SummarySome vehicles may exhibit the warning messages "Safety and Driver Support Systems Temporarily Disabled" or "Front Radar Obscured. Drive Safely." displayed in the instrument cluster despite no dirt on the front radar sensor while driving in specific locations as follows: - Roads with continuous elevated road ways on one side or tall walls on one side - Inside tunnels with an overall rounded shape - Roads with no reflective objects around This is caused by inappropriate decision logic of the control software in the front radar sensor. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the front radar sensor has been modified.

Due to the nature of the EV's air conditioning system of using a heat pump, there is a sudden change in the refrigerant flow path that can cause a sudden pressure difference when switching between heating and cooling that can result in a strange clanking noise. As a countermeasure, an interval is set for the time it takes to switch between heating and cooling. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the heat pump control unit has been modified to shorten the switching time between heating and cooling.

SummaryMazda3 and CX-30: Prior to February 8, 2022, some vehicles may store DTC U0300:57 (Body control module (BCM) internal malfunction) and cannot be erased after a BCM replacement or MDARS BCM software update (NOT with BCM update for SSPC5 or 4621B using MDRT). This is caused by a BCM-VCM software error. MX-30: Some MX-30 vehicles may store DTC U0300:57 (Body control module (BCM) internal malfunction) and cannot be erased after a BCM replacement or MDARS BCM software update. This is caused by a BCM-VCM software error. Mazda is aware of the issue and is working on a resolution. If there is an issue with this concern, Mazda recommends putting customer in a loaner vehicle at this time. *DO NOT perform BCM software update with MDARS until further notice. *This SA will be updated with the newest repair information as it becomes available.
