Because I bought the car used in June of this year, around July, the driver's and passenger's side airbag warning lights on the display panel started flashing, then disappeared after a few days. After August, they kept flashing and then stopped altogether. I took it to an Infiniti dealership for inspection, and the mechanic reported that the airbag sensors were malfunctioning and there was no connection between the airbags and the computer system platform, and that other problems might even be discovered during the repair process. This result seriously affects my driving safety, and I believe it's a quality issue with the car's performance, not a problem caused by driving a used car.

Differential failed and leaking fluid - premature failure. Yes, part will be available, and repair diagnosed by Kendall Inifiniti of Nampa dealership. In process of review by manufacturer district area manager. No warning, no messages, no smells, nada - took auto in for scheduled 60,000 mile service at dealer and provided $4,100 estimate for repair - see attached. Vehicle experiences noticeable vibration or rough idle when in Drive at stop, especially after warm-up. The issue persists despite regular maintenance and oil changes. Multiple owners report similar symptoms in 2022–2025 Infiniti QX60 models. The 2025 QX60 uses a new engine that has already been recalled in other Infiniti models due to similar issues. However, there has been no recall or official repair action issued for the 2025 QX60, even though the same engine and symptoms are present. Possible engine mount or idle control defect.

The vehicle will randomly lurch forward quite a few inches after being placed in park - and even after the door has been opened, regardless of whether the car is parked on flat ground or on an incline, and regardless of whether the emergency brake is engaged. I have noticed this predominantly when backing into a parking spot and then having to shift from reverse to park. I reverse into a parking spot in a parking garage daily and have to ensure that no people or cars are walking/driving by before I put my car in park, which is both unsafe and ridiculous. The dealer could not replicate the issue when they looked at the car so nothing was done. Invoice is attached and video evidence can be provided upon request.

I've had multiple instances of electrical "shorts" with the vehicle resulting in the sonar system setting off warnings while driving on the highway and having to be replaced twice; the driver mirror shorted and had to be replaced; for a period of months, I would put my belongings in the passenger seat of my vehicle and by the time I got to the driver side of the vehicle, it would lock on me, or I would put it in the back seat, and by the time I exited the driver's side door, the back left door would lock on me (fortunately it was just a work bag and not a child) because the left door lock shorted; and various components of the trunk have shorted on multiple occasions causing the trunk to open a few inches and then snap shut. I have videos of the foregoing in addition to the attached documentation.

Our granddaughter was in the 3rd row seat with a seat belt. We think she put the shoulder part behind her back. After she unbuckled, she tried to exit but the seat belt ILR locked her in. The seat belt wrapped around her waist and locked her in. She could not move - or get out. We tried for 30 mins and finally cut the seat belt. If we had had an accident, we could not have gotten her out. Pictures/video's can be downloaded:Here is a link to the Video’s and Pictures. 2022 QX60 equipped with a Panoramic Moonroof. While in Florida 850 miles from home, I was traveling alone at about 35mph when I heard a loud explosion. It sounded like a gun shot at close range. I kept driving but observed my surroundings and there was no traffic, no construction, nothing overhead, no warning lights. When I got to my destination a couple miles away, I inspected the vehicle, fully expecting to see a bullet hole or shattered rear window from a bullet. What I found was the front moonroof had shattered and mostly still intact. It had blown up and out and not inward as it would if it were hit with a projectile. I contacted the nearest Infiniti dealer in Mobile Alabama 100 miles away, but they couldn’t look at it for at least 3 weeks. I covered the moonroof with heavy plastic and duct tape to keep the elements out of the vehicle and keep the moonroof intact as much as possible to help with Infiniti’s investigation. The cullet that had fallen into the sunshade was vacuumed up and kept also. After a tense 850 mile drive home, at times in torrential downpours, I contacted our local Infiniti dealer who wanted to inspect the vehicle. They informed me that their investigation could not determine a cause, but they did know it was not a warranty issue and denied it. I had the moonroof replaced by a local glass repair shop and then had to take it to a body shop to have the headliner dropped so cullet could be removed. I talked to numerous Infiniti representatives throughout this process, and everyone asked if I filed an insurance claim, I had not. Insurance should not have to pay for a manufacturer's defect that is still under warranty. As an Engineer for a tier one auto supplier that manufactures automotive safety glass for most major automobile companies, I can say with a high degree of certainty this was due to a manufacturer's defect or a design flaw. Due to the circumstances at the time, Nickel sulfide (NiS) inclusion is the most likely cause.

The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving 25-30 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and failed to accelerate as intended upon depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that upon shifting into reverse(R) and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to reverse and drove forward instead. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that the VIN was included in Infiniti Campaign Number: PC501. The manufacturer scheduled an appointment with the dealer on the contact's behalf. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and the dealer informed the contact that the TCM software was updated; however, the failure persisted. The Service Advisor at the dealer informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The regional manager was contacted and informed the contact that the dealer had stated that the service campaign had not been performed, and the vehicle had not been diagnosed. The contact was informed that no assistance would be provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

As The vehicles drive it will intermittently lose power. This is continuous problem ever since 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The power loss can last for 1 sec or most recently up to about 3 to 4 secs. The other day I had to pull over after the vehicle lost power and wait two minutes before starting back on the drive. When it loses power, the power steering goes out and if approaching a turn and/or a decent curve in the road, that can be very hazardous. I Believe this is a huge safety concern and many people have experienced the same malfunctions.

The car died suddenly while driving. The battery is only a few months old. Prior to dying a few warning lamps suddenly came on but there was no prior warning. The engine did not overheat, there was no smoke, or check engine light until the car suddenly died. I have been advised that I need a new engine. I have been researching and it appears many others have similar issues with their Infiniti engines. Its [XXX] Please look into this. It’s odd to me that so many folks engines have died at what is actually low mileage. It’s also pretty frustrating and depressing, the repairs can go up to the cost of a new vehicle, when this appears to be a design flaw. I’m starting to meet way to many folks whose Infiniti or Nissan suddenly needs a new trans or engine as soon as the warranty ends. - #11680856August 15, 2025STEERING, WHEELS, SUSPENSION
To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report a safety-related defect involving my leased Infiniti vehicle, serviced at Edison Infiniti in New Jersey on August 1, 2025. Despite reporting excessive tire wear and a persistent pull to the right, the dealership concluded that the alignment was within factory specifications and attributed the damage solely to a lack of tire rotation. Based on this assessment, I paid out of pocket for a wheel alignment and replacement tires. However, the condition of the removed front tires tells a different story. The tires show extreme treadwear down to the internal cords, a clear indication of prolonged misalignment or defective suspension geometry. This level of degradation is not consistent with normal wear and tear on a vehicle with fewer than 17,000 miles. It compromised steering control and posed a serious safety risk, making it difficult to maintain lane position and safe handling. I believe this issue may reflect a broader defect in alignment or suspension geometry that could affect other vehicles of the same make and model. I have attempted resolution through the dealership and Infiniti Consumer Affairs without success. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect and advise on next steps.

I purchased a brand-new vehicle(2025 Infiniti QX60) from Infiniti of Omaha (18201 Burt St, Elkhorn, NE 68022) and have experienced persistent issues with the vehicle shaking/swaying at higher speeds. The dealership has acknowledged the problem and raised it with Infiniti, but the manufacturer claims the issue is due to road conditions in Omaha rather than a defect with the vehicle. Infiniti corporate sent a technician and states it’s because of the roads in Omaha Nebraska. Even though the 2014 Infiniti QX60 I had for 10 years, drove on the same roads, did not have this problem. Infiniti of Omaha's service department has confirmed that my vehicle does, in fact, have issues and has attempted to fix it twice. They also indicated that similar problems are occurring with other vehicles that have the same specifications as mine. They have replaced the tires, which has helped on at slower speeds. At higher speeds, I still do not feel safe in my vehicle. Despite this, the dealership is stating they cannot assist further because it is considered a manufacturer issue. As it stands, I’m left with a $70,000 vehicle that is unsafe to drive at highway speeds, and the dealership refuses to stand behind the product they sold me. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Our 2022 Infiniti QX60 was brought in at Infiniti Service Center for regular oil change. The car had 29,564 miles. After the service, I was deciding whether to take the highway or the local route. I thought of stopping by the church, so I decided to take the local route. After driving for 4.2 miles on a road with cars moving at 45 mph, our QX60 suddenly just stalled. The car cannot be started. Dashboard lights were fading. It was good hazard lights were still blinking. It was a terrifying experience seeing how fast cars & trailer trucks were going behind us. We had to call 911 to have a police car go behind us & avoid oncoming traffic colliding & piling on our car. We called Infiniti Roadside Assistance to help us get a towing truck to bring the car back to service. The service center said that they will change the fuel injector. Take note that QX60 has had stalling issues in the past even with earlier models. Please see all the forums & complaints. We had a 2019 QX60 that just stalled after I made a U-turn on a busy street. Thank God, we are still alive after that incident. Infiniti did not find any issues when it was escalated to them. We escalated the current issue on our 2022 QX60 to Orlando Infiniti dealership & wanted to talk to the manager. Instead of a manager, we were directed to an Infiniti salesman who related his own story of having the same exact experience with his QX60 while he was driving on a 70-mph highway. He was hard selling the 2026 Infiniti QX60 supposedly addressing the stalling issues. Instead of getting the appropriate level of management to get our issue relayed, Infiniti was trying to make money out of our traumatic experience. Based on written professional reviews, there is no evidence that the changes in the 2026 Infiniti QX60 address the stalling issues in the current & previous models. We are stock to our leased QX60 that we refused to drive until November 2025. We are not risking our life by driving this car again.

The contact owns a 2024 Infiniti QX60. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle experienced electronic malfunctions with unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the dipstick was not properly in place. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that on another occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the system malfunction message was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the same local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but another failure occurred. The contact stated that the smoke alarm had alerted her to an issue. While the vehicle was parked in the garage and unattended, the engine overheated. The Fire Department was called to the scene and detected smoke coming from the engine. The internal temperature of the vehicle was 168 degrees. The vehicle was towed to the same local dealer, who determined that the vehicle had overheated, and the vehicle should be picked up. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an ongoing issue with my 2025 Infiniti QX60, which is equipped with the VC-Turbo engine. I have noticed an abnormal engine vibration while the vehicle is idling, such as when waiting at traffic lights or during stop-and-go driving. I am concerned because this issue appears to be related to the same VC-Turbo engine that is included in the recent recall for various Nissan and Infiniti models, including the Nissan Rogue, Altima, Infiniti QX50, and QX55, manufactured between 2019 and 2024. However, my 2025 Infiniti QX60, which uses the same engine type, was not included in the recall. The vibration issue has caused me significant concern about the safety and reliability of my vehicle. Given that the recall addresses engine failures and related risks in the affected models, I believe that my vehicle should be included in the recall as well, as it uses the same engine type and exhibits similar issues. I kindly request that NHTSA review this matter and include the 2025 Infiniti QX60 in the ongoing recall for VC-Turbo engines. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide in addressing this concern and ensuring the safety of my vehicle.
