UNKNOWN I was informed in July about the recall for my vehicle for the footwell control module. I have since taken my car in twice, the most being December 22, and they informed me that the fix for the recap was still not available. The recall was initially issued in May of last year, so it has been almost 8 months without being able to resolve the recall.

The contact's nephew owned a 2022 Mini Cooper Clubman. The contact stated that while the nephew was driving approximately 35 MPH the braking system suddenly failed and the brake pedal extended to the floor causing the vehicle to crash into a tree. During the crash, the vehicle was destroyed. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The contact indicated that the nephew sustained a traumatic brain injury and was in a coma for approximately two months. The nephew also sustained several fractured bones and mental problems due to the head injury. The cause of the brake failure was not determined. The contact indicated that before the crash occurred the "brake" warning light had illuminated and the brakes had intermittently failed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure and no parts to repair the braking system were available. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet contacted regarding the crash. The failure mileage was 2,500.

This vehicle has the same environmental air catalyst sensor as in the recall SIM 01 05 20 from the NTHSA however the engine number is different and isn't therefore covered. The failure started about 3 months ago and I've been back and forth with Mini about it. The vehicle has <75k miles. It's available to be inspected. It has been confirmed by a dealer.

My vehicle has this known problem by BMW and is not covered. Should be recalled! SIM 13 01 19 LIN BUS COMMUNICATION FAULT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AIR CATALYST (EAC) SENSOR FC1B8302 The chemical composition of the fan shroud contaminates the EAC sensor. There is a loss of LIN-Bus communication (signal) from the EAC Sensor that is permanently mounted on the engine radiator due to corrosion that develops over time. CORRECTION Replace the radiator with EAC sensor and, if necessary, replace the fan shroud.

The contact owns a 2012 Mini Cooper Clubman. The contact stated that the turn signals, exterior lighting, power windows, and power locks all failed to operate as needed. The check engine warning light was also illuminated. Months prior to the failure, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V337000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure was approximately 70,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The contact stated the car is not drivable, turn signals, hazards and windows inoperable. MINI/BMW informed the contact could receive the FCM update if she paid out of pocket for the update.

My Mini Clubman All4, despite having clocked in a mere 33,000 miles in the past four years, has been plagued with issues concerning its air conditioning system. Initially, I sought assistance from the Mini of Morristown dealership in Morristown, NJ, where my vehicle has been serviced over the years. However, their service proved to be unsatisfactory. Despite reassurances that they had recharged the system and that there were no inherent issues, the problem persisted. Upon contacting them again, I was informed that further diagnostics would be subject to additional charges. Disconcerted, I reached out to Mini's customer service team, only to be met with a reaffirmation that there was little they could do. With no resolution in sight, I sought help from a local independent mechanic, who quickly identified the root cause - a compressor line rubbing against other components, leading to leakage – PART # F56 6453 9209722-04. This diagnosis and the ability to swiftly rectify it contrasts starkly with the inability of the authorized dealership to provide effective solutions. This issue may be indicative of a design flaw requiring a recall to prevent further mishaps that could endanger Mini owners. You are welcome to contact Mini of Morristown, NJ, for all service records associated with this issue. I urge you to take immediate action and rectify this situation, not just for my sake but for the sake of all Mini customers. I HAVE THE PART AND CAN SHIP IT. I ALREADY PROVIDED PICTURES OF THE WEAR IN MY EMAIL. The summer heat with the AC not working is surely a hazard. The issue was confirmed by the independent service center that diagnosed and fixed the problem. The manufacturer has been indifferent thus far. It is only now that I have raised a concern with the company's CEO's office. No warning lamps or messages appeared. The Mini team has been incompetent in addressing the issue.

The footwell module failed due to corrosion. This is a known issue with these vehicles and is a fire hazard. Recall 23V-337 is active but is currently being limited to vehicles in certain northern states citing the use of road salt. This design issue is not limited to vehicles exposed to road salt. For example my vehicle has been exposed to years of salty, humid air as a result of being used on the coast of SC and GA. I request the recall be expanded to cover vehicles used in other states especially those exposed to coastal environments.

The Roll Warning light for my 2017 Clubman came on with this message: Secure vehicle with parking brake when stopped. Consult service center. The light came on Saturday evening when I got into my car to go home from a friend's house. It was parked on the side of the street. It comes on now whenever it's parked and I am turning on my emergency brake but the car has not rolled. A friend of mine has a 2017 Mini Cooper 4 door and this same light came on for her the same week mine did. I've also found others posting about it online. All 2017 mini coopers. I went to the dealer (Dreyer & Reinbold of Indianapolis) and they told me 99% of the time the gear shifter assembly would need to be replaced at a cost of $2,100 plus tax and shop supplies. This seems like a problem Mini needs to pay for.

I have had 2 problems with the springs breaking on my car which seems like a very odd thing, especially for a 2014 model that is not abused. This seems like a manufacturing defect and can easily cause an accident due to tire blowout and/or unpredictable handling. 1) The most recent problem occurred on February 8, 2023 with the front springs. The spring on the driver side broke and shifted outward rubbing the inner sidewall of the tire causing it to blowout. Fortunately I was on surface streets driving around 20-30MPH when this started (noticed smoke from the wheel well and a burning smell. I was only a block or two from a friends house when this started and was lucky the tire did not blow out until I was less than 200 yards from his house. As of now I put one of the winter wheel/tire on the car but it is still not drivable due to the spring hitting the tire. This repair and a new tire (old set only had around 20,000 miles) are to be replaced tomorrow, February 10, 2023 for an estimated $1100 for new front shock/spring assemblies , labor and alignment (I am also replacing the tires for $1300 so all are the same make/model/mileage). I can share bill after the repairs are complete. 2) The oldest problem was with the rear springs in March 2020. The springs rusted and broke causing the car to squat in the rear and not handle safely on the road above 50MPH. It would bounce unpredictably and sway side to side in the rear. I was fortunate that I did not have to make any quick maneuvers that could have caused the car to go out of control. The springs were replaced at a local shop for a total of $1010.88. I can locate the file and share this bill if necessary

Warning comes on stating secure vehicle from rolling. Dealership told us a "sensor" would need to be replaced to correct the problem. It would cost 1800.00 for the part. Advised to put parking brake on when parked. This seems to be a manufacturer problem. We had this issue around 36000 miles.

The contact owned a 2019 Mini Cooper Clubman. The contact stated while driving at 45 MPH with her 3 years old son in a car seat located in the rear seats. and coming to a stop, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond and vibrated while emitting an abnormal ticking sound. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the trailer hitch of the occupied vehicle before her. There was no warning light illuminated. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained severe whiplash, memory loss, fatigue, headaches, pain and bruises on the chest. The contact had been seeking medical assistance and was scheduled for an MRI. The contact's son did not sustain any injuries. The contact stated that the other driver did not sustain any injuries and was able to continue driving. a broken $4 part in the shifting mechanism may cause the car to roll when in park unexpectedly. to replace the part costs ~$2000 in labor. this is a well known issue with MINI Coopers. there is a warning message about the car potentially rolling. given the cost and wide-spread nature of the issue MINI should replace at no cost.

The left brake light in the bumper intermittently fails. A warning is issued in the dashboard display. Switching bulbs with the properly lighting adjoining bumper tail lamp corrects the issue temporarily. The brake light will operate properly and the dash warning will reset. At some point, the fault reoccurs.

The engine drive belt has been replaced twice. The ignition coils have been replaced twice.there have been recurrent problems with oil leaks beginning in 2016. The “water pipe” was replaced due to leak. The thermostat assembly was leaking and that was replaced. The front sway bar links and bushings were also replaced. This car has been nothing but trouble. Currently it needs a new catalytic converter due to an air leak in a section. I have repair bills for every incident. The date below is the date the oil control solenoid was replaced.

The car has a warning light "secure car against rolling" at first I thought it was a reminder to set the parking brake. The next warning light was "service required" - I just bought this 2017 Mini Clubman two weeks ago so I took it to the mini dealer service center. The motor mount, gear shifter, brakes were all affected and need replacing. When I looked up the "warning light" online - there are literally forums where this specific warning is discussed. I feel this should be an active recall item for Mini Coopers. I could have easily dismissed the warning as a parking brake notice - and caused an accident by letting it go.

1. 2016 Mini Cooper S Clubman's Head Unit is inoperable which provides vehicle information such as, Backup Camera, Oil Pressure, Tire Pressure, Maintenance Schedule(s), Hands-Free (Bluetooth) connection, Emergency Call Roadside Assistance, Brake Pads early warning due to brake pad sensors, and vehicle setting are displaying "No Signal", therefore making it virtually impossible to know the status of the vehicle when operating the vehicle. 2. The Emergency Brake (Finger Press UP to "Lock" and Down to "Release". When emergency brake is applied, it will "Not" release even on level pavement, therefore taking up 30 minutes or more before releasing to drive.
