  This Preliminary information communicates During inspection of the vehicle for an unrelated concern the technician may notice that one or more of the following Cylinder Deactivation Performance DTC(s) P3498, P3499, P349A, P349B, P349C, P349D, P349E, or P349F may be set in history. and not requesting MIL.  If any of these DTCs are requesting the MIL, please follow appropriate service information for diagnosis & repair.  This condition may be caused by the ECM hardware disabling the cylinder deactivation outputs for an ignition cycle due to low voltage transient during crank & inadvertently causing one of the DTCs to set during an ignition cycle.

  This Preliminary information communicates  A vehicle may have a concern of running poor and stalling. No trouble codes may be set referencing this condition. Fuel trims around -20% may be observed on both banks. Engine oil level  will be found over full and have a  fuel odor. It will be found that the Engine oil is diluted with fuel.  Small gas engines (SGE) May only have the engine oil level over full and have a  fuel odor. It will be found that the Engine oil is diluted with fuel. This concern is caused by marshalling the vehicle around the lot before it is sold and/or short driver cycles.

The license plate bracket can be installed but bows away from the front fascia and in some cases, the front license plate bracket cannot be installed.
