FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
While driving on a large 4 lane highway, using the adaptive cruise control, the car automatically applied the brakes with no visible obstruction. From what I remember, no collision alarm or warning was given. Car rapidly decelerated, until I overrode by applying the gas. This happened three times, on the same road. Twice on one trip, and a third time a week later. All false activations occurred while road was at slight curve.

On Saturday, [XXX], while driving my 2021 Kia Telluride [XXX} from Laredo to San Antonio, Texas, my husband (passenger) and I (driver) heard a loud, explosion-like sound. This made me swerve onto the other traveling lane. Thank God there were no vehicle near us or next to us because it would have been catastrophic. We quickly realized that our sunroof had exploded/shattered as we could hear all the shattered glass being blown away. Luckily, the sliding sunroof panel was closed and no glass went inside our vehicle. These must definitely get investigated since it is a public safety issue. Upon doing research, we learned that there are several other people that have experience this same issue with Kia Tellurides and it’s windshield/sunroof quality. I note that there was no vehicles near us and we were traveling 75 mph. Kia needs to recall this ASAP before there is a fatality! Battery indicator began intermittently flashing on the dash. Then the car shut off mid turn in an intersection with my young kids in the car. Everything shut off without warning including power steering, ABS and so on. Luckily no one crashed into the car

I purchased a new 2023 telluride-SX in April 2023. For the first time since owning the vehicle, I used the Snow Mode during the snowstorm on 14 March 2024. I then used it again on 15 March 2024. I experienced a serious problem on both days. When I stopped at redlights, I tried to accelerate as I made a turn. I lost all power, and the car came to a near stop, nearly causing an accident by being rear-ended. I quickly switch to the Eco Mode and the power returned to the car. I took the car into Arapahoe KIA, CO service department on 8 April 2024 for an oil change/tire rotation AND to address the issue with the Snow Mode. The Technician said the issue I describe would happen if the snow was deep.(?) I explained that the roads were nearly bare. He then said that they would look at it. He later said that they could not duplicate the malfunction in the Snow Mode and to bring the car in if it happened again. The KIA service department is the only place that supposedly inspected the car for the issue described above. There were no warning lamps, or messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

We were driving on the highway and the sunroof was partially open in the angle as a wind deflector. When the sunroof made a pop noise and started flapping in the wind, we were so concerned that the sunroof is gonna come flying off and hit a car behind us. We end up taping it down and taking it to Kia of Daytona or they told us it was $5000 to repair, they had said the mechanism that holds the window up a plastic finger broke. Apparently they do not manufacture a quality product for something so crucial as such a sunroof, we were so fearful that the sunroof glass part was gonna fly out. We had to drive from Jacksonville, all the way to Daytona, with a flapping in the wind.

I have a few issues: 1. I can be driving on an empty road and I get alerted that I am about to hit someone and it brakes on its own. With no one in sight in either direction. 2. My alarm keeps going off when I leave the vehicle due to motion being detected but no one is in the vehicle and it is locked. 3. POWER TRAIN
The contact owns a 2022 Kia Telluride. The contact stated that the client's vehicle was parked in the driveway and turned off, while the client was reaching into the rear driver-side seat area the vehicle began to erroneously roll backward causing the rear door to make contact with the client, and the client was knocked to the ground. The EMS was called to the scene and the client was transported to the hospital. A police report was taken at the scene. During the incident, the client sustained an injured left leg, injured left side, neck, and back injuries. The client also suffered emotional distress due to the incident. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The client was recently informed of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V214000(Power Train). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced that same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

On two occasions, so far, I have experienced a blank instrument cluster display screen that did not show critical information, including the odometer, transmission gear position, and digital speedometer which could increase the risk of a crash and fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101 The first picture is of the first incident which occurred on [XXX] which shows the blank screen. The second picture was taken on the same date after the screen came back on after driving a short distance and shutting off and restarting the vehicle. The third picture was taken earlier this month on [XXX] showing a new occurrence of a blank screen. Both incidents were reported, including the dates and pictures, when the vehicle was taken to the dealer (Destination Kia in Albany, NY) but the dealer stated that they could do nothing as the problem was not present at the times the vehicle has been there for service and the manufacturer (Kia) indicates that there is no applicable repair or recall to this vehicle. Three pages of a post to a Kia Telluride Owners Facebook page in which an owner posted a picture of a black screen an owner posted yesterday [XXX] showing a picture of the black screen she experienced on her 2022 Telluride and asking if others have experienced this problem. Other forum members responded with their experiences with some saying a cluster replacement was necessary as called for in Recall [XXX] which another responded that a software update resolved the problem per Recall [XXX]. My car was in park and went into reverse with my two kiddos in the car in my driveway. I tried to jump in but the car door knocked me over as the car rolled faster as I was holding my sweet one year old and ended up rolling over my ankle and chest. [XXX] fortunately ended up with a scratch but I ended up with a broken leg and 6 broken ribs, a punctured lung and torn acl. The display in front of the steering wheel when out yesterday. It is completely black. We have only had the vehicle for three months. There is no way to know what speed you are driving, how much fuel you have, see any warnings or anything! The KIA dealer said they can check out the problem next Wednesday, April 3, which is one week from when the problem occurred. This is a major hazard to not know your speed or be able to receive any warnings.

Driving down a road. No other vehicles on the road ahead of me nor coming from the opposite direction. There were no trees or structures overhead. The road had some dips, but nothing overly rough or upsetting. A crack appeared on the right side of the windshield and started to spread. There were no chips or other visible damage on the windshield previous to this incident. The crack as since spread and will have to be replaced.

The instrument panel in front of the driver is black. I’m unable to see the speed limit, warnings, safety or collision warnings, etc. The vehicle is not making any noise or beeping to allude to the fact that there might be an issue but the Kia app is stating that there is an issue. I have used the vehicle yesterday 3/23/24 with no issues and when I went to drive this morning (3/24/24) it’s not working.

My dashboard keeps producing these errors 1. Check lane change assist 2. Check blind sport safety system 3. Check forward safety system 4. Check parking collision avoidance assist system 5. Check lane safety system Also, My engine light is on and it’s not shifting right and I can’t drive it now. There's also a burning rubber smell. The driving speed isn't working correctly and will say I'm going 0mph when I'm going 25. When driving, it sometimes jolts.
