Auto Idle Stop feature fails and I can not get the engine to start for a few minutes. I get stuck in traffic with horns honking behind me and people mad and passing me in an unsafe manner. I have replaced the battery and have had the battery and starter retested; they are OK. I brought it to Easy Honda, in Houston, and they say they can't find anything wrong, since it only happens intermittently. My problem has existed since I bought the vehicle new. I have 55,000 miles on the vehicle. Also, intermittently, the engine will not crank over when it is a hot engine. I live in Houston, so it is hot a lot. I read that this is a problem with millions of Honda and Acura vehicles. When can we get some help on a fix? Auto has a known defect with headlight condensation ,Honda put out a bulletin sb 23-024 Stating they are aware of this issue.Vehicle had this problem at 38000 miles just outside Their standard 3 year 36000 mile warranty. To repair this Honda dealer stated a price of $1400.00 ,which is a lot of money ,my concern is that failure to fix will lead to other headlight Issues such as burned out bulbs and harness corrosion. Not to mention adding to dim light poor visibility

Hello, I have put 3 batteries in this vehicle so far and it is a 2019 model year. In April, the car died while my wife was stopped at a light in the middle of town. I could not do anything...put it in gear..nothing...could not even open the door locks. I had to crawl into the back of the vehicle over the seats to get to the booster cable in very rear of the car. I was able to boost the battery and get it started after watching 100's of cars drive directly by me and around me while the car was stuck. It was a little dangerous. An automotive shop replaced the battery. the manufacture date on the battery is 2/25. My wife went the start the vehicle today...6-19-25 and the battery was dead again. There is something wrong here! I looked at the website for recalls and the only thing that comes up is the fuel pump recall which I tried to schedule several months ago and they did not have the part. Please make Honda expand this recall and make them responsible for this problem until we are sure it is fixed. This really should be covered at no cost. thank you! At speeds above 55 mph, car will make a noise like paper being torn, followed by a loss of throttle response. This lasts for 3 to 5 seconds, then everything returns to normal. This has happened with the cruise control set, or while under foot control. No warning of any kind show up on the dashboard. We have taken our vehicle to the dealership on May 15 2025. They could find nothing after polling the computer or on multiple road trips. This loss of throttle has occurred six times in the last five months. We will keep a written record of these events as they happen, and pray that nobody gets hurt or dies from this.

At 62,000 a very noticeable gap in steering going left or right become present. As you turn the steering left or right before the tires began to turn a noticeable clanking notice like gears hitting. The action of clanking was repeating every move more noticeable in park while running and off. Same while driving at 30 and below. ASE mechanic stated it was the rack and pinion issue which could lead to a lost in control resulting in a crash. Dealer refuses to fix due being a 2022 not a 2023

The navigation when using apple maps simultaneously tells the driver 2 different sets of directions that do not match. The small screen on the gauge cluster shows incorrect street names that are nowhere near your location, and also tells you incorrect turns. For example, the large navigation screen on the infotainment system will say to make a right turn on the correct street, while the small screen on the gauge cluster will tell the driver to make a left turn an a different street that that the vehicle is not near. Sometimes it will make up random street names. This is dangerous to drivers who are not aware of the problem or forget about it because it causes confusion while driving. This causes the driver to wonder which set of directions to follow, make wrong turns, and look for streets that are not there. This would be especially dangerous to new drivers or elderly drivers. The vehicle was taken to 2 different dealerships for service but neither one of them were able to fix the problem. The dealerships have acknowledged the problem. There are no warnings or messages about the problem. The vehicle is available for inspection and the problem can be easily reproduced 100% of the time.

Today, while backing from my driveway into our residential street, I came to a complete stop and placed the vehicle's transmission from Reverse to Drive and when doing so, the vehicle shut itself off, put itself into park and engaged the parking brake. I was able to re-start the vehicle and it operated as usual. We have an appointment scheduled with our local Honda dealership on 05/19/25 to inspect the vehicle.

Breaking and steering wheel malfunction causing accident on December 20th 2024. Car is currently still at dealership for investigation. My safety was at risk, causing injury to shoulder. Not sure if problem has been reproduced, not confirmed by dealership as of yet. Police reported, insurance company only fix damage, then Vehicle was towed back to dealership for inspection, after being repaired in a different shop. Was called back by dealership to have additional inspection done and was told that my car was going to be refurbished. issues started once my car had hit 10,000 miles, after my first vehicle maintenance expectation. Received multiple systems warning lights, information dealership multiple times and nothing was done until after the accident Still have no car til this day 5/14/25.

2021 car manufactured. 10/2022 car purchased used/certified from Honda dealer. 12/10/2023 Car would not start. All lights not working. Called roadside assistance. While waiting, approximately 30 minutes later, tried starting the vehicle and it started. 12/11/2023 Took the car to the dealership, still under warranty, dealership replaced the battery 5/6/2025 car would not start. Waited approximately 10 minutes, tried starting the vehicle and it started. Dashlights were working, batter light did not come on. 5/6/2025 Took car to the dealership, battery not under warranty. was told they would replace the battery for $400-$500 or I could have a diagnosis performed for $150. I declined both because it has only been 1 year and 5 months since the battery had been replaced. I feel like its another issue and it should be looked into for free. The manager would not meet my request. I left. 5/7/2025 Spoke with another manager at the dealership. Explained the situation. Was told I could bring the car in for a battery test for free. I declined because I didn't want to purchase a battery or other services from the dealership at potentially higher cost than a don-dealership mechanic. 5/8/2025 Brought car to local mechanic. Battery test performed, cranking/starter test performed. Both were in normal ranges. I did not receive any other service at the mechanic. Approx 1/2024 stopped using the auto-idle stop feature due to feeling unsafe at stop lights. Occassionally, when auto-idle goes off then restarts the car feels like it is struggling to restart and dashlights briefly dim. I now manually turn off this feature each time I drive. These problems have been reported to the dealership, Holler Honda. The problems have not been reproduced or confirmed at the dealership because they have only happened twice. The vehicle has not been inspected other than during recalls and oil changes. No warning lamps or messages have appeared.

May 5, 2025, I took the Honda 2019 Passport to Bend Honda, Bend Oregon for three items. First an oil change. There were two recalls, MOST and the fuel pump. Neither American Honda nor Bend Honda sent any letter stating part were available. The workmanship appears as though a "PIG" worked inside the car. Mud, dirt, bits of leaves, etc. were found. There are some scrapes on the driver side panel from someone's foot. The windows were down when I received the car. It must of be left outside the dealership overnight because of a gasoline leak. On the way home I had to drive with the windows part way down because of the fumes. The Passport is inside my garage and several times I've opened the doors to vent out the gasoline fumes. The fuel pump is either installed incorrectly or the interior had a large spill of gasoline while removing the fuel pump. Could be the wrong pump? The fumes should not be this terrible.

- #11659429May 7, 2025SEATS, AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS
There were no warning light, malfunction errors or anything prior to 1/4/2025. My passenger seat weight sensor was supposedly finally replaced on 4/9/2025 (I kept being turned away due to the part not being available), but it is still not working, as it is not illuminating/communicating with the dashboard appropriately. I told the dealer this the same day and they said it was late in the day so I had to bring it back. I went back to the shop twice and the second time they kept my car for 5 hours and said they couldn’t figure out why it’s not working so I would have to go back to the collision shop from 1/9/2024 to see if it is a wire or air bag issue. I got in my car and noticed that now the passer seat belt alarm is on so I took it back. They told me they can’t keep examining my car and I would have to pay for a full diagnostic test to see why the seat belt alarm and weight sensor is not working. I kept going back and forth with them that this is a safety issue and it needs to be fixed and I should not have to pay for this because at least the seat belt alarm was working before I went to them on 4/29/25. I also asked for a supervisor and was told no one was available and I would have to come back a 4th time. I left and instead of going back for who knows how long, I called the collision shop on 4/30/25 and have gone back and forth with them about finding out why my car is still not fixed. It is now 5/7/2025 and neither my passenger air bag sensor or seat belt sensor is working properly and the alarm is still beeping unless I lock the passenger seat belt. I do not trust the dealership and I am pissed off at the collision shop because no one seems to care that there are safety defects that are still not working correctly. I should also not have to pay for something that was out of my control and should have been done correctly the first time. I need some help now as this is an urgent matter and I do not feel safe or that my passenger will be safe in my vehicle.

I am having an issue with the turn signal / emergency flasher not making any noise while in operation. The system visual components work fine. It's the inability to hear the flashing of the signals while driving down the road This could lead to issues with other cars trying to interpret the intention of the movement of my car while I am driving. I went to the Honda dealership (Gillman Honda) service department and was informed that my particular model does not have a fix or capability for the sound level to be adjusted, whereas other models (Pilot, Accord, etc.) do have this capability. Replacement of the flasher is not an option. Could the NHTSA please create a minimum decibel level standard to help insure safe operation of vehicles on the roads.
