SummarySome 2024-2025 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a grunt-type noise from the front brakes during initial brake applications that goes away after the brakes warm-up. A video demonstrating this condition is available on PTS for 2024-2025 Nautilus under the Service Tips Tab > Reference Guides > Front Brake Grunt Video. For vehicles that exhibit a noise comparable to the video only, refer to the following direction depending on vehicle build date.<br /><br /> * Vehicles built on or before 13-Jun-2024, that have previously had front disc brake rotors replaced with part number PZ1Z-1125-B: Engineering is investigating further brake noise improvements with a solution targeted for late Q4 2025. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service should be expected to impact this condition at this time.<br /><br /> * Vehicles built on or before 13-Jun-2024, that have not had front brake service: replace both front brake disc rotors with part number PZ1Z-1125-B. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-03 Front Disc Brake > Removal and Installation.

SummarySome 2024-2025 Escape Hybrid/Maverick Hybrid/Nautilus Hybrid/F-150 non-Lightning/F-Super Duty/Bronco and 2025 Expedition/Navigator/Ranger vehicles where customers have installed an aftermarket supplemental braking system may experience a discharged 12-volt battery after recreational towing. This may be due to the supplemental braking system keeping the vehicle awake during brake applications. Advise customers that while recreational towing the vehicle with a supplemental braking system installed, it is recommended to use a 12-volt battery charger connected to a power source external to the vehicle being towed. The Owners Manual is in process of being updated with this information.

SummarySome 2024-2025 Nautilus and 2025 Explorer/Aviator/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience may exhibit a "Map Source Not Available" message on the instrument panel cluster display (IPC) when using Google Maps via Apple CarPlay®. Google Maps does not yet support displaying the navigation map on the IPC within the Apple CarPlay® environment and this is currently the expected behavior. Replacing or reprogramming the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) will not resolve this condition and no diagnosis or repair is necessary. Inform the customer that a future Google Maps update for iPhone is anticipated to enable this functionality. This update will be delivered directly through the Google Maps app on their iPhone and will not require an over the air (OTA) software update or dealership visit.

SummarySome 2024-2025 Nautilus and 2025 Aviator vehicles equipped with a 12 channel DSP (minor feature code IDBAV for Nautilus or IDBBJ for Aviator) may exhibit a no audio/sound concern or programmable module installation (PMI) incomplete on a replacement DSP. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This concern may be due to software in the DSP. For vehicles with a no sound concern, reprogram the DSP using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. If the no sound concern continues, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 for further diagnosis. For error messages during PMI of a replacement DSP, attempt PMI again using the latest software level of the FDRS scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 18B849 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.
