- #11561595December 22, 2023VISIBILITY/WIPER
On 7/11/23, I reported issue to my Honda dealership and headquarters (had case number) regarding reduced visibility impacted by driver’s side mirror vibrating, leading to dizziness and inability to clearly see cars using that mirror. Field representative drove car and said he couldn’t duplicate the issue. Still having issues with vibrating mirror.

The AC in heat mode between 76F - 80F makes a bubbling noise on driver side vent - this might be improper seal in evaporated core.

- #11560950December 19, 2023SERVICE BRAKES, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Took my Honda CRV 2021 EX in because all of my warning lights (Critical Failure) were going off as I was driving. All safety features were failing including AWD control, braking, sensors, cruise control, etc. They replaced the battery and tested the alternator. They reset the system and said it was fixed. I picked mine up today, drove it for 10 mins on the highway and then hit the "MAIN" button on the stearing wheel to turn on the cruise control. As soon as I did that, ALL of the warning lights came on at the same time and the systems started to fail again. This is a hazard and could cause an accident at any moment. In reviewing the Honda forums, this is a massive problem with hundreds of Honda CRV EX 2020-2022 models. I'm 7000 miles over my warrant and Honda won't look at it. However, it is directly their problem and my car is only 2 years old.

Electric Power Steering is binding/sticking when making minor adjustments to keep vehicle centered in lane when driven on a straight road. When you apply more torque to overcome sticking steering it will release with a little jerk to the steering wheel and then overcorrect making it difficult to keep vehicle centered in your lane. This is less noticeable at slower speeds while more noticeable at higher speeds. This issue starts after a 15 to 30 minute drive. On icy roads the sticking steering and resulting overcorrection can cause you to loose control of vehicle which creates a safety hazard. Issue started in October of 2023. Raised issue with Honda Dealer when I had oil changed. Dealer recommended I bring vehicle back if problem persists. No warning lamps or messages have appeared. I will be returning vehicle to Dealer for evaluation.

Steering is sticky, even with lane assistance turned off. Steering wheel resists efforts attempting to manipulate it when trying to make changes in direction, whether for turns, adjusting for curves in the road. or straightening position in lane. Steering wheel does not operate smoothly - must fight the wheel with every input. Issue is not intermittent, it is persistent, happens at all speeds, and is getting progressively worse.

The steering wheel will freeze up, and I have to forcibly jerk the wheel to the opposite direction to return directional control. This typically happens at freeway speeds in sweeping right hand turns. This problem has gotten worse over time. Problem not common in left hand turns, or at lower speeds.

issue related to Honda Sticky Steering problem. Problem is being investigated in over 530,000 2022-2023 Honda Civic, 2023 Honda CR-V and 2023 Accura Integra vehicles. I own a 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid and would like to report that I am experiencing the same issues with Sticky Steering and am adding my concern to the list of other car owners with similar issues. I hope that a recall will be instituted to fix this serious safety problem/defect. It is my understanding that the NHTSA has now upgraded the investigation and look forward to a speedy resolution to fix the problem. Honda issued a TSB 23-037 back in July which told dealers to replace the electronic power steering gearboxes on 2022-2023 Civics if customers complained about sticky steering. A recall or similar order needs to be established to fix same issue with 2023 Honda CRV's.

After driving for a period of time, the steering exhibits "sticky" behavior. By this I mean that there is unexpected and unusual resistence to the steering of the vehicle. This behavior developed over a period of time - when new, the vehicle did not exhibit such behavior. While I cannot assert that this is unsafe, it certainly does not instill a sense of security or safety in driving the vehicle. I believe this needs to be investigated.

I experienced a fuel theft while parked in a hospital parking lot. This vehicle has a fuel filler lid that opens from outside and can be opened by anyone. I came back to the vehicle to find the fuel filler lid open and the gas tank at a lower level than when I parked. I checked and there was no leakage. Fuel filler lids should open from inside vehicles or have a lock on them.

- #11559511December 11, 2023EXTERIOR LIGHTING
This vehicle has the new "signature" Honda headlights. The low beam has two illuminated lights which oncoming drivers mistake as high beams. They flash their high beams at me to inform me that I am driving with high beams turned on when I am not temporarily blinding me and creating an unsafe situation. I live in a rural area with mostly single carriageway roads and this happens almost every time I drive at night.

We were in a parking lot. When my husband (driver) put the car into reverse, it accelerated wildly, and the brakes would not work. We almost struck a pedestrian. We were able to put the car into park to stop it. We waited, checked to see if something was stuck under the pedal. Then my husband put the car into drive. It accelerated wildly again. Brakes did not work. We nearly struck a car. We waited. Finally, we thought the car was ok, and we attempted to leave the parking lot to head home. The car did it again. We called AAA and had the car towed to the nearest Honda dealership. It has been there for more than a week, and the service department is telling me that there is nothing wrong with the car. The American Honda rep told us the same thing.

I was driving on the interstate between 55-65 mph on a straight path when I noticed the steering wheel would stick when I would try to follow the curve of the road. I would have to apply increased steering effort to keep or correct the vehicle’s path.
