SummaryComplaint Noise interference when using the hands-free system (phone call). Cause The noise is caused by electromagnetic interference (EMC fault) affecting the microphone lines and thus impacting voice quality. The severity of these faults may vary depending on the vehicle. Remedy To avoid EMC-related interference noise, the SOS microphone line is no longer routed through the rear-installed head unit (A26/17) but is instead routed directly from the new double microphone to the telematics control unit (N112/9). The work instruction for implementation is attached to this document and must be completed in full. Operation steps from the attachment: • Slide 6: De-pin pins 19 and 6 from plug A at the head unit (A26/17), insulate and strap down. These lines are no longer needed. • Slide 7: Replace the front left microphone with the double microphone (A213 820 2801) (AR82.70-P-8969XG). Info: The installation location of the double microphone is always at the front left. There is no difference here between the right-hand drive or left-hand drive versions. • Slide 9: Pin the double microphone wiring harness at connector X58/3X1 at pin 1 (white) and pin 14 (shield). • Slide 10: De-pin the Hermes wiring harness at connector X58/3X1 pin 1 (black line) and pin the white line in its place. Connect to pin 14 (brown line). Insulate the black line and tie it back. • Slide 15: De-pin and strap down the existing lines at connector 1 on the HERMES (N112/9) from pin 29 (brown), pin 30 (white), and pin 31 (black). • Slide 16: Insert the brown line of the new wiring harness at pin 29 and the white wire at pin 30. Connect the shield (black line) to pin 31. After completion, please document the following FO text in Vehicle Documentation System: "Conversion to double microphone (A213 820 28 01) performed as per LI82.70-P-079903."

SummaryMercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the engine control software might not meet current specifications. As a result, the diagnosis routine for monitoring the air-fuel ratio might not be activated as intended and a malfunction in the oxygen sensor could be erroneously detected causing the “check engine” Malfunction Indicator Lamp (‘MIL’) to illuminate. MBUSA will conduct a voluntary emissions recall. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine control unit software.

SummaryComplaint Only vehicles with a variable transfer case are affected. This can be identified through control unit N45 or N15/7 in the quick test. When accelerating with light load, vibrations or jolting sensation may come from the drivetrain. It may be mistaken for a harsh shift. Cause Modified oil quality of the transfer case over time Remedy 1. Check initial quick test for faults in the following control units. N45 or N15/7 - All-wheel drive (ARS) N127 - 'Drivetrain' (PTCU) control unit Y3/8 - Transmission control for 9-gear transmission (VGS) N3/10 - Engine electronics for combustion engine If faults are present: Process them as per the guided test in Xentry. If no faults are present: 2. Check the transmission oil level If the oil level is correct: 3. Unplug the connector for the transfer cases control unit and reassess the vehicle on a subsequent test drive If the complaint no longer occurs with the control unit disconnected: 4. Perform an oil change of the transfer case according to WIS specifications - Collect an oil sample of the original fluid 5. Complete all transfer case Tech-in processes located under VG Control Unit > Adaptations - Resetting the oil service data - Calibration of N15/7 5. Perform road test of vehicle to bring transmission to operating temperature ( >60C ) 6. Operate vehicle in full circle with steering at full lock - 5x to the left - 5x to the right Return the vehicle to the client and request they drive the vehicle for at least 200 miles and return if the concern is not resolved. The extended drive will ensure the clutches are properly conditioned with the new oil and should resolve the concern. If the concern continues to occur with the control unit disconnected or after the above steps have been performed, please submit a TIPS case to the Powertrain inbox with the following information: - Initial quick test with fault freeze frame data - Initial transmission EEPROM data - VGS and Transfer Case Control Unit Log (N45 or N15/7) - Photo of the original oil condition - What color was the fluid drained from the transfer case before the oil change? - Was an oil sample collected, and can you provide a photo of the original fluid? - What color and part number fluid was used during the oil change? - How far was the vehicle driven after?

SummaryComplaint Consistently reproducible erroneous parktronic warnings from front. Cause The parking sensors are detecting the front brush guard. Remedy Complaint must be consistently reproducible. NOTE: The parking system serves solely as an aid. Please review both the system function and system limitations as shown in the Operator's Manual. Certain environmental factors can affect system functionality such as hot exhaust gases or extreme heat, sensor interference, or other outside influences or aftermarket modifications. If after verifying the complaint is consistently reproducible: 1. Remove the brush guard and verify the park distance sensors function as expected. 2. Reinstall brush guard and adjust so that it is as far away from the park sensors as possible. Typically only small adjustments are possible. 3. Check function. If the concern is still consistently reproducible, please apply clear matte film to the locations as shown below at a minimum, although the clear matte film may be applied to the whole brush guard.

Operation steps from the attachment: • Slide 6: Unpin connector A at the head unit (A26/17) pin 19 and pin 6, insulate them, and tie them back. These lines are no longer needed. • Slide 8: Replace front left microphone with double microphone (A213 820 2801) (AR82.70-P-8969XG). Info: The installation location of the double microphone is always front left. There is no difference here between the righthand drive or left-hand drive versions. • Slide 10: Pin the double microphone wiring harness to connector X58/3X1 at pin 1 (white) and pin 14 (screen). • Slide 12: Unpin the Hermes wiring harness at connector X58/3X1 pin 1 (black line) and pin the white line in its place. Connect to pin 14 (brown line). Insulate the black line and tie it back. • Slide 18: Unpin pin 29 (brown), pin 30 (white), and pin 31 (black) from connector 1 on the HERMES (N112/9). Pin the screen (black line) to pin 31. Pin brown to pin 29 and signal (white) to pin 30. Note on parts availability: In December 2025 and January 2026, there may be limited availability of repair wiring harnesses.

SummaryComplaint (Original LI document #: LI27.35-P-079039) Clicking noises from the electro-hydraulic control unit (EHS) when the vehicle is stationary and ECO Start/Stop is active (combustion engine is off). The noise is more noticeable outside the vehicle and in acoustically shielded areas such as closed rooms or garages. Cause The noise in the valve body (EHS) is caused by superimposed pressure peaks acting on the valves. This phenomenon occurs only after a certain running-in period due to the influence of micro-contamination in the valve bores. Remedy A hardware modification of the electro-hydraulic control unit (EHS) is currently being implemented (no change to the part number). This will be incorporated into series production and as a spare part starting from 12/2025. This is only a comfort-related complaint and has no impact on the functionality or service life of the transmission. For sensitive customers, the following measures can be performed: 1. Replace the electro-hydraulic control unit (EHS), the oil pan, and the transmission fluid. - Ensure all oil guide pipes are installed in the new valve body to prevent a new concern after replacement. (See attached location guide)
