In 2025 I took my truck in for a recall reference 24S37 which was a software update to prevent intermittent failure of my output shaft sensor in my transmission. My sensor is now failed and FORD is claiming that there is no remedy for coverage as I already did the software update but my truck is still experiencing problems

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the cruise control activated, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted while the RPM was high, rendering the cruise control inoperable. The transmission warning light was illuminated intermittently. The failure recurred. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to O'Reilly's, where diagnostic trouble codes P0706 and P0707 (Transmission Range Sensor) were retrieved. The vehicle was towed to the residence and then to the dealer, who related the failure to the recall but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 182,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission independently downshifted. The power train warning light illuminated. The contact stated that when the power train warning light illuminated, the fuel gauge, the odometer and the speed limit indicators were disabled. In addition, the contact stated that when the transmission shifted to fifth gear, it did not downshift. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed OSS sensor and a failing lead frame. The contact was informed that the OSS sensor and the lead frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 185,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES
Tried to turn on vehicle one morning and it would not start due a parking brake error message & a warning light on the dashboard. The message on the screen behind the steering wheel stated “park brake fault service now” and there was a clicking noise heard coming from underneath the truck. I tried to reset the parking brake by pressing and holding the button as indicated online but it didn’t work. The brake also physically revolted at me pressing down on it and would stutter/thump and not let me press it down fully without heavy resistance. The clicking noise continued randomly even when I was not in the vehicle. Then the door locks stopped working with my car keys, I could only open the drive door manually. I had no means to jumpstart my battery. I called Ford local dealership to come check the issue incase it was a recall issue that had not been reported for my vehicle yet. They are scheduled to come Monday 6/1/26.

My sister's 2008 Hyundai Elantra burned completely nothing left my truck was parked next to it it also burned the entire driver's side It was ruled an accident by fire department but progressive has turned down any claim from me the said since there was no one at fault even though her car burned my truck it's my problem

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
My car is experiencing a harsh down shift from 3rd to 4th gear with lack of power on acceleration on my vehicle since 10/25/2024. I have taken it in to three service departments including Karl Flammer Ford in Tarpon Springs, FL. Each service department has said the only remedy is a New Transmission estimated to be $7,000-$8,000 (receipts of diagnostics can be provided). We have already spent $524.95 for diagnostic testing. Because we have been unable to afford to have the problem fixed we are currently driving around in an extremely dangerous vehicle. I have received the notice of Ford's "Important Safety Recall" Notice 26S28/ NHTSA Recall 26V237 and have researched that other F-150's from previous years have experienced similar issues with the transmission and have been recalled. I would like to be on record, incase something were to happen because of this transmission, that the NHTSA as well as Ford Motor is completely aware of how dangerous this situation is. Quoting from the recall notice: an unexpected downshift to a lower gear can occur causing an abrupt wheel speed reduction. This may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

SERVICE BRAKES
While driving this vehicle, the brake line was cut after making contact with the A arm assembly, at the highest point on the line. I immediately lost my brakes as the brake pedal went to the floor. I am extremely lucky that I was able to stop within the parking lot that I had just entered and did not have to make an immediate stop.

I've spent hours trying to get Ford to fix the 23S65 hub recall. I get nowhere. Finally got a case number - # XXX-XXX. Recall started 2023 if I'm not mistaking. I've called dealer many times and they say Ford. Ford can find parts for new vehicles but not for my truck. I bought the truck to tow but I'm scared to use it. It seems Ford will never "have" parts. It feels like they want me to crash it or get stranded before fixing it. They have the parts. Just for new trucks or people whose trucks are completely broken. I want to tow but I can't. My truck after doing all the symptoms stated in the recall a ford technician deemed it unsafe to drive has been grounded since May 9th the dealer nor ford manufacture will give me a rental.or help in anyway..so June 9th will be 30 days for a truck I cant drive and still making payments and have full coverage on that I have to pay for it would appreciate if ford would help or buy it back

SERVICE BRAKES, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
About 30 mins prior to the incident,the accelaration was vey slow getting upto only 30/35MPH Message appeared in Dash Board instructing to SCHEDULE MAITANANCE SERVICE SOON. My last service was done only 2 months ago. anyhow i decided to drive the nearest Ford Dealer. On exiting the Freeway,the ramp was downhill and the Braking System completely failed and I crashed into the pavement. All the AirBags came on. I have Sternal Contusion.
