Steering has become extremely sticky. Extra force must be taken to maintain position in lane. The pressure required to turn the wheel past the catchy position causes the vehicle to maneuver excessively making it difficult to remain in the proper lane. This is extremely dangerous on wet roads at highway speeds.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated while turning the steering wheel in either direction, the steering wheel would hold and pull in the opposite direction without warning. Additionally, an abnormal, clicking sound would emit from the steering wheel after driving for an extended period. The vehicle was taken to two separate independent mechanics where one found no issue with the vehicle and the other stated that there was an issue with the axle. The contact had a repair performed on the axle; however, the failure returned. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V663000 (Steering) which he linked to his failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

There is the second time we have a transmission failure for the 2014 Honda Civic . Even though my car vin is not shown in recall notice, there is a general recall for 2014-2015 honda civic/accord. Earlier I had another Honda which also had a transmission failure when my daughter was driving. Fortunately , there was no accident . I wrote to the American Honda to take back the car as we felt uncomfortable due to transmission failure However they took the CAR back and replaced the transmission system for that car. (I am searching my old record to get you the copy of the letter I sent to American Honda Corporation and needed time to provide the same)

My clutch pedal bracket is poorly made after doing research I realized this is a common issue with these cars, the pedal brackets can break while driving and cause an accident if you are stuck in a gear and can’t get out of it

I first received the brand new car with 25 miles on May 5th, 2023. I had it for about an hour and it completely shut down on me in the middle of the road so I took it back that same day and it took them over 2 weeks to give it back to me, I finally received yesterday once again and this morning it broke down on me once again in the middle of traffic and it was due to the same issue that was “supposedly fixed.” I have a 3 year old with me most of the times and if that were to happen in the interstate and the car completely breaks down like it always is, not only would it most likely cost my life but it would cause my 3 year old sisters as well. This car is not reliable at all and I would honestly prefer a different one.

The steering is sticky. When this issue is happening, the car will not drive in a straight line without the driver actively trying to hold it in place but in trying to hold it in place, the steering sticks and you have to give it a slight jerk of the wheel to get it out of the correction. It's a constant battle with the steering. Any lengthy turning (on-ramps, etc) results in the steering holding itself in that position and requires the driver to make a slight jerk to release the position of the wheel. It's been happening for over a year, it started sporadically. In the past three months, it has increased in frequency and 'stickiness' to where it's now happening almost daily. Frustrated not to see a recall on this as it is difficult to replicate at a dealership during a short test drive. Currently at 51, 069 miles

Potential steering issues. Steering will randomly "stick", at around 60+ mph if not prepared driver could over react and thus be in an accident or cause one. The "stick" is very subtle and slight. As I am aware of it I easily corrected by bringing it back in alignment. Mechanic has performed diagnostic scan and nothing was revealed w/ the power steering. I do see that NHTSA is investigating similar issues w/ 2022 and 2023 Honda Civics. All statements are exactly as I am experiencing only my vehicle is a 2019 Honda Civic. This has been occurring for the passed couple of months. I have about 53k miles on my vehicle.

About 6 months after I purchased this car in early 2022, the steering wheel began to get stuck when turning and curving with roadways. I took my car to the Honda dealership and was turned away several times due to them not knowing what was wrong. As of today, May 2023 the steering wheel getting stuck is worsening to the point where I am concerned for my safety.

On a recent outing, I began to smell smoke and assumed it was from a nearby brush fire. In less than a minute after I first smelled smoke my vehicle began to shake. Suddenly my warning lights flashed and a puff of smoke came out from my hood near my windshield. I lost power in my vehicle as well as my steering and braking ability. Fortunately I was able to pull to the side of the road, at which point flames began to shoot out from the hood. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames and is now a total loss.

Steering sticks while on the highway at high speeds. Small changes in steering results in a sticking of the steering and when the car finally engages to turn it exacerbates the turning. Results in a very difficult car to keep straight on the highway and overcorrected turning at high speeds. Steering rack in the problem.

When starting from a stopped position, there is a squeal when letting out the clutch. I took it back to the dealership 3x and they couldn't duplicate it. Apparently it is a known issue as there are bulletins on it. It happens almost every time, especially on a slight incline.

The bluetooth Microphone screeches for the people on the other end of the call. I cannot hear it. It was replaced once under warranty, however my car is no long under warranty and it is doing it again. there are bulletins about this issue, but no recalls as it's not a safety issue. just a money issue.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The transmission warning light and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle made grinding sounds while driving. The vehicle was towed to a friend's body shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to tow the vehicle to a local dealer for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

The air conditioning system has failed. Safety is at risk due to elevated temperatures. Thousands of people have complained about these issues. HSB 19-091 does not go far enough, Honda needs to recall the entire a/c system and repair these manufacturer defects.

We bought my sona 2022 Honda Civic and 8 months later he started having sticky steering. He would try to turn and the sterring causes resistance and kicks back. This almost caused him to get into an accident. Honda delaership "repaired" the issue and 3 months later it started happening again while in the expressway! This time the car will be parked at the dealer for 3 months while we wait for the part that is backordered. This issue is very dangerous and its shocking that Honda is permitted to sell these deathtraps and no rtecall being issued. Please let me know what is being done about this issue as we are paying for a lease on a car that has been parked for a month at the dealer. Thank you

Steering "sticks" when making minor adjustments left or right to maintain direction, particularly on the highway. The force required to overcome the resistance causes it to overcorrect in the other direction. Wheels have recently been balanced and aligned by authorized Honda dealer.

I purchased a 2022 Honda Civic in the fall of 2021, brand new. After about 10K miles I noticed that the steering wheel was somewhat sticking and tough to turn at times. I brought this to the attention of my Honda dealer who advised that they could not get the vehicle to duplicate this. The problem continues to get worse as time goes on. At every oil change, I complain of the same thing, and get the same response. The problem is worse the longer I drive it during the day. I now have 43K miles on the vehicle and the problem is worse. I can turn the steering wheel to either side and the wheel will not return to a straight position without assisted effort.
