Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 26V366. When using the tire repair kit, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Honda Accord Hybrid vehicles. Due to a software error, the integrated control module (ICM) central processing unit (CPU) may reset while driving, causing a loss of drive power.
I was driving steadily on the freeway in slow moving traffic at 20-30 miles and had a lot of distance between me and the car in front. There was a sudden jolt and it appeared the vehicle was attempting to brake unexpectedly. If my foot had not been on the accelerator, I believe the vehicle could have come to a sudden, complete stop, potentially causing the vehicle behind me to rear end my car. Several months, before this incident, the Collision Mitigation Braking System and Lane Assist warning alerts would sound while I was driving on the freeway. This happened at two separate times. The sudden alarms are startling, and I cannot safely read the dashboard messages while driving. I am forced to slow down or pull over to check what is wrong, creating additional safety risks. I have a scheduled appointment with the Dealer this weekend due to the sudden braking however, I've brought this issue up with the service department in the past with the warning lights and they don't seem to have a definitive answer as to what is causing it. I have less than 20,000 miles on this vehicle.

The vehicle exhibits physical steering wheel freeplay/backlash at dead center, noticeable at all speeds but most critical during highway driving. While parked, the steering wheel can be moved slightly in both directions with zero corresponding movement from the front tires. This mechanical slack requires constant micro-adjustments on the highway to keep the vehicle tracking straight in its lane, creating a constant driver distraction and safety hazard."

I am reporting multiple recurring safety concerns involving my 2025 Honda Accord, including apparent electronic parking brake malfunctions, Auto Brake Hold failures, electrical system warnings, violent engine restarts, and a possible battery or charging-system defect. While stopped in traffic, particularly when the Auto Idle Stop system shuts off and restarts the engine, my vehicle sometimes experiences an unusually violent shaking or jerking motion. The restart can feel like a sudden, forceful kick. During these episodes, the electronic parking brake appears to engage unexpectedly without my manually activating it. Multiple dashboard warning lights and messages intermittently illuminate, including Brake System Problem, Brake Hold warnings, and other braking-related alerts. I have also experienced braking-related warnings or abnormal operation when traveling on inclines. The warning indicators sometimes disappear afterward, but the problems recur. I am concerned that these malfunctions could interfere with normal braking, acceleration, or vehicle control, particularly in traffic or on hills, creating a collision risk. Additionally, an AAA roadside assistance technician advised me that my vehicle’s battery appeared to be leaking fluid and needed replacement. A subsequent battery check at an auto parts store did not identify the same concern. I have repeatedly noticed a strong rotten-egg, sulfur, or sewage-like odor near the front of the vehicle and entering the passenger compartment through the air-conditioning vents. Another occupant independently noticed the foul odor. I am concerned about possible battery overheating, charging-system malfunction, electrical faults, and potentially hazardous fumes entering the cabin. The exact cause of these recurring problems has not been determined. I am requesting that these braking, electrical, engine restart, and ventilation-related safety concerns be investigated. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

The steering got really stiff and I almost crashed in highway 249!

In XXX, the driver assistance and safety systems on my 2025 Honda Accord SE began failing repeatedly. While driving, warning messages would appear for the collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams, and these systems would become unavailable. This happened multiple times over XXX and XXX . I took the vehicle to Hugh White Honda in [XXX], four to five times for this problem. The dealer replaced the forward-facing camera twice under warranty, but the warnings and system failures continued after each repair. The dealer was never able to identify or fix the underlying cause. I filed a complaint with American Honda on XXX (case XXX). Because the safety systems on a nearly new vehicle could not be repaired, I traded the vehicle in on XXX, with approximately 17,000 miles. No crash or injuries occurred, but the vehicle repeatedly lost the use of its collision avoidance and lane keeping safety systems in normal driving, and the manufacturer could not repair the defect.
