into!!

I had a sudden power lose with no warning while traveling down interstate at 70mph in "fast lane". I had no power and steering the vehicle to safety was a serious challenge. We were almost hit several time as I negotiated my way to the shoulder of the Interstate. I was scary and after almost being struck by passing vehicles, my wife actually got sick to her stomach. After avoiding accident's to pull off shoulder of the road I was not able to get the vehicle started. Upon being towed home I discovered the vehicle ran out of gas, although the gas gauge was showing 1/4 of tank. I went online and found there was a recall for Nissan Armada, 2005-2009 dated 3/18/2010 for the same exact issue (see NHTSA # 10V-074). Nissan did not correct the defect and there are numerous complaints of this dangerous issue with following year models. This issue is seriously dangerous and can lead to serious injury or death and a recall should be mandatory. I called Nissan but they refused to assist with repairs or recall. I had the fuel pump sending unit replaced at my expense and request Nissan reimburse me. This is not an issue due to age or mileage. This is a DESIGN FLAW that is wide spread and Nissan has failed to accept responsibility or notify owners of potential problem. Requesting NHTSA assistance and action to prevent injury or death to other Nissan owners. I also plan to speak with an attorney regarding possibility of a class action suit.

While traveling w/b on I78 into Pennsylvania I noticed my car suddenly veering to the left. I stopped at a toll booth to proceed to the next exit to check on the problem and as I accelerated out of the toll booth the car began to fishtail wildly. After being able to bring the car under control I pulled off to the shoulder expecting, from the sound of the scraping metal, to find a blown tire. When I checked on the r/r tire I noticed it seemed to have collapsed and that the lower control arm had broken from the frame of the car leaving the car inoperable. I had the car taken on a flatbed to the nearest Nissan dealership.

- #11481100August 24, 2022ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Repeatedly drained battery, and won’t start.Nissan dealership Has the worst scheduling system that takes 1 week to get an appointment. Still unknown issue, car turns on, replaced battery worked for one week and then issue appeared again. The Armada drains the battery for no reason. The frontal collision warning comes on while driving even if no car are near and stays on. Car has power but will not start or release the gear to neutral. This has happened on several occasions and then it starts later after a jump. Can’t turn car off or I will get stranded.

I was driving on the road and my brake light came on and my brakes failed. As I tried to stop my brakes made a grinding spring noise. I turned the car off and after about 3 minutes I restarted and everything was fine. I continue to drive and less than 10 minutes later it did it again. I have went online to look for information and I see that there was a lawsuit about the booster Delta sensor. I called Nissan and they denied this, and I went to the Nissan dealership and they will check it out because they have not seen any recalls on my vehicle for this problem yet online there's a whole lot of customer complaints about this model doing the exact same thing. Here is the Case# 46966578 Nissan gave me to document the call. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.carcomplaints.com/news/2014/nissan-delta-stroke-sensor-brake-lawsuit.shtml&ved=2ahUKEwiW_sjo1rn5AhXiIEQIHVLABjMQFnoECBsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2DxxR2-Vd0tjpN2-V2JVBq

The airbag light has been on for a while indicating that there is a defect in the airbags . The brakes light comes on randomly and the car brakes on its own without me applying the brakes and that is very dangerous especially on the highway and the transmission light comes on showing the 4x4 light as on for no reason and I would have it on just the 2 wheels

We have had to replace the brake switch multiple times for this vehicle. The brake switch controls starting the vehicle, break collision intervention sytem, vehicle operation, etc. The brake switch goes out with no warning. The brake switch has also gone out during vehicle operation on the road (i.e. vehicle dies while driving). Being stranded with no warning and vehicle stop working while driving are serious safety concerns. The vehicle has been inspected by a Nissan dealership and they reported no other problems with the vehicle other than needing to replace brake switch. The Nissan dealership could not give a reason as to why the brake switch keeps going out. Google searches indicates may owners of this same vehicle have the same issue and is a major problem that Nissan will not address.

I have a 2005 Nissan Armada that has a known problem with its brakes. It has a faulty Delta Brake Sensor and Brake Booster. What happens is that the brake light comeson, the vehicle losses its braking ability and sounds like metal scraping when you apply the brakes. The issue will reset if you turn off the car. Nissan knows about this issue but has failed to send 2004-2006 Armada owners of information on how to get this fixed at a local dealer. Here is a link to the class action settlement: https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/closed-settlements/nissan-brake-defect-class-action-settlement/ My complaint is this, there were 350,000 affected vehicles and mine was one of them. I was never notified by Nissan of this faulty part and did not know that Nissan would reimburse me for the repair. The settlement date is now closed but the problem still exists in many Nissan affected vehicles. I called Nissan USA and they said Nissan could do nothing for me. I called my local Nissan dealer and described the problem and they said they could do nothing for me but that I could pay out of pocket to have the brake booster replaced at qa cost of $1500f or parts and labor. The error code associated with this problem is C1179. This issue is a safety issue and it affects the vehicles ability to stop. If you do not see the brake warning light on you do not know that the issue is happening. This could result in a dangerous situation at highway speeds. I would like the NHTSA to get involved and to demand that Nissan repair this known problem free of charge. The 2020 Nissan Armada Platinum began with a BCI Malfunction notification on the dash, as well as multiple other warning lights illuminating on the same time on the dash. As well the low windshield washer fluid light came on after just changing the oil and checking fluids in mid-June. Reservoir was filled with additional washer fluid, the notification went off, but returned 30 minutes later despite the reservoir being full. Later in the day, the gear shift would not immediately engage to allow me to put the car into drive. While sitting at a stop light in a turn lane the car was put into Park to adjust the Navigation settings. From that point, the car would not shift into any other gear to make the car operational. Panicked and blocking traffic in the road, the car was turned off in the hopes it could be turned back on and it would engage the gear shift. The Armada would not start after that point at all. I sat for ten minutes attempting to restart the car, constantly having to get out of my car to waive traffic around me, putting myself at risk of being hit. Thankfully, a local Fire Dept was coming back from a call, and stopped to assist me. They blocked traffic to my right with their fire engine, and a family member came and blocked traffic from behind me with their vehicle to keep me safer than I had been. The Firemen tried everything they could to get the car to start to get the car to safety as we contacted a tow truck. With no success after another 20 minutes, they had to get a long screwdriver from the fire engine to release the shift lock to be able to put the Armada in Neutral. It took three firemen, and a family member to be able to push the car across three lanes of traffic, with the fire engine driving alongside my right to block traffic, pushing me into a busy intersection (at one point with an 18-wheel coming at us) to make a right onto the connecting street to a gas station parking lot to await a tow to the dealership. So scary!

Component or system unknown other than personal research. Suspect break sensor or possibly called stop lamp. Again, not positive. My Armada randomly will not start, leaving me stranded many times (with children). When I push the start button, sometimes the car shakes while making a horrible sound and trying to start but never starts. It has to be jumped off before it will start. Sometimes, it just clicks and does nothing. We took to our local Midas, who found no codes triggered, battery, alternator, starter etc all good. We drove another week and it happened again so this time we took to the Nissan dealership. Again, they checked everything, found nothing. Upon researching myself, I'm finding many people having this same issue yet Nissan team has no clue what to fix. I'm stuck driving a car that leaves me randomly stranded or doesn't start at all for me to even leave my house. I tried looking up the part myself and adding a new one (desperate to find the issue) but I'm not car savvy and can not locate the "easy" piece near my break pedal. I'm getting desperate and should not have a car with less than 70,000 miles leaving me stranded. No warning lights appear.

I was driving in traffic and my breaks went out and I almost got in a collision. The breaks at first didn't work and then were bouncing and grinding to stop and the break warning light came on. I swerved and barely missed another car. I pulled over in a parking lot there was a burning smell and let it sit for 4hr. I took it to get the breaks fixed an they couldn't find any issues with the breaking system except for the Delta Stroke Sensor Failure. I understand this has a been an ongoing issue with cars. One situation killed 3 people and Nissan lost a $25M lawsuit on this. I can't understand why this wouldn't be on a recall as issues with the breaking system is life threatening. My car is now at Nissan getting fixed, has been there for 2 weeks, they still can't figure out the issue with the Delta Sensor breaking system. This is very serious and no matter what age of the car, should be covered under a recall. You can find hundreds of articles online to understand how many cars are affected. Please look into this and issue a recall.

This issue had been going on for years with my 2004 Nissan Armada. Driving down the freeway at approximately 70mph and the brake light comes on out of no where. When this happens there us no way to safe stop the vehicle because the brakes will not engage. There is this rattling and grinding sound that happens each time. The only way to safely continue is turn the truck off and back on. This needs to be corrected immediately before there is a fatal because of brake failure. Nissan refuse to research all the complaints.

The contact owned a 2006 Nissan Armada. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH and approaching a stop sign, the contact became aware of smoke and then fire coming from underneath the hood. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact and passenger exited the vehicle safely. The contact stated that she had minor hip pain but did not seek medical attention. The contact stated that the Fire Department arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire but not before the vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 10V517000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and 08V284000 (Equipment) for which the VIN was included. The approximate failure mileage was 182,000.
