The shift lever detent damperâÂÂs angled design may cause interference between the detent damper and the shift lever Park 'P' switch resulting in the Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU) not registering 'P'. This can render the Remote Start function inoperative when either using the key fob or Kia Access App.

Kia is advising that the new OLMS maintenance reminder feature be enabled on all applicable 2023MY and later vehicles. The OLMS monitors deterioration data factors such as engine rpm, engine load, engine oil temperature and evaluates conditions such as short distance driving in cold weather, high-temperature uphill driving, and long-term idle. The 'Service Interval' (Time and Mileage) option in the Cluster settings may still be available on vehicles equipped with the new OLMS feature for customer use. During vehicle PDI, OLMS is set (100%) from the factory and not required to be reset.
