The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the ABS Module had failed, and a software update was needed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact owns a 2025 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there were several warning lights illuminated with an abnormal beeping sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was informed to open the doors, turn off and restart the vehicle off to reset the system. In addition, the contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle failed to stop as intended while depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated that recently while driving at slow speeds down a hill during inclement weather, the ABS failed to operate as intended. transmission disengaged on highway causing very dangerous driving condition. There is a Ford TSB 25-2134 issued on 4/15/2025. I am told it is a transmission pump failure and would require a very costly transmission replacement. I am within the time limit of my warranty, but just out of range on my distance warranty.

STEERING, SERVICE BRAKES, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
Several warning lights, which included: ABS failure, Parking Assist Failure, Lane Avoidance Failure, Traction Control Failure, as well as having steering difficulty. ( mileage 24500 ). The problem was found by dealer to be an eletrical connector underneath the vehicle at the mid point, with their belief that it was corrosion, which I believe to be a defective component and design. I contacted Ford but they were not interested in retrevale of the connector, so as to diagnose the failure. ( I am keeping the connector )

SERVICE BRAKES
I nearly hit the back another vehicle stopped for a red light when my foot caught the edge of the gas pedal. The brake pedal depresses passed the height of the gas pedal. I understand this is a commonly reported Ford ranger issue . I understand a brake bleed software procedure will fix the problem . There apparently is a Ford TSB regarding soft brake pedal issue. I bought the truck new in 2021 and have less than 6000 miles on it. I thought the braking was normal . The bumper to bumper warranty I'll not cover brake issue due to the 36000 3 year coverage.

SERVICE BRAKES
The brake pedal sits too high and there are obstructions under the dashboard. I'm a size 10.5 shoe, when transitioning from gas to brake, I need to lift my foot, then when transitioning the top of my foot left, it hits braces/panels under the dash and delays my braking. It's possible under the worst of conditions, that this could be a factor in an accident.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
When I accelerate after a stop my truck starts jerking when shifting thru lower gears and the check engine light flashes. To increase my speed I have to slowly press the gas until it shifts thru gears. After it shifts thru the lower gears it appears to be okay. It doesn't do it at each stop but is now happening more frequently. I don't know if it's a transmission problem or fuel pump. Current mileage is around 62000. If I'm on the highway it will sometimes start jerking while the using cruise control and I have hit the brakes and take over acceleration. I've now parked the truck because dealer cannot get to it for 3-4 weeks.

POWER TRAIN
Transmission needed to be replaced before 50000 miles. Finally got replaced at 53000. New transmission has 11500 miles in it and is having the same problems as before. Dealership couldn’t replicate the problem and Ford is unwilling to help. Truck rough shifts, clunks, and shudders. At times won’t go into gear at lower speeds. Turned a corner at a slow speed and hit the gas but the truck wouldn’t accelerate for 1-2 seconds and I was almost rear ended by the car behind me. Truck has failed to go into gear and accelerate in traffic more than one time. 4 years old with 64xxx miles and in need of a third transmission.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Ranger. The contact stated while reversing, the back over prevention system failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the message to “See the Dealer for Repair” was displayed. The back over prevention camera system had displayed a black screen. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed rear-aide back-over camera. The contact was informed that the back over prevention camera system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Harsh/Delayed Engagement and Harsh/Delayed Shifting from 3rd to 4th and sometimes 5th to 6th There's a Ford service bulletin out for this #25-2134 My truck was built on 08/26/2022 but this bulletin only covers trucks built before 08/15/2022 It occurs daily. My dealer tells me to live with it.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the contact had trouble seeing out of the windshield and became aware that the front windshield was distorted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where a warranty claim was submitted, and it was determined that the windshield needed to be replaced. The windshield was replaced but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Gosch Ford Temecula-Service Dept (26895 Ynez Rd, Temecula, CA 92591); where it was determined that a windshield replacement was needed. The windshield was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer checked other years, makes, and models, and became aware that the vehicles had the same distorted windshields. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

POWER TRAIN
Transmission on this brand new vehicle with less than 3500 miles is bad. Safety issue as well. Periodically you will go to press accelerator and nothing will happen. The truck will fall out of gear and will not accelerate randomly. I've had this incident occur when trying to get into the highway which is unsafe and I've had this happen on standard roadway as well. This is a big safety concern because of vehicle won't go into gear and accelerate then it could cause rear collision from other vehicles on the road. In addition to this if you drive the vehicle, turn it off, and then a few hours later go to drive the vehicle again the transmission slams into gear so hard that the entire truck jumps. This Ford Ranger has huge transmission issues and after looking online many owners of this same vehicle have this problem yet Ford won't do anything about it because the maintenance light doesn't pop up on the dash despite the obvious and dangerous issue happening.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the alert of a sensor was displayed. The contact stated that the message that the sensor was not working, and the front center sensor was not available, was displayed. The contact stated that the brakes independently activated whenever the sensor alert was displayed, causing the vehicle to stop unexpectedly without a vehicle or object being nearby. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice, and the contact was informed that the Ford engineers were working on the issue. The code was cleared, and the air and sensors were not working. The contact was informed that there was no fix for the issue. The contact was unable to use adaptive cruise control, and the vehicle was parked. The contact was unable to use the features.
