Windshields are made with glass far to thin. In the last 30 years i have never had a chip or crack on any vehicle. This is my second maverick, first one i had to replace windshield 3 times and fill 4 chips in 4 years. This new maverick i have now i have had for 1 month and already have a chip in my windshield. There is a major problem with the glass used on these trucks.

Ford has 25N09 addressing the axles for the 2022 Ford Mavericks built later in the 2021 year, but mine was built in September of 21. I have axle issues as well, and this is the first vehicle I've ever had that's this new and has clunking in the CV axles. Mine clunks loudly, and the truck has 114k on it.

The chrome tips on the window switch fell off and jammed itself in the switch, in the on position for the passenger window. These exact parts are already on recall for different Ford models but it is the same part number being used.

My 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid experienced repeated 12V battery discharge and “Deep Sleep” events associated with Recall 24C01 and SSM 53801. The vehicle repeatedly discharged the 12V battery while parked under normal conditions. In January 2026, after approximately two weeks parked in freezing temperatures, the battery experienced a complete discharge and the vehicle required multiple jump-starts to remain operational. Ford dealer records later confirmed that the corrective action associated with SSM 53801 had not been applied prior to the failure event despite prior complaints and service visits. The repeated discharge events resulted in failure of both: the original factory battery, and a replacement AGM battery installed at owner expense. This condition created repeated stranded events and loss of vehicle reliability. I am submitting this complaint because the issue appears directly related to documented parasitic drain conditions already acknowledged by Ford in Recall 24C01 and SSM 53801, and because the failure condition persisted before corrective action was finally applied.

I was trying to turn and the wheel kept kicking back the other direction. About a week prior to this as I was driving down the road all of a sudden the wheel threw me across a median and into incoming traffic almost causing multiple accidents. I have a video of it but it won’t allow me to upload it. [XXX] However this link should play it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

When we brought it in for first oil change at the dealership ; when we got it back it had a broken axle which they tried to say we just needed new tires , after contacting service manager and he and I go for a ride in it they kept it for several weeks and put over 300 miles on it and got ford engineering involved to determine the cause was broken axle. It has been replaced again since then supposedly by a recall but it feels like it is broken again ! Ford took some shortcuts and used inferior parts, infrastructure etc , we had tremendous problems with the battery to which they said their shouldn’t be any reason for this be happening loss of power loss of electrical display and distribution finally I just had to replace the battery on my own because they refused to accept responsibility 4-6 months later a recall for the batteries was issued. The axles on the truck are not sufficient and they are not taking care of it properly! I would also like to report that they cut so many corners on the Maverick that the tailgate just drops no shock absorber nothing just slams on the bumper very dangerous! & They also chose to leave many open” holes” where mud rocks , leaves etc get into the front quarter panels from the hood area at the corner of windshield . So this wet material gets trapped in there n I’m sure will eventually affect the structural integrity of the panel - maybe rust through! Same thing happens with the tailgate fills with debris from bed , rear wheel wells also have a whole. I just wish ford would go back to how Henry Ford ran the company ! Help NHTSA

During acceleration from 40-60 miles per hour, there was a pronounced vibration/shudder through the front end of the vehicle. After taking it to the dealership, they advised both front axles would need to be replaced. The catastrophic failure of an axle is likely to cause a car crash. The problem has been identified by Ford Motor Company and also confirmed by the Ford Dealership where I got it fixed. Ford Motor Company issued Customer Satisfaction Program 25N09 On September 17, 2025. My vehicle is a 2023 model year, but produced at the same plant and in the same time frame as the the ones mentioned in 25N09. There were no warning lamps or messages about the problem. The only indication was the heavy vibration a few thousand miles prior to getting it looked at.

I have a Maverick (24 AWD XLT) and this issue has occurred twice. It happened on my vehicle the first time as I was trying to turn left, up an incline, with oncoming traffic - loss of acceleration. There was simultaneously a service light and power train malfunction message that went to my ford app. The vehicle had 5k miles on it. I took it immediate to the dealer. After testing they said the connection at the accelerator was loose (pigtail) and replaced. I just had the same failure occur yesterday (~22k miles) on my way home from work, except I lost acceleration on an inclined on-ramp trying to merge onto the highway. I had just slowed on the ramp to let a semi pass, and am thankful I didn’t try to get ahead of it. It wouldn’t have ended well. Still, I could see traffic jamming behind me, and folks were struggling to get on the highway because of my significantly reduced speed. Losing control of acceleration at a point where it is critical is very dangerous. I’ve never experienced a vehicle failure that felt like it risked my life. For this to occur twice in key moments of acceleration, with less than 25k miles is unsettling. Online there are many similar reports, not sure how this isn’t a recall yet.

Vehicle started experiencing loss of power while driving on the highway. After having it towed to the local Ford dealership, we were informed that our transmission was shot and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had 62k miles on and no dash light warning and no ford pass warnings about the issue. It cost us $7k to replace and 4 months without the vehicle.

"Powertrain System Fault" was given from App, "service engine soon" on dash along with check engine light and "wrench". Dealership said Hybrid battery needs replaced. Dealership said "We don't know what the battery issue will effect if it does go bad." Corporate says "wear and tear item after 36000 miles or 3 years". I have also had to replace the 12V battery this year. I do not see how both batteries can "go bad" within 4 years of manufacturing... Online says truck could go into limp mode with no warning. Truck is available for inspection upon request. If truck will go into limp mode with no warning, could cause many safety issues. Problem initially occurred 3 days ago. Dealership cleared codes and has not happened again. Vehicle has only been inspected by dealership Only issue with electrical before EV battery was the 12V battery that went bad and had to be replaced. Went to start up the truck one afternoon (had been driving all day before this) and the lights on the dash popped on and the "Service Engine Soon" popped up and beeped. Drove it home that Saturday and did not drive it until dropped it off at dealership Monday morning. There must be something electrically causing problems since I just replaced my 12V battery about 6 months ago and now the EV battery is "bad". I've never heard of a Ford 12V battery not lasting at least 8 years. Multiple people I know have original 12V batteries in vehicles 2018 and older... Batteries should not be considered a "wear and tear item" batteries should be covered under their own warranties. Having basically no warranty on batteries poses a severe health risk with the disposal and creation of the old and new batteries.

When the battery voltage suddenly drops the vehicle loses its power steering making slow speed turns extremely difficult. This poses a serious risk of the inability to control the direction of the vehicle and this makes a crash extremely probable.

Over the past 1-1/2 years I have experienced my transmission going into neutral and loss of power 4 times. The first time it happened I thought my hand hit the shifter and moved it into neutral. After a few more incidents and seeing the recall, I realized this was the cause of the issue. I noticed the NHTSA website has recall number 25V881000. Today I contacted Ford Motor Company regarding this recall and they do not show it against my 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid. I have experienced the problem as indicated below and have not received a recall letter on this. Was my VIN left out of this recall? Dates were between November 2024- February 2026 Incidents occurred between 40-75 mph Mileages between 4000-12000 Very scary losing power on the expressway with lots of traffic Recall date 2025-12-17 Recall no. 25V881000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick Hybrid and 2020 Escape Hybrid vehicles. The Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) software may cause the vehicle to shift into neutral unexpectedly, causing a loss of drive power. The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 55-65 MPH, the vehicle shut off. The driver was unable to pull over to the side of the road. The driver was able to jumpstart the vehicle and continued driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred while pulling into a parking lot. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be picked up due to safety concerns. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that a new 12-Volt battery cable overlay was needed, and the current battery cable needed to be disabled. The dealer related the failure to the Ford Customer Satisfaction Program: 22B39 (2022 Maverick HEV No Start Condition), but the contact was informed that the Customer Satisfaction Program had expired. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but denied assistance. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Vehicle started to have a shake under acceleration. Reported it to multiple dealerships and requested them to specifically observe the CV axles. Finally secured an appointment on 11-24-2025 while vehicle was under factory warranty. Tenvoorde Ford informed me (the owner) that the CV axles were “fine” and a non issue. Shake was still present. Kept driving the vehicle and now, five months later with no factory warranty left on the vehicle, shake still present, and received a second opinion today. CV axle needs replacement. ~68,000 miles on the odometer. I exclusively commute on interstate 94 in central Minnesota, hardly drive in cities. There is no justifiable reason when the vehicle was at the dealership that the CV axle went from being just fine to needing replacement. This is a very common concern with these Ford Mavericks and Ford needs to conduct a recall before people get injured on the public roadways.

- #11731032April 14, 2026SERVICE BRAKES
This is a supplemental filing to my existing NHTSA complaint #11715308. I am requesting that the Office of Defects Investigation open a formal Preliminary Evaluation into the 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid braking system. Since my original complaint, the following has occurred: Ford Motor Company denied my claim on April 2, 2026 through a three-sentence letter from a paralegal at Erskine Law PC in Michigan. The denial addressed none of the evidence submitted including repair orders, fault codes from Ford's own OASIS system, a recorded call proving warranty claim suppression, and a notarized sworn statement. The vehicle now has 107,982 miles. The ABS defect remains unrepaired after four attempts and over 50 days out of service. Active fault codes C052E and U0418 were confirmed in Ford's OASIS system when the vehicle was returned unrepaired on January 28, 2026. Ford has already issued Recall 25V787000 for brake booster ECU overheating causing loss of brake power assist in Maverick vehicles, demonstrating prior corporate knowledge of braking defects in this model line. There are currently 149 brake-related complaints in the NHTSA database for the 2024 Ford Maverick with no open ODI investigation. On [XXX], the braking defect caused a collision (APD Crash Report [XXX], no driver error assigned). I have a notarized sworn statement linking the collision to the unrepaired defect. I have concurrent active complaints with the NM Department of Justice (XXX), BBB AUTO LINE (XXX), FTC (#XXX), CFPB (#XXX), and Ford's internal SpeakUp ethics program (#XXX). I am formally requesting ODI review of the 2024 Maverick Hybrid braking system given the volume of complaints, the existing recall on related models, and Ford's documented refusal to repair my vehicle despite confirmed fault codes in their own diagnostic system.
