Honda won't cover my failing Evaporator for the AC in my 2019 Civic with only 43,000 miles. The AC helps defrost my windshield, it is a safety concern not to mention the scorching heat we get in the California summers. It is absurd that this part is failing already and Honda has admitted to numerous issues throughout the AC systems of these cars but claims no responsibility for the failed evaporator. They do this because it is a labor-intensive part to replace and it is unfair to shoulder this issue on the consumer.

I have had the accident mitigation system trigger for no reason causing the vehicle to slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop or close to a complete stop on two separate occasions. The first time this happened the vehicle had relatively low miles. I was driving down the road on a sunny day and the vehicle slammed on the brakes. The second time this happened I was driving to work right before the sun rise. The vehicle again slammed on the brakes all by its self. Thankfully no one was behind me either time.

Paint on hood started chipping away few months back. Now entire car hood paint is peeled off and starting to get corrosion perforation. Some parts of hood shows material fatigue and potential to have structural damage/holes into hood. Vehicle was inspected by authorized dealer (AutoNation Honda Hollywood, Florida) of Honda. Report # [XXX]. Case number with American Honda Motor Company [XXX] . Both dealer and manufacturer refused to acknowledge that issue warrants any remediation mentioning that VIN number and color of vehicle is not part of the recall. Honda does have similar recalls for paint peeling off for different color codes and have extended warranty to 7 years from date of manufacturer. Issue is wide spread and can be seen by multiple complaints and manufacturer communication section of NHTSA.GOV website. Issue is affecting other color codes than the one Honda acknowledged in prior recalls. Honda need to address the issue diligently to have issue correct to prevent further damage to hood and potential safety hazard at high speed. Steering is sticky at speeds above 40mph. Noticeable when making slight adjustments while maintaining lane. It is so sticky at times that it creates an overcorrection. This occurs even in corners, not just straight lane paths. Dealership has inspected the vehicle 3+ times telling me they cannot recreate it.

Just want to document/share an issue I've had recently. 8k miles 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Sedan. The steering wheel sticks at times. Driving straight and in turns. It's a slight stick, but increasingly more noticeable. While driving straight it happens if I don't touch the wheel for a few seconds. Then I'll need to make a minor correction and it's stuck. I have to put some decent pressure on the wheel to make it unstuck, which causes an over-correction. If i steadily make corrections it doesn't stick. Same in a turn. If I am making a slow or wide turn, wheel stays in same position for a second, it doesn't just roll out of the turn easily. I have to force it to come out of the turn. Again once it's unstuck it feels fine. Leaving it in one position for more than a second or two initiates the stuck. It is annoying.. I have read some Forums [XXX] ) and there are countless Civic owners that have same issues with no fix and they have been complaining that Honda dealerships are not fixing the issue n saying that they didn't see the issue. I hope Honda owns their mistake and fix my car along with others INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Engine block cracked causing coolant leak as confirmed by an ase mechanic. A replacement engine is needed at a cost of $5k-6k. I’m [XXX] old and can’t afford the cost. honda customer service was called and they said it was my responsibility to fix their manufacturing engine defect. honda should be forced to replace these engines. It’s their fault for the defect and need to step up and fix THEIR problems. Instead of forcing [XXX] old and in poor health seniors to fix it. I have a new 2023 civic that is still under manufacture warranty. The steering becomes stuck when driving. When driving, and you turn the vehicle a slight bit, instead of the steering straightening itself out, it stays stuck. So you have to forcefully keep making micro adjustments. I have shown it to a honda dealer ship and they agreed it was a manufacturers defect with the steering rack and have placed an order on the part. But theres so many cases of this that part is on back order and honda has yet to provide me with a solution in the meantime. So I have to keep driving a defective car thats basically brand new and honda wont even provide me a rental car.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel became firm, and was sticking while turning in direction. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was more noticeable while driving at highway speeds, and caused the vehicle to drift to either side, causing the driver to make additional adjustments to keep the vehicle driving straight. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 31,000.

A/C & Steering with another recall of the fuel pump The steering was hard to steer car in a straight line. I had to align the car three times so it could run smoother. Something is wrong with the steering. There were no warning lamps or messages. This first appeared from the day I bought it on May of 2018. I had to take the car back to dealership several times. The mechanic could not find anything wrong but I've had several leases of Honda Civic's/Accord's and this is the first that does not drive smooth and has recalls. I feel this car is a patched car/lemon and would rather have it replaced with a newer model and less serious recalls or issues. My car stalled in my carport and got it running after waiting a few minutes. There hasn't been crash or injury but if they don't repair the fuel pump sooner then fall of 2024, this car is not safe for me to drive!

While driving at highway speeds, steering sticks and pulls to one side, and remains so until I force wheel back. This problem first started in February 2024 and has continued untill this date (3/6/2024). This poses a serious safety risk as it unexpectedly pulls car out of a straight direction, and needs to be done continuously. I fear it will ultimately cause loss of control of my vehicle and serious injury. No warning lights come on, the problem happens randomly, but frequently. I am afraid to drive at highway speeds anymore, the problem is very disconcerting.I have not taken the car to the dealer as of yet. I understand Honda is aware of the problem but to date will not address the issue. I am also aware of a class-action lawsuit against Honda for the same problem in 2022-24 Civics. I am more than willing to demonstrate the problem to anyone who wishes to investigate.

After about 6000 miles on the odometer, my vehicle started experiencing the "sticky steering" that other owners of this vehicle have been experiencing. When driving at about 55+ mph, the steering wheel gets very stiff, making adjustments to steering much more difficult. The issue was on and off, but it has occurred several times within a span of a few days. After this discovery, I took the car back to the dealership to try to get it fixed under warranty. It has been about 30 days and the issue is still not resolved.

This vehicle has sticky steering which seems to start or become much more of an issue after driving the car for about 30 minutes. The effort needed to turn the steering wheel increases, especially when making small corrections like freeway driving. The issue starts become very notable around 35-40mph and increases in "stickyness" as you travel faster. The steering wheel is hard to get it to move, and as it comes free it causes an overcorrection. It makes it hard to stay straight in a lane or to correct a turn after changing lanes, especially on the highway. This issue is dangerous at highway speeds and extremely annoying at slow speeds. Last week I almost sideswiped another vehicle after changing lanes on I-5 because the steering stuck so bad. Another time I almost went off the road. This issue is unrelated to the current active recall for the steering rack and does not go away when I turn steering assist off. If you listen closely while traveling at around 30-40mph, when the steering sticks, when it releases a slightly audible clunking sound can be heard coming from the front driver side of the car. This sound is hard to hear on rough roads but is obvious when the pavement is smooth. This issue has been reported and discussed by many drivers in online forums and may be related to the worm gear in the steering gear box. I experience this sticky steering problem at all speeds, temperatures, and lengths of time driving. I purchased my vehicle new about a year ago and it has 11,420 miles on it. The issue started somewhere between 6-7,000 miles.

I'm December of 2023 the steering started jerking left and right while driving. Honda also issued a recall related to steering in December of 2023. I took my car in for the recall and was advised the my car was safe to drive. The dealer advised that to resolve the jerky steering a new steering rig/box would need to be ordered. The issued has gotten persistently worse since December 2023 with no confirmed dates for the replacement part.

I purchased my car in December 2018. My car is a 2019 Honda Civic SI coupe I didn’t have any problems with my car other than two big dents on the top next to my sunroof. I notified the dealership in the beginning of summer of 2022 and they looked at it and told me that that was caused by me going too fast on a corner He literally told me with a straight face and I was very mad so I took it to a body shop Explain to him and showed him what the problem was. He then told me that he had another car come in for the same problem and I’m wondering if anybody else is having the same problem. The Body shop owner told me that that was caused by some weak points on the structure from the sunroof and to repair it. They would have to take some of the interior out and straighten it out from the inside if anyone else is having this problem, please let me know.

AMERICAN HONDA REFUSING TO ACCEPT that these vehicles they care more about profit than actual safety of customers and dealership even though my warranty expired they wont take in consideration to fix either sticky steering wheel situation which becomes dangerous driving not just on regular roads but worst on highways if you dont correct yolking or force steering wheel back in place you will get in bad accident its either from the steering rack itself or Sticky steering wheel that these new 2022-2023 or newer honda civics they are manufacturing at high rate that they dont care in inspecting it. They need to fix it. These corporations get away with alot and enough is enough they want money money money but not fix something they are aware about and push it upon customers.
