When I start off I give my car gas but it does not want to speed up. The rpm drops to 2 and does not move as I push the gas to go to get out of the way of traffic behind me. It goes about 600 ft before it kicks in. Then it runs normal. It's still under manufacture warrenty (3 more years and 20000 more miles unde warrenty). I've taken it to the dealership and they didn't see anything. Said they would have to keep it a couple of days to check it out. It's my only means of transportation but the never have a loner car for me to use till I get mine back. I've seen others with same complaint so why is there no recall. Afraid I'm gonna get hit in the rear due to lack of power. Doesn't do it everyday but has happened twice in two weeks when I've pulled out onto a major highway with heavy traffic. I bought the car used in Jan.2023 with warrenty still on the car. Thought hey great deal! But now I think I bought a lemon.

The car is very hard to keep in a straight line going down the road. Constant inputs have to be given to keep the wheel at center as the wheel will not re-center after small inputs (I.e. changing lanes, gentle curves in road, etc.). I feel it is a safety hazard

The vehicle's engine light has been coming on for the past 3 years(2020-2023). I had multiple engine servicing checks done at the Hyundai dealership, but the dealership continued to say that there was nothing wrong with the car until this year 2023. Starting 2023 when I would drive, the engine oil light started flashing on and off and the car kept cutting off at stops AND while driving, which can cause accidents leading to death. In 2023 I started noticing that the oil kept being low, but it did not have an oil leak, it was like the oil was vanishing. Now the same Hyundia dealership claims that reason the oil light flashes on is because engine oil is going into the engine which can cause a fire to the car resulting in death. There are also a multiple lawsuits about Hyundai engines catching on fire and oil going into the engine but the dealership is claiming that it's not my particular model which I do not believe! At this point I am fearful to drive the car because it will definitely stop while in drive and stop in traffic and I'm afraid of having an accident and someone dying in the car or the car Catching Fire in my driveway or garage. PLEASE HELP these companies should not get away with this knowing MANY of there models have oil/Engine issues!!

- #11526255June 9, 2023ENGINE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
I was driving on the freeway & the engine just cut off. I lost complete power but luckily, I was able to get to the side of the road without any incident. About a month ago, the same thing happened but I was down the street from my house so it wasn't a big deal. The day after, the front collision light went off twice while I was driving. My particular car VIN number is not on the recall list.

THIS IS THE 2ND TIME this happened. On june 6 while driving i put on A C and it did not go on, along with the lights, windshield wipers. I stopped for a doctors appointment and returned in about an hour , the car started , sounded sluggish and the same problem, no AC . lights, windshield wipers. then about 15 minutes later i pulled my car aside, shut it down , started it and all was working properly. It has happened more than once last time was about 2 months ago and i do not know it until i try to use the electrical items. car started up right away. if it was raining, and i stopped for an errand and tried to use the windshield wipers i would be in trouble as i would not be able to drive home.

I noticed around 97k miles that car just died as I turned left out of a parking lot at low speed. Thought nothing of it at first maybe I hit the keys with my knee. Then it happened again at 101k and recurred consistantly always within 1000 miles of an oil change at the scheduled interval in the manual. Then at 117k it did it again but when I started the car it developed a loud knock. I got the car home and took it to my mechanic and they said that the engine would need replaced. This is incredibly dangerous as it happens while traveling at speed and you lose control of power steering and acceleration.

- #11525448June 5, 2023VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was driving on a 40mph speed road at 45 mph and the car stopped accelerating abruptly and remained stuck at 20 mph even thou my foot was on the gas pedal. I had to put the caution lights on and get to the side of the road. I had every car behind me honk and yell when passing by. This could have been a big crash. I have the video of this when I was driving. This happened various times, in December, Feb and last week.

My daughter was driving the car to work. The car accelerated even thou her foot was lightly placed on the gas pedal, it was like pressing the gas pedal to race the car. This happened 4 times on her 4.5 mile drive to work. When she was turning into the parking lot, she had her foot on the brake and the car accelerated again which scared her as she didnt want to crash into the cars in front. I read a lot of such complaints on the hyundai forum. I talked to the dealership service mechanics and they say that they will have to replicate it. This is the first time this has happened in the last 2 years. The contact stated that this information is incorrect and applies to their other VOQ 11525448 for their 2021 Hyundai Elantra. The 2022 Hyundai Elantra has issues with loss of power.

Had a crack on the windshield which was getting larger quickly. There was no damage caused by debris that I was aware of. Spoke to multiple dealerships and they refused to fix or even check if it was a defect. Went through insurance to get the windshield replaced but Safelite said that it was not a damage but most definitely a defective windshield.

Found this vehicle on sale at a area dealership where they are charging $499.99 for a recall that should be done for free per the recall Service Campaign 984 2011-2016MY ELANTRA (MD/UD) UNDERBODY CORROSION PREVENTATIVE SERVICE. I wanted to bring this to someone's attention as in my opinion this is ripping off a potential unaware buyer. This vehicle is only 10 years and would or should still be covered under the recall.
