While driving, the infotainment screen (to the right of the driver) begins to flicker. Often if turns completely black and reboots. On at least one occasion, it did not come back on at all for the remainder of the trip. The flickering movement is extremely distracting. The loss of navigation is obviously a problem if you don't know where you are and were relying on it. It is dangerous, could result in injury or death, and should trigger a recall. Hyundai dealerships have NO IDEA how to fix it. They replaced the entire screen module, which did not make a bit of difference.

Two instances of the center screen malfunctioning. One was an intermittent blip of the screen turning black and then turning back on while driving. Additionally, during this same instance of the intermittent blip of the screen turning off for about 3 seconds, my headlights which are set to auto also turned off while I was driving at night and then blipped back on when the screen came back at the same time. Second instance, the center screen was black and never came on when the car was initially turned on and the screen remained black for the entirety of my drive until the car was fully turned off and then back on. Yes, this is available for inspection upon request. Safety was put at risk by losing headlight visibility at night highly increasing the chances of an accident as well as losing important carplay navigational directions on center screen. Problem has been reproduced as these issues both occurred within one week (the week of August 16-23, 2026). The vehicle has not been inspected. During the time of both events there were no warning lamps or messages that appeared.

The instrument cluster malfunctioned suddenly leaving the control panel completely black (no odometer, speedometer, speed range, turn signal indicators, etc.). The driver was therefore unable to know what speed they were driving, how much fuel remained, and lacked any sort of signal that turn signals/blinkers were on or off. It was unsafe to drive and impossible to accurately comply with legal speed limits. Local Hyundai dealership inspected the car and confirmed that the cluster had to be replaced, which they did (required 11 total days of being unable to use the car).

My 2025 Hyundai Tucson (VIN [XXX]) has been out of service since [XXX] (over 60 days) at CMA’s Colonial Hyundai in South Chesterfield, Virginia, waiting for a front camera related to safety Recall 302 (NHTSA Campaign 26V316 – Front View Camera FCA Update). The dealership previously replaced the front camera, but the issue was not resolved. They then ordered a new camera that remains on backorder with no firm ETA. I have been provided a rental during this time. Hyundai assigned Case #[XXX]. I have provided formal written notice under Virginia lemon law demanding a buyback because the vehicle has been out of service far beyond the 30-day threshold. The safety-related defect remains unrepaired. COMPONENT: Infotainment main display screen. Still installed and available for inspection. FAILURE: The screen intermittently flickers, then goes blank with static. Occurs at unpredictable intervals including while driving. Ongoing and unrepaired. SAFETY RISK: The display is centered in the dashboard and houses the backup camera and vehicle controls. Flickering and static while driving creates a visual distraction, and the backup camera is unavailable when the screen goes blank. The malfunction now occurs often enough that it interferes with normal driving. REPRODUCED BY DEALER: Not reproduced during any service visit. Reported to three Hyundai dealerships: Pedder Hyundai, San Diego (May 2025): could not replicate, but accepted my video evidence and ordered parts. I relocated before the repair was completed. Hyundai Mountain View, CA ([XXX]): could not replicate. Declined to perform a diagnostic or open a warranty claim despite the same video evidence. Stevens Creek Hyundai, Santa Clara (Invoice [XXX], Aug 18-20 2026): road tested, unable to verify. Found stored code c2a2397, history in front camera menu. Infotainment software at current level. Road tested 94 miles without recurrence. Technician wrote: "If issue re-occurs, we recommend returning the vehicle to us for further diagnosis." No cause identified, no repair performed. Charged $315. I have provided video of the screen failing while driving to the dealerships and to Hyundai Motor America. INSPECTED BY MANUFACTURER: Inspected by the three dealerships above. Case opened with Hyundai Motor America Consumer Assistance in June 2026, unresolved with no written determination. Not inspected by police or insurance. WARNING LAMPS: None. No dashboard messages accompany the failure and it occurs without prior indication. First observed approximately May 2025, within weeks of delivery (delivered [XXX]). Current mileage 21,389. - #11758256August 20, 2026VISIBILITY/WIPER
The windshield wipers will only go up once they have fully gone down all the way. Therefore, when snow (or something else) gets stuck below the windshield wipers while they are in use, they cannot go all the way down, and they will therefore not go back up again. The wipers become inoperable while trying to complete their cycle, and stay stuck in place creating extremely unsafe conditions. This incident occurred numerous times while in the snow, where a large chunk of snow or ice prevented the wipers from going all the way down, and the wipers would not work to remove additional falling snow until I pulled over and cleared the area below the wipers. I contacted HyundaiUSA and they said I had to go to dealer to address this issue, but the problem is not a manufacturing problem or broken part with my car, it is a design flaw that significantly impacts safety.

- #11757639August 18, 2026LANE DEPARTURE: LANE KEEP: AUTOMATIC STEERING
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the lane assist suddenly steered the vehicle to the right while the road was curving to the left. The contact manually steered the vehicle to avoid a crash. The contact learned that the lane assist feature only activated while driving between 40 and 120 MPH; however, while accelerating and decelerating due to winding roads, the Lane Assist System failed to properly communicate and direct the vehicle, which the contact associated with the failure. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had been previously reprogrammed by the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 8,500.

Previously reported issues to dealership about issues with instrument cluster going black and had it brought in for recalled software updates. Received paperwork stating completion of Campaign 302 and 304 on July 18th, 2026. While driving on the interstate on August 13, 2026 I had the cruise control, lane assist, and steering assist active. The instrument cluster went completely black and at the same time I experienced unusual steering behavior which led to me going into the next lane and hitting another vehicle.

Vehicle: 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Mileage: Approximately 14,500 miles Tire: Original factory-installed 235/60R18 Incident Date: August 13, 2026 Time: Approximately 2:24 PM Location: US 751 near Garrett Road, North Carolina Injuries: None At approximately 2:24 PM on August 13, 2026, a 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL with approximately 14,500 miles experienced a sudden front driver’s-side tire blowout while being driven on US 751 near Garrett Road in North Carolina. The vehicle was equipped with the original factory-installed 235/60R18 tires. The tire failed suddenly while the vehicle was being driven, creating a significant safety concern and potential loss of vehicle control. No injuries were reported. I went to the location to assist. Initially, I believed the damage was limited to the tire. The damaged tire was replaced so the vehicle could be driven safely, and the tires were subsequently replaced at a tire shop. After the incident, an unusual and persistent noise developed from the front driver’s-side area. Because the noise continued after the tire replacement, the vehicle was taken to a repair facility for further inspection. The vehicle is currently at the repair facility, and I am waiting for the inspection and repair findings. I do not yet have the mechanic’s final diagnosis regarding the source of the noise or whether there is additional mechanical damage. The front driver’s-side wheel/rim also sustained visible scratches and damage during the incident. I have photographs documenting the damaged tire and wheel, although the original damaged tire has already been replaced and is no longer in my possession. Given that the vehicle had only approximately 14,500 miles and the tire was an original factory-installed tire, I am concerned about the safety implications of a sudden tire failure on a relatively new vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to NHTSA so that this incident can be documented and evaluated for any potential safety issue or pattern involving t

- #11755663August 8, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
My 2025 Hyundai Tucson required the front brake rotors to be resurfaced at approximately 12,200 miles. The Hyundai dealership diagnosed the rotors as overheated and warped, despite the brake pads being in good condition. The repair occurred before Hyundai issued Recall 302 (NHTSA Recall 26V-316). Hyundai Recall 302 identifies a defect in the Forward Collision-Avoidance (FCA) system’s front-camera software that can cause the FCA system to engage earlier than expected and potentially result in sudden braking. Hyundai’s FCA system is capable of automatically applying the brakes. I am concerned that premature or unintended brake application associated with this recalled software condition may have contributed to excessive brake heat and premature overheating/warping of my front rotors. I am NOT claiming that this causal relationship has been established. Rather, I am reporting a potential safety defect and asking NHTSA to evaluate whether there may be a relationship. The dealership confirmed that the rotors were overheated/warped but characterized the condition as wear and tear. Hyundai Motor America subsequently denied my reimbursement request on the same basis. I have repeatedly asked Hyundai to evaluate whether Recall 302 could have contributed to the brake condition, but Hyundai has not acknowledged or technically addressed this potential relationship. The original rotors are no longer available for inspection because they were resurfaced during the repair. The dealership performed and documented the diagnosis and repair. I am submitting this complaint because I believe the combination of premature rotor overheating/warping at only 12,200 miles and a subsequently identified FCA defect involving unexpected braking warrants investigation.

- #11755414August 7, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) warning light was intermittently illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and attributed the issue to inclement weather. The contact stated that while stopped, the vehicle was rear-ended because the brake lights failed to illuminate. The contact sustained lower back and shoulder injuries, was transported by ambulance to the hospital, and required ongoing injection treatments. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and repaired for rear-end and passenger-side damages; however, the cause of the brake lights' failure was not determined. Additionally, the contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop at a traffic light, the vehicle stalled and was struck on the front driver's side by another vehicle. The crash caused the vehicle to spin, and the front end detached. The air bags failed to deploy, and a system failure message was displayed. The contact sought medical attention the following day. The contact sustained a dislodged left thumb bone which required surgery, a cast, and injections for left arm pain, as well as shoulder, neck, hip, and aggravated lower back pain. A Police report was filed. The second failure had occurred at [XXX]. The vehicle was towed to the auto body shop at the dealer and repaired; however, neither the dealer nor the insurance adjuster determined the cause of the vehicle stalling. The contact associated the failure with an unknown recall notification. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was unknown. - #11755123August 5, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
I have a eye condition called Strabismus/ lazy eye that I've had for most of my life. I've learned to live with it quite well. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, roughly 4% of the U.S. adult population has Strabismus.. My previous vehicle (Genesis G70) had the Lane Keep feature that I used all the time. Now when I drive my new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybred on the highway with cruise control, I can't use "Lane Keep Assist" (on the steering wheel) because within a few seconds it will give WARNING-EYES ON THE ROAD, BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL then go into emergency stop while I am staring straight ahead and have both hands on the wheel. - - Also, if I am driving on a Interstate highway, the Lane Keep Assist comes on automatically as soon as I engage Cruise control, I have to turn off Lane Keep or within a few seconds, the emergency shutdown begins. I have to turn it off every time I re-engage Cruise control. The first time this happened I was driving in heavy traffic on I-20 outside of [XXX]. I had to maneuver thru 2 lanes of traffic before the vehicle completely stopped. I continued on without cruise control until I arrived home. After several tests it was decided that it was my eyes. I had the Hyundai service investigate but had no fix for the issue. The Lane Keep feature was always on in my 2019 Genesis G70 which was a nice feature and now with my new Tucson, I can't use it. I'm going backward with my safety features on vehicles. There must be some way to modify this to accommodate my condition and get back to the level of vehicle safety that I once had without trading down to a older vehicle. - - Hyundai case file XXX. - #11754849August 4, 2026BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The car detects phantom blind spot alerts even after the camera update. It happens based on front and rear cameras. When the car falsely alerts it fully locks up the breaks and steering until the fault clears. It happened yesterday trying to pull out of a street side parking space. There were no oncoming cars, but the car fully alerted and locked up. It happened in rush hour traffic when trying to pull to the side for an emergency vehicle alerting and causing the car to fully lock up and delay moving aside for an emergency vehicle, and it happened trying to pull into a parking lot in a line of other vehicles also pulling into the lot (school pickup line). Every time it does this it fully alerts and locks up brakes and steering. There's no predicting when it will happen.

This is not the first situation NOR the first time it is being "fixed". I took my car in early March for an oil change and informed the representative about the same thing. The time that made me say something is when I was switching lanes and the car must have sensed me being close causing me to stop completely and the car behind me having to hard break and swerve. Rick Case Hyundai in Duluth, Georgia had my car for a MONTH, just for me to experience the same thing over 3 times since then. I received my car in April, and the recall for this wasn't put out until May. I am constantly scared for my life and the passengers I may have lives, as well as the other drivers lives, considering I got this car due to being in a rear end collision. When I took it in April, they CONSTANTLY, drove my car to diagnose it but kept telling me they didn't see the problem, and it wasn't coming up for them on their internal tracking system for their cars(webDCS). Once they finally talked to the CORPORATE field technician, they advised they replace the whole front bumper, including sensors, for the solution. But like stated before, since then I have experienced near crash stops AT LEAST 3 times since then, two of them being in the same month (July 16 and July 28). If this is the same solution, I don't see it being beneficial and I would like to be bought out at this point. Especially if I have to be without my car for a long period of time again.
