Summary
Complaint Brief connectivity interruptions when using Apple CarPlay over Wi-Fi, for example when driving underneath toll bridges. Cause There may be interruptions to WiFi as a result of external interference. This is particularly observed around toll bridges. Remedy There is currently no remedy and replacing hardware does not resolve the problem. An alternative option would be to use Apple CarPlay wired. In the FUP4 variant of the head unit software (Q1/2024), stability improvements have been made to the Wi-Fi connection.

As a result, a rear axle steering fault message might sporadically appear in the instrument cluster during engine start. The vehicle continues to be operational and safe to drive should the message appear. What Weâre Doing MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the software on the left and right rear axle steering control unit.

This warranty extension applies to the replacement of the rear subframe under the standard warranty terms and conditions in the even the subframe experiences corrosion with perforation (holes). In our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (âMBUSAâ) is extending the warranty coverage on the exhaust valve system in certain Model Year (âMYâ) vehicles listed below as follows: - MY2011: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 12 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) - MY2012: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 11 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) - MY2013 â MY 2016: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 10 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) This extended warranty applies to the following condition that may necessitate the repair or replacement of components related to the exhaust valve assembly (e.g. exhaust valve, cylinderhead) related to: â¢ Over time, increased lateral forces may lead to wear in the valve guide and/or seat ring. This issue could potentially cause combustion misfire for cylinder 1 through 8 (right and/or left cylinder head), resulting in an activation of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (âMILâ) .

Complaint Overhead control panel makes noises/rattles Cause Noise and/or rattle present as a result of missing foam pads for sound dampening. Remedy A. Expose the frame of the overhead control panel (cf. picture 1.1 - WIS AR82.20-P-1000S) B. Review the label of the overhead control panel (cf. picture 1.2, label on top of overhead control panel A0009008539). If a blue dot is present on the label, perform step C as an immediate measure. If the label does not have a blue dot: Order a new overhead control panel and perform step C as an immediate measure with the new component part C. Apply the foam pads (3 in total) as per picture 1.3.

Complaint The display in the Lower Multifunction Steering Wheel Button Group (A74/2) may be completely or partially inoperable (see attached picture). Note: There is no loss of vehicle functionality due to this complaint Cause The complaint may occur when a new user profile is created in MBUX. Remedy Immediate measure: Perform a user data reset of the MBUX Multimedia System (settings -> system -> reset). Long-term measure: Updated AMG Drive Unit (N145/1) software is under development. Complaint Tailgate opens unintentionally. Cause Accidental or unnoticed activation of the button to open the tailgate on the vehicle key. E.g. when stored in trouser pocket, handbag etc. Remedy As of the 6th generation, the vehicle key can be recoded so that the tailgate no longer opens as a result of a long press on the button, but by double-clicking on the button instead.

Summary
Complaint Power steering unavailable following engine start, warning message in instrument cluster. Fault codes in electric power steering control unit (N68). Fault code details/freeze frame data of the fault codes show the following values: P063500: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a component fault." - Mon_ID 40 P063547: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. There is a runtime error." - Mon_ID 33 P063509: "The electric power steering has a malfunction. _" - Mon_ID 938 Cause Software error when starting the electric power steering control unit (N68). Remedy Perform software update of electric power steering, control unit N68. Please also observe the guided check in XENTRY Diagnosis!
