Some 2021-2022 F150 customers may have concerns including, but not limited to: no power to the distribution box, rear camera inoperative, rear park assist inoperative, box lights inoperative, power up/down tailgate inoperative, unable to open tailgate by tailgate switch, and no tailgate AJAR message when the tailgate is AJAR. These concerns may be caused by faulty connections between the pickup bed, tailgate, rear lamp assemblies, or bumper where connectors are disconnected, damaged, or coated with bedliner. Prior to performing any warranty diagnosis or repairs, verify if the vehicle had an aftermarket spray-in-bedliner. Any repairs resulting from aftermarket products/installation, including but not limited to a spray-in bedliner, are not covered under warranty.

This article supersedes TSB 22-2095 to update the vehicles affected. Some 2021-2022 F-150 and F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a B and O audio system may exhibit the rear window glass sliding panel rattling when in the open position and music is playing. This may be due to a low amount of seal extrusion pressure provided by the rear window glass sliding rail and/or the rear window glass sliding panel defroster wire harness vibrating between the two panels of glass. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to install the rear window glass sliding panel service kit.

Summary
Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1533 stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in December 2022, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information.

Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine may experience and illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P2ABA, P2ABC, P2AB7 and/or P2AB9 stored in the PCM. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. If no other DTCs or drivability symptoms are present, clear the DTCs and return the vehicle to the customer. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in October 2022. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

Some 2021-2022 F-150 3.5L PowerBoost, 2022 F-150 Lightning and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software parameters. This condition does not affect brake system hydraulic functionality. Clear the DTC to restore ABS functionality. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via an over the air (OTA) software update expected in November 2022. Software will update automatically if the vehicle is connected to FordPass/LincolnWay. Monitor OASIS for additional information. Schedule a service appointment for customers that are not connected to FordPass/LincolnWay once the repair becomes available.

Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E, 2022 F-150 Lightning/E-Transit vehicles may exhibit a concern where the vehicle is unable to achieve 100 percent state of charge immediately after high voltage (HV) battery module replacement. This may be due to the battery energy control module (BECM) adjusting the cell balance (conditioning) of the battery module and should be corrected within 16 days. If the vehicle otherwise functions as designed with no related diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) setting, this concern will be corrected automatically with no further actions required by the technician.

Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E, 2022 Expedition/F-150 Lightning vehicles equipped with the 15.5 inch center display screen may experience a blank or inoperative screen with an accessory protocol interface module (APIM) diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B108E:01 present. A touch-beep may be heard when pressing the center display screen in screen region where a soft button is expected to be displayed even though nothing is displayed on the center display screen. This concern may be intermittent and resetting the SYNC module (APIM) may temporarily restore screen function. To correct this condition, follow the Workshop Manual Section 415-00 to replace the 15.5 inch center display screen. For claiming, use base part 10D885 and the applicable labor operations of Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles built on or before 22-Feb-2022 and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 01-May-2022 may experience a false alarm activation event with a trailer connected and/or a U0143:87 stored in the trailer module (TRM). Vehicles that exhibit a false alarm activation will also display a Security System Detected A Trailer Disconnect message in the FordPass app. This may be due to various software parameters in the TRM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the TRM, driver door module (DDM) and the passenger door module (PDM).

Summary
Some 2017-2022 Ford/Lincoln customers may experience a notification in the FordPassÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ®/LincolnWayÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. This occurs when the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SOC) drops below 50%. A warning may also set if the telematic control unit (TCU) has received an over the air update. The TCU powers down all communication when in this mode and app features are disabled. Manually start the vehicle to wake if from mode. More information is located in the app under: Account > Help > search 'Deep Sleep' in the entry box. If the condition remains, check the BCM 12v SOC. If the SOC does not change after charging the battery or after BMS reset is performed, continue with normal battery and/or BMS sensor diagnostics.

Summary
Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with DTC P2C44:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to an issue with ground circuit GD132 or the auxiliary battery isolator. Perform Pinpoint Test I in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06D and make sure the integrity of GD132 is carefully inspected and tested with the inclusion of G102, C146 and C1989C. Then perform the Auxiliary Battery Conditions(s) Test in WSM, Section 414-01, Pinpoint Test B. If no issues are found in Pinpoint Test I, GD132 and the auxiliary battery condition test passes, replace the auxiliary battery isolator per WSM, Section 414-01. For claiming, use causal part 14526 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

This may be due to a concern with the shock absorbers. Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with On-Board Scale may exhibit DTC U3000:54 stored in the VDM after replacement and will not clear. A warning message may also be displayed in the center display screen. If programmable module installation (PMI) was not followed or the original VDM will not communicate, the U3000:54 may be stored. If the original VDM communicates, perform a PMI before VDM removal. This DTC does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution that is expected in September 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the VDM will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available
