I purchased a Mazda CX-30 October 2021 - in April of 2022 the oil light came on mileage 4,672 and I decided to have just have the oil changed at Hello Mazda of San Diego. They said they wouldn't charge me for the oil only the service charge. And mentioned that something is wrong and will top the oil off at no charge in the future. Last month in November I took a short trip to Tucson AZ to visit family the oil light came on once again mileage 10,079 I brought the car into Jim Click Mazda Tucson and after several hours I got the car back. They had topped off the oil with no charge. I asked how low the oil was. The service man quickly said just a little low under a quart. I didn't want to argue with him- but I checked the oil stick, and it was below a quart and I know a light most likely won't come on without it being at least a quart low.

The sunroof exploded while driving. If the inner shield hadnt been up the glass would have fallen on 2 people and a dog. The explosion was so loud my left ear is hurting. Nothing dropped on the sunroof. It exploded upwards. We thought our car had been shot.

The car's battery has failed two times. The second time is after the battery was replaced -- so the problem was with two different batteries. Both times, I had to call & wait for roadside assistance. Dangerous situation. Both times, the car required a jump-start then a full charge. The dealer denies a battery problem or electrical system problem. However, a Mazda Roadside Assistance service provided advised me on 12/3/2022 that the (second) battery was dead and that something in the electrical system is clearly draining the battery. The car is driven every day. *** Several times a week there is a dashboard notice of "low battery risk". *** This has been consistent, starting with the first week of owning the car. It appears that something(s) in the electrical system is draining the battery to the point of failure. The car is 18 months old with @ 16,500 miles driven. It is a 2021 Mazda CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus. It is available for inspection.

Was driving on interstate, during the afternoon, not close to any other traffic ahead. It was neither raining nor particularly windy. I heard a very loud “explosion” sound, like a gunshot. I pulled over and my sunroof is bowed OUTWARD a little, and missing a big section of glass. There is no rock or debris laying on the interior screen, and the sunroof is NOT concave like from an impact. It is clearly blown upward.

The Low Oil Level light/sensor came on before it was time to get an oil change (the recommended 4600 miles). This is super dangerous as it can cause major engine issues. I took it to the dealership and the dealership stated "they are having problems with these cars-they are burning too much oil so there is going to be a replacement valve once they have one made and you'll need to come back in to have it replaced -it will be a big job since it's part of the engine".

Purchased Mazda CX-30 Turbo car new March 31, 2021, in Jan 2022 low oil light came on with only 5,000 miles. Dealer noted it was 1 qt low. Just prior to reaching 10,000 miles the low oil light came on again. This car is burning oil with normal driving; primarily from rural area into town 15 min away or freeway driving. This creates an unsafe situation with parts and engine failure.

Low Engine Oil displayed on dashboard after only a couple thousand miles/four months from last oil change service. Known issue with this year/model for a year (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10203724-0001.pdf), but no recall or fix has been offered other than topping off or changing the oil. The dealer did top off the oil for free as the notice says.

The windshield is wavy. I don't know if it is the shape of the window, but very hard to see it of. Several owners have the same problem in online forums. Can't drive my vehicle long distances because I get extreme headaches, and visibility is decreased.

Notable distortion in the windshield horizontally through driver and passenger areas. Dealership has been helpful in replacing the windshield three times thus far. The most recent windshield is clearer but still with notable distortion and is considered an aftermarket windshield. Mazda is aware of the issue and was told they are giving pushback on replacements. This issue is noted numerous times on multiple Mazda forums with no solution. From conversations with the dealership, Mazda is claiming this is normal especially close to the pillars due to vehicle design. This issue causes driver fatigue and distance perception problems while driving which is considered a road safety concern. Paperwork and vehicle are available for inspection upon request.

I took delivery of a 2022 Mazda CX-30 recently, and noticed that the windshield was very distorted. Moving my head caused the image to shift in unexpected ways. The windshield was noticeably wavy and caused double vision. The dealer replaced the windshield, but the replacement is also noticeably wavy, with an almost orange peel look through the new windshield. The new windshield also distorts the active driving display as well, which was not apparent on the original. When I complained about the replacement, the dealer's service manager said that what I am experiencing is "normal", and that "all CX-30s are this way", even though he previously admitted that he had never seen it before, and that the CX-50 he was driving did not have this issue at all. I see that Mazda has a technical service bulletin for this problem for older model CX-30s. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10203731-0001.pdf It seems that Mazda has not fixed this issue, as it is very noticeable on my 2022 model CX-30. I can understand that glass will be refractive under extreme angles, but this is when I'm looking directly ahead. If I move my head at all, the image bends and distorts. Unfortunately, the issue does not lend itself well to photos, as it is most noticeable when you have both eyes open (two eyes see through the glass at slightly different angles and points on the glass). If I close one eye, I no longer get double vision, but I doubt that's the safest way to drive.

I am constantly receiving a “Low Battery Voltage Warning” for reasons as simple as leaving my door or trunk open for 10 minutes. I never leave my car in accessory mode to play music or anything that might drain the battery. It happens several times a month for no reason. I have not had it die on me yet, but I don’t know if it’s actually a low battery or software glitch.

Purchased this car on Saturday August 13th from a dealer. Last weekend on the 20th the low engine level warning came on. We checked the oil and it was at the lowest dot on the dipstick. We added one quart of oil. This car isn't even due for an oil change it shouldn't be losing any oil.

Losing/burning oil with no leaking - less than 8,000 miles. Mazda has issued a service bulletin on the issue but offers no actual repair solution. Could be dangerous if engine seizes while in operation.

I purchased a new 2022 Mazda CX-30 in early 2022. While driving home from out of state recently, a low oil warning light popped up on the dash. I immediately pulled over and checked the level to find only 2-3mm of coverage on the dipstick, well below the safe range. I topped the engine off with a full quart of oil. The vehicle only had 68xx miles on it when this happened.
